i've never been in a competition but i love playing it. i used to be addicted to it! i'm pretty good too, the beginner is too easy but i like the light but i can never do the heavy or anything harder (i suck at the hard ones..i just stand on every button hoping it will work xDD)

i'm not too fond of the home version cause of the pads cause when u like miss the arrow by 3 inches. ur footing pulls down some slack and the arrow u wanted was hit in the game.nd for the metal version for hom. it's half the thickness of the arcade version. and replacing the arrows for the home version is hard cause u usually see arcade pad arrow replacements online.a nd it's 2 thimes thicker than the home version so when ur dancing. u'll have 4 large arrows protruding from the pad. and evn if u elevate the pad the sensors wont be availible cause it maintian sin the bottom of the pad and the arrows would still be protruding
