did anyone else know that there might not be a second movie!!! i found out through a freind!! joss only got like 39mil nad was supposed to get 45!!! meaning there may not be another!!! crying crying crying well thoughts on the movie?

I don't really think that's true. Try to get some information from Joss's website or something official like that. You friend could have been mistaken.

ok i looked and it was in the official buffy and angel mag, ok not precicely firefly but same guy, there will probably be a movie anyway though, yay

Just to clarify. When Serenity left all cinemas, worldwide, it was 0.5m short of its overall spending. It is expected to make a small-medium sized profit through DVD and Soundtrack sales.
So overall, they made a profit.
And as off today, Serenity has made more $ then what it cost to make.
But since it didn't make much cash, not many companies are lining up to make Serneity 2: Attack of Ghost Wash

There's always been doubt about making more, but it was just a little bit short.
Check on Whedonesque or any major board for real info. Ah, Whedonesque... I somehow got one of those memberships.

Are they for real making another movie! I had heard nothing of this until 5 min ago when I read the first post in this thread. That would be so awesome if they made another movie tho. Even just a TV movie. And yeah, a ghost wash would be funny. although him dying was so sad that I don't know that I support any sort of funniness that might mock him. I'm sure it wouldn't be that bad tho. I mean, Spike came back as a ghost and that turned out pretty well. (and I luuuuuv Spike! biggrin )
