Because I'm on a quest to earn 1 tril by the end of October for various guild things and it got me to wondering about what everyone else might be saving for while I'm doing this stupid thing. So. The aforementioned question: what are you questing right now? Alternatively, if you're not questing anything now, then what do you hope to quest in the future?
Further spoons, using pizza slices because I can:
yum_pizza Generally speaking, how do you feel about questing? Is it something you enjoy, something you dread, or somewhere in between? Are you good at it? Bad at it? yum_pizza Do you quest well with others or is questing a solo endeavor for you? yum_pizza What has been your most memorable quest thus far? yum_pizza Have you failed any quests? Set any aside for a while to focus on other things? yum_pizza Did you rescue the richer-than-god, to-die-for beautiful maiden from the evil, fire-breathing dragon yet? yum_pizza Misc. questions.

When I'm dedicated, I'm awesome at it. Although I haven't been dedicated to it in awhile.
Do you quest well with others or is questing a solo endeavor for you?
Basically just solo. I've never tried doing it with others.
What has been your most memorable quest thus far?
Probably when I got Ashen Marionette. It took me two weeks to save up 6 million gold, back when that amount meant a lot.
Have you failed any quests? Set any aside for a while to focus on other things?
The only quests I abandoned was the second time I went after white body dye and a couple of the times I saved up to a trillion gold.
Did you rescue the richer-than-god, to-die-for beautiful maiden from the evil, fire-breathing dragon yet?
Nope. Over halfway there though.

Unrelated, but your avatar is amazing!
That said, is it sad that I remember when marionettes (and Lucies) were all the rage and everyone was clamoring to get them? Still, that must have been great when you were finally able to snag one after working so hard for it. Are you questing anything now or is that lack of dedication you mentioned making things difficult?
I'm a little disappointed you haven't rescued the maiden, though. Her hair is getting a tad singed. Not an attractive look.

Thanks! Sad thing is, the inversion effect is an astra, so it doesn't show up when you favorite it.
I'm saving up to 100,000 platinum. I think that would be a trill? Don't know, I can't remember the conversion system. It's not for anything in particular. I've just been selling a lot of items on both my main and two mules and I figured I would save up till I got to that amount and then go on a major spending spree.
But then Golden Catch was updated and I got set back 1,500p for my many clicks. xD

I rarely quest for items, actually. Usually, when I make outfits for my avi, I don't use items that are over my budget. So, there's actually minimum questing for me on Gaia lol
But when I do have to quest, I feel pretty okay about it, probably because I'm used to long hours of grinding on mmo's lol I guess you could say that I'm pretty good at it, in the sense that I rarely get sidetracked or tempted by other things on Gaia. So, I will refuse to spend any significant amount until I get what I'm after. If I want something badly enough that I will quest for it, then all my energy and thoughts go to that. I guess I'm kinda single-minded that way, for better or for worse sweatdrop
I've never quested with others before, but I have donated to a few causes before. Does that count? xd
My most memorable quest so far is probably the one for my SPF, back when it was worth around 700-800b. Luckily, Gaia decided to sell it directly through the cash shop at one point, and I was able to snag it on the MP for around 400b. I'll admit that right before that cash shop sale happened, I was also semi-questing for White Body Dye, for which there was only 1 listing on the MP around 400b at that time, and I was seriously tempted to buy the dye. Thankfully, I did not buy the dye, and had the gold ready for the SPF when the sale happened. And then some time after that, I stumbled across somebody selling White Body Dye around 200b, so I ended up being able to buy both items for much less because I did not give in during my quest mrgreen
Wait, I was supposed to rescue the maiden? I thought I was supposed to rescue the dragon o.o

Budgeting actually seems like an enviable skill on Gaia nowadays. Since gold is so easy to earn (or was, depending on your currency), it takes real skill to avoid spending what you have. Also, considering that white body dye is about 800 bil right now, I'd say you found a hell of a deal and that I'm a little jealous. eek Overall, though, it's great that your other MMO experiences have helped you like this. Hopefully that transfers over to your real-life budgeting, too!
If I'm 100% honest... I like the dragon better than the maiden but that's more my borderline dragon obsession talking than anything else. Still, I'm good with that!

