So I'm new here and thought I'd show you all a couple of the first real photos I made for portfolio use. Comments and criticism quite welcome.

The first two have interesting elements... the rainbow, and the angle and geometry..
the third shot really doesn't do anything for me. Perhaps in a different light? or a much closer detail section.

I have to agree with rogue_designer. The third lacks purpose, and focus.

Thank you for your comments =)
I do have to agree with you to some extent about the third photo. It doesn't really have a purpose and there is no real purpose.
However, I added the photo on the end because I like the contrast between the blue and the green.

The second one is easily my favorite! o: The sharp lines of the building combined with the tree framing the edge and the gray-blue colors I really like. <3
The first, although pretty subject matter, seems kinda primitive. It seems to me that there's too much space on the ground and not enough up top (the lovely fountain is cut off! D: )
The third would have been better if it was closer up and centered on the white flowers on the top? They're pretty. <3 And they would also provide some nice color play.
Stereo.

I really like the first image, but I have to agree with a couple of others - I think the framing is jsut a little bit off. I'm one of those people who doesn't like anything extra distracting too much from the focal point. I find the fact of so much bottom room, the extraneous piece of a tree on the right and the red building on the left a bit distracting from the main focal point: the pretty rainbow!
The second image is very strong to me as well, the only thing that bugs me a little is the coloring. I would love to see the contrast you were going for in the third one between the building and the sky in the second image. It totally reminds me of something I would take a picture of though. smile Nice work!

I have to agree that I don't generally like the third one. And my only issue with the first one is that we cannot get a sense of how high that fountain is actually going because it's cut off. Otherwise good work!

First pic - Seems like two great pictures put together, but to me it works only if the backround and fountain "pictures" are seperate!!! LOL that's it what I see. sweatdrop
Second - I like that building, but the tree ruins it for me, like there is too much of it or not enough.
Third - Pictures of trees and bushes don't really work out unless you find a focal point with it. The eye doesn't know where to look in pictures like this.
