Cool, sounds like you read alot! (which is a good thing!)
I am currently reading ready player one. It is a fun book, not too much drama or dark, and a fun plot, even if it is slightly dystopian.
Another book I think you might like the artemis by andy weir (same guy who wrtoe the martian, which got turned into a movie. Apparently artemis will be a movie too) the martian was a bit heavy, artemis is really light
biggrin I want to start writing, but I'm kind of having trouble getting started
sweatdrop xd like... lots of trouble
Yes, I love to read! And I agree completely! It's a great thing to love reading. Especially with how everything's online now, I love being able to have an actual book. My eyes have been weaker though recently, so I may need to read on my tablet so I can make the text size better. ^-^
& I've heard good things about Player One. I may have to give it a looksie~!
One of the best things I can suggest for starting to write is to write stories about what you like and fantasize about. Don't stress on plot building right away, and keep your characters easy enough to handle. One of the biggest mistakes I made was starting a story, writing a crap-ton of things happening, and then losing track of where I wanted that story to go.
VERY IMPORTANT THINGS THAT HELPED ME:
1. Don't listen to the voice inside that says "you can't do this" You can! And NEVER let yourself be talked into thinking your ideas won't be interesting. I don't plan on publishing my personal stories, but they're what keeps me interested in writing. Seeing how far I've come and the better writer I am now because I didn't listen to that nagging voice that said "I couldn't" and "It wouldn't be 'good' enough" makes me happy and have fun with my writing. ^^
2. Find a type of sound that helps you focus. Beethoven Symphonies helped me. So does smooth (lyricless) jazz, "white noise" and other classical pieces. They help me concentrate and focus, and Spotify has some AWESOME focus playlists I follow.
3. I'm told this all the time, but it's a difficult one for me... Especially sometimes when my ADHD kicks in: "Beat the block."
It's not always easy to overcome writer's block, but writing anything can help spark inspiration. I write poems (not very good ones, mind you.) But when I get a rhyme inspiration I try to make something from it. Even if it's a few lines.
Writing imagery, a character having a conversation, or doing a Roleplay... All of those things help me keep my writing sharp.
& Personally, I write about family, friendship, growth, those sorts of things. With a little dash of my own personality with fantasy aspects. I've actually got an Original Character based off of myself who was my first RP character back in the day and the first character I made a story because of. I use her to write out my emotions if I'm down or even if I'm happy. I give her a scene that I'd want to read. Such as if I'm frustrated, have her get into an argument with her mother, aunts, or older sister. (I've always wanted an older sister, so I put one into my stories too... kind of so I could live out that fantasy.)
Even though I never finish my personal stories, I enjoy writing for the fun of it. Just even if it's a described family dinner and some kind of fantasy happens/drama happens in it. Anything you write is practice.
Whatever you do, my biggest advice to you: If you want to be a writer, write stories, poems, whatever you want to write: DON'T GIVE UP! It's a dream you have. And if you let it go and give up on that dream, you'll never know how far it could take you.

I have far more stable mindsets when I get to write during the day. With mood disorder issues, I'm not always feeling healthy... But to write and express through different situations and characters what I feel... It helps me IMMENSELY. I hope you can have your love for writing blossom and be able to put it into your own words.
& I'm here for advice if you would like any.