Generally speaking, how do you feel about questing? Is it something you enjoy, something you dread, or somewhere in between? Are you good at it? Bad at it? I mean, befoire the late and great Senior quest, I never even bothered with questing anything. Id just add items to my wishlist and go on a buy binge every once in a while. I'd like to say I was good at it while I was doing it, but recently Ive been very bad at hording gold like I should
Do you quest well with others or is questing a solo endeavor for you? Eh, I dont socialize enough with the right people here to do a joint quest. Im a solo player through and through!
What has been your most memorable quest thus far? Oh Im sure we all know what that is ;w;
Have you failed any quests? Set any aside for a while to focus on other things? I never failed, gaia failed me first! I so coulda gotten the ticket at some point if they didnt retire it ;w;w;ww;w;
Did you rescue the richer-than-god, to-die-for beautiful maiden from the evil, fire-breathing dragon yet? Naah, she said she liked the heat and wanted to stay for a bit. Cant say I blame her
Misc. questions. Why has everything been trying to kill me recently? ;w;

★ Pizzas! /total craving pizza this week
yum_pizza Generally speaking, how do you feel about questing? Is it something you enjoy, something you dread, or somewhere in between? Are you good at it? Bad at it?
I'm bad at it at this rate LOL. My quests live and die by how often I LK. Though I think that it depends the price range of what I'm questing. Anything within 500b is doable and something I can easily do. Anything above that, it takes longer, and I just get distracted/demotivated lol. (for example, ambitious fafnir hatchling (my currentl quest) is 2T, and I can't be arsed to get into LK to grind the money compared to a smaller 200b quest)
yum_pizza Do you quest well with others or is questing a solo endeavor for you?
I haven't tried a group quest or joint quest, but I am putting one together!
yum_pizza What has been your most memorable quest thus far?
My first one as a newbie to get my first watermeat. *u* It ended with a generous user gifting me my first watermeat, letting me save my money to buy another, and slowly build up my watermeat team aha.
yum_pizza Have you failed any quests? Set any aside for a while to focus on other things?
My current Ambitious Fafnir Hatchling quest should be considered a failure..lol.
yum_pizza Did you rescue the richer-than-god, to-die-for beautiful maiden from the evil, fire-breathing dragon yet?
where did this come from LMAO I don't think I did...but I did settle for a beautiful husbando from my joint quest, does that count? <3

Now seems like a good time to re-post this:
Although your slushy quest looks to be gaining momentum! Still, I don't see anything wrong with a wishlist binge every now and then. When Gaia put my big wishlist item in one of its shops again, I bought that baby real quick and splurged on things that I adored but had never planned to buy because they were a tad pricey. Worth it.
I don't know why everything has been trying to kill you lately. Maybe it builds character?

Heh. It's true though-- LK does play a big role in how well or poorly you quest. If you can't work up the motivation or desire to play, things go a little more slowly. At least you've got that pod of watermeats working for you. Or is it a gam? A frenzy? Herd? Shiver? (Yes, I did just look up what groups of whales and sharks are called.)
Maybe your ambitious Fafnir quest will pick back up! I mean, you're busy right now with all of your threads and now this Halloween thing. It's just that you might need a little break. And that Fafnir is sadly expensive. sweatdrop Gorgeous, but expensive.
The maiden question... I just like asking something random every thread. I mean, it was at least loosely related this time? Questing, saving the maiden-- there's a tie-in.

The only thing it's building is my unwillingness to leave the room ;w; And Im still waiting for gaia to bring back the last few kin on my wishlist. Doubt itll ever happen but I can be hopeful emo

Oh gosh, I didn't know there were unique names for groups of water mammals LOL. They all sound adorable. A herd of plush killing machines is what I'll go with!
Hopefully, it will. I might be so demotivated by schoolwork that I'll suddenly LK 2T outta nowhere, but, in the meantime, I'll just...let myself hover at 200b.
That tie-in was quite a reach LOL.

Questing for me is kinda an on/off thing. If there's an item I want, I stick it on my WL and come back to it days later as I'm grinding LK. I feel like I dread questing more than enjoy because it means having to grind and I get distracted VERY easily.
Do you quest well with others or is questing a solo endeavor for you?
I'm usually a solo player when it comes to quests, although lately I've been trying to help others with theirs. Tickets are so expensive and I could never afford any of them myself, so helping others is a lot easier.
What has been your most memorable quest thus far?
Mmm I'd have to say getting a Project Exclamation ticket! It was a combination of furiously arting, and LK grinding with help from two wonderful buddies that pitched in when I was REALLY close to getting enough GC for it! I can't thank them enough. crying
Have you failed any quests? Set any aside for a while to focus on other things?
Most of my quests are 400b or lower so I haven't failed any yet persay??? I do like to stop quests to buy cheaper things (I'm weak).
Did you rescue the richer-than-god, to-die-for beautiful maiden from the evil, fire-breathing dragon yet?
I wasn't notified of this quest??? But I love dragons and wouldn't want to harm it even if it's an evil, fire-breathing one. gonk

Ooh. Congrats on your ticket! If you don't mind my asking, what are you planning to create with it? Definitely have to agree with you on the easily distracted, kind of dreading questing thing. My focus is not as laser sharp as I'd like it to be.
(This quest is a secret, so shh. The dragon is a little ashamed to have been so cliche as to steal a princess, so he asked that it not be advertised.)

Thank you! It's (hopefully) going to be an off-black bubble with dark mint writing that says *excited bat noises*! Yeah it also doesn't help to be working full time so grinding is like more work? xD Okay, I promise to keep it a secret. ninja
