Where I live, at least. And I don't know about any of you... but I'm tired of the heat already. It's awfully blech. Just... no. Can't do it. Nope. Regardless!
What plans do you have this summer? Or if it's not summer where you are, what do you like to do during your actual summer? Are you a fan of the heat or, like me, do you get heat sick far too easily? Swimming: yay or nay? If you're in college, are you taking classes this summer? If so, what kind? Obligatory LK beach world mention.
Questions. Questions galore! Also, hi.

Ooh. What/who are you cosplaying as? It's not something I'm ever likely to do, but I always think that the costumes people make are really cool. My sewing skills are minimal and some of the cosplays that I've seen are just... wow.
And I know it's early but we both know that I'll probably forget, so: good luck with the move! Hopefully you do get to spend some time with your friends before you leave.

Summer means beating the heat with a nice tall glass of limeade and going swimming in the pool (maybe, it's really humid here). Personally I rather stay indoors with the AC on while catching up with the latest anime/manga that I've been following during free time.
We don't have many conventions here unfortunately. I've gone a few times to one (even had a table in the Artist's Alley with a buddy of mine last year), but I think I'm over this particular con. I would love to visit a larger con like Anime Expo or A-kon, but eh. I'm beginning to think I'd rather save up for TGS or something. xD

Nothing wrong with a simple costume! Are you going to dye your hair green and do some fake Panda Hero tattoos, too?

Blech. Humidity-- I do not miss it. Still, here's to hoping that your AC works all summer long! There's nothing quite like having it die during the hottest day(s) of the year.
What kinds of anime/manga are you following?

Yes, I can attest that it is the worst. There were a few times we stayed when they announced small category 1 hurricanes and of course, power gets shut off and such. It's terrible to have no electricity with our humid weather. All the windows were open and we tried our best to keep cool. I do not recommend doing this. If there's an evacuation, it's best to heed that warning. From last season, I was following Seikaisuru Kado and Pokemon Sun & Moon mainly. There's a list of backlog anime I also pick from which include Darker than BLACK, Noragami, Gintama. I have a huge list so...it's not hard to find something to watch. xD Do you also follow anime/manga?

It's winter! And winter break starts next monday (not tomorrow) and while it doesn't affect me since I'm a lazy bum my little brother is excited about it, he asked us (my sis and I) to download a bunch of movies and series we want him to watch, so we'll re-watch awesome stuff like Stranger Things, Ghibli movies, Over the Garden Wall and Marvel movies, among some oldies but goodies whee I actually like winter more than summer, mostly bc of warm and fluffy clothes, the only downside is that food gets cold and it's harder to work with chocolate lol. But, our winter is pretty nice since we usually don't have days where it's colder than 10°C (around 50F) so that's another reason, summers can get as hot as 45°C (around 113F) and you can feel like melting sometimes...I'm not fond of swimming but I love ice cream, altho I enjoy eating warm brownies with ice cream on winter too. I like rain but it can get tiring when your hair is a mess 24/7 and you can't wash your clothes bc they just don't dry, and during January there're times that rain just won't stop for whole weeks (we've got some serious floods in some places, luckily not where I live) emotion_facepalm Also, what's a convention like? Those don't exist in this small place I live, so I've never in my life been to one. Sometimes I wonder how good I'd be working on cosplays, since I'm crafty, but I feel I'm already old for that sweatdrop I only keep up with anime that I may like, mostly comedies and sports related, but I'm hella picky so the only thing I've watched lately is All Out! and after 25 chapters I'm still craving for more...I think I'll give Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun a try, but I'll wait till chapter 3 is out or I'll probably just forget about it after chapter 1 emotion_facepalm

Geno Rhapsody Do you also follow anime/manga? Despite the efforts of a good friend, no, I don't.* I'm just nosy, so I ask even though I have no idea what any of those things are. Sometimes I think about giving anime a try again but I wouldn't even know where to start. *She did, however, manage to addict me to the Princess Bride and apparently that was enough for her.

Winter, summer-- as long as there's a break at some point, I guess that's really the important part. xp
And I have to agree with you: winter is better. Especially with weather like yours. I would love to have that. The weather is obnoxiously bipolar where I live. It'll be nearly 100°F and in the low 40°s the next. But in the 50°s all winter long? That would be amazing.
I've never been to a convention myself but from what I hear, it's a lot of booths with information and games. Some fun activities and speakers. It sounds like a great place to meet old friends and make new ones with the added bonus of detailed costumes. But I'm pretty sure there isn't an age restriction, so your craftiness would be welcomed!

Well, winter break is only two weeks while summer is a little more than two months, huge difference lol. But, a break is a break and I enjoy spending more time with my lil bro, I was scared his teen years would be bad, but he's such a nice kid, he even does great in school! emotion_awesome We got some pretty warm days during winter too, sometimes even more than 70°F, so it's kinda like it's still autumn haha. We got a huge difference between the early morning and late night tho, so you usually end up carrying your coar around, I used to hate that when I went to school bc I wore a skirt as uniform, so there were times I had to go to the bathroom to take off my long stockings xp Mmm, conventions sound like the "expos" we got here, except they're about our culture, regional cuisine, agriculture and livestock (dang, anyone would think I live in the countryside) but there're also concerts and sports games...probably not that similar but if I get excited about that bc of the food I'd probably be more excited on a convention rofl

Are there any particular genres you lean more towards? Romance, comedy, action, etc. It'll narrow down the spectrum.

Oh. redface I didn't mean that you should pick something out for me. Now I feel bad. A little.
But, no, I don't really have strong preferences one way or another. I like a good mix of things-- fantasy, action/adventure, romance (so long as it isn't the whole of the plot), mystery. I'm not too fond of endless drama like on soap operas but that's really about it.
