Ahem. Hi! dittozhan very generously donated a level one Reign kin egg to us and so we're holding a contest: a haiku contest. (Yes, you read that right.) Why? Well, why not? It'll be amusing. Probably. Maybe.
The rules are pretty simple. You can submit one original haiku about Lake Kindred. It can be up to five stanzas but each must follow the usual "5-7-5" syllable rule. It must be your own work. And, last but not least, it must be submitted by midnight on January 14th (mountain time). That's it. LK themed-haiku created by you and submitted in a timely manner. My favorite will win the aforementioned Reign.
All set? Then let's put some quill to parchment. Or, you know, pen to paper or fingers to keyboards. Whatever works for you.

Not my entry, but I managed to make a haiku in the discord chat announcing the contest and I feel really proud of myself. rofl

Not sure how I can top everyone's fantastic haiku tales, but here goes (please read in context of a collection of journal entries written throughout this horrid event):
Dear, dear Diary: It's been many a fortnight I'm out of supplies
'Tis lonely up here Where the Rosepeas smack my face I hope that Reign's near
Mysterious Kin Obstinate and frustrating But cute; it's worth it
Reign. You evade me Summoning your henchmen Kin Are you tsundere?
Event is gone now But here I am still waiting I will come for you

Nope. Can't pick. Taking the easy way out.
Our winner is: Geno Rhapsody. Congrats! Weirdly enough, this was one of the top three that I'd narrowed it down to before giving up. Thanks to everyone for the great entries. I might have to do more odd contests like this in the future. It was a lot of fun to read these. rofl
