Dai looked back at his sister when she directed him through the doors of the cove, but finally gave in, because it was clear she was not going to give up and let him go back with her, or anything of that nature. The tall, slender young man slowly made his way down the stairs, staring silently at them, and the walls. When he got to the bottom, he stared around at what he could see from there. Torch, glowing runes all over the walls, enclosed space with... no water? What a strange place to call a Cove, but he did not take much time to argue internally over it. There was probably a reason for the name that he did not understand, so he just shrugged it off, and decided to examine the runes more closely.
His first instinct was to begin to examine the runes, trying to see if he could make some sense of the many runes. He spent a good five minutes studying them before he came to the realization he could not make any sense of them... And then another couple minutes to realize that they resembled weapons. "I need to find my weapon... These runes look like weapons. Interesting." He began to examine them all, trying to see if he can find the one he thought was the most powerful. That seemed to be the most logical option, in his hand. He would be better able to protect himself, and his sister too, if he had a strong weapon. He saw one that looked like a really big gun, and was going to reach for it, when he heard something speaking to him, which caused him to jump back and look around, eyes huge. The sudden voice, of course, was making him think of what Nash had said.
"No. Not that one. You do NOT get to pick. Turn your a** around and try again. You do not get to leave until you find me, too."
Dai looked even more horrified at those words. "Who the hell are you, and how dare you tell me what to do?" He snapped out, trying not to admit how terrified he was. He got no response, however. He did turn, and began to examine the runes on the wall behind him, looking extremely displeased by this turn of events. He was a free man, no one got to tell him what to do! Well, no one not his boss, he supposed. He HAD signed a contract, after all, and he was a man of honor. He would honor his word, and apparently he had to find his weapon as part of this nonsense. He wondered how insane he had to have been to sign this contract. Then he thought about who he had found, and decided the answer was less insane then he had thought.
After that thought, his fingers, which hand been brushing along the various runes, found themselves caught on one, which caused him to stare in surprise. It had a long bladed spear-like appearance, and he reached up, and gently pulled on it. It came free, easily, in his hand, and as he lowered his hand, he suddenly found himself holding a VERY large glaive. He stared at it, stunned by what he was now holding.
The voice spoke again. "Yes, you found me. Good Job. I am Fiachra. I was a Dullahan. I am now your weapon." The weapon flashed, and Dai found himself holding an earring that was shaped like a knife, colored black. "This is my totem form. Put me on, so you do not lose me, and go back to get yourself all set up."
