The lieutenant had been out for a stroll, she sighed as her sister had recently mentioned a run in that well . . . ended with Carrollite being left on read. Apparently she was now to blame for Labradorite's angry mood and it gave the younger sister a headache.
The fact she was the one to blame for the foul mood and not the senshi who caused it left her baffled and exhausted. So she decided perhaps she needed to strike out and see if she could gather some energy for the cause.
That would solve things right? It had to.
There was a pause however, when she felt an order energy signature and there was a sigh. "Oh lord, now I got to deal with a goodie two shoes." She muttered debating on just trying to ignore it and go about her business.

Kemi wasn’t intending to deal with what would happen if she actually ran into anyone on this patrol, and of course, the lack of planning in that tempted fate and of course it meant she ran into trouble after only a few minutes.
She debated, waiting for a moment to see if the owner of the Chaotic aura would come after her, and when nobody did, she made her way over to the aura with a soft sigh.
It wouldn’t have to be a big deal. It wouldn’t have to be any type of a deal if she just walked off…but that wouldn’t be very responsible either so…
A quick chat. A quick use of her magic if there was no sort of urge to change...and then a retreat. It wouldn’t be difficult. Stick to the plan, stick to the facts. Show the enemy their most desired lies. Perfect.
Of course, again, fate was mocking her and when she saw the hair on the Negaverse Agent, she paused and stared. “...How…did you get it to look that way?” The question was filled with surprise, and confusion, and she didn’t even realize that there was no way of knowing what she was even talking about, except for her eyes on the bright hair.

Carrollite noticed the energy signature wasn't going away, in fact it had seemingly decided to follow her. There was a heavy sigh, this was not the way she wanted the night to go, just a quick easy pull of some energy off folks, not enough to knock them unconscious but enough to leave them a little more tired.
And now that wasn't going to happen. When she heard the voice she turned face turning from one of annoyance to straight up confusion when the senshi asked how she got "it" to look that way.
It took a moment and then Carrollitte cautiously ventured, "My . . . hair?" She thought it might be since that's where the senshi seemed to be staring but she wasn't sure and how could someone be so -- stricken by it? She thought she'd seen weirder things in Destiny than her hair.

Kemi nodded. “It’s…is it real? I have seen…hair like this on the internet? But it was…not real…how…did you get it to be like that? The things I saw, and it was only once but they were…plastic, I think?”
She wanted to touch it, to see if it really was really, or if it was the strange things. It had been…an odd video and the strangeness of it was the only reason she had watched the whole thing.
“Is the color always like this?” Kemi’s voice held no judgement, just avid curiosity. She had been here so long already and still…there were things she hadn’t seen before. Things she didn’t understand.
Of course, it wasn’t as though she hadn’t seen stranger things it just.
This girl was human. So…it was odd.

Carrollitte was very confused; ". . . Are you from here?"
She bite her lower lip after asking the question, that was rude and her filter had come off but the fact she thought the senshi was being serious but at the same time found it difficult to believe had made the question blurt out.
"But uh... well it's not all real hair... it's kind of like a wig with...." There was a pause as she flapped her arms trying to figure out how to explain it without making it sound like she thought the senshi completely stupid but -- she was finding it difficult to figure out words.
"Um... yeah it's a essentially a wig that's attached to my own hair I can change it out with different colors depending on what I feel like doing.... it's got some mesh tubing and uh feathers in it."
There was a pause, "I've dyed my own hair the purple, the greens are add ins along with the other bits and bobs. I also sometimes use yarn depending on the look I'm going for?"
The lieutenant seemed conflicted, she was suppose to be stealing energy but this senshi seemed just so enamored she wasn't sure how to handle this.

“I’ve lived on Earth for a few years now, but no. I’m not from here. So your hair…may I touch it? Is that too forward?” Most likely, but Kemi really wanted to.
“So it is like the things I’ve seen on the computer…but yours look to be of a much higher quality? You do this yourself? That…is very interesting! I don’t think…I would want it for my own hair, but it suits you. I like it.” Her tail twitched and she really, really hoped she would get to inspect the hair a little more closely.
“Do you take the extra parts out every day? Or is it…in there for a set amount of time and it just functions as your real hair? You said it was basically a wig but…you can remove wigs, from what I know of them…this looks too…involved to remove easily?”

Well that explained the tail, Carrollitte was still fairly taken aback and not sure what really to do with this one but they were asking to touch her hair?
"S-sure? I mean I guess you can touch it?" The lieutenant tilted her head, "Well I mean I do buy more expensive bits to put into it that are from real hair. It comes already dyed."
She sighed, "Well I've started having it sewn in so it's not always easy to take out." She added with a shrug, "It can be taken out but it's some effort. Depending on the event I'll leave it for as long as it looks good and then change it up once it starts showing wear. Or when I need new colors."
There was a pause, "Also, if you touch my hair -- can I touch your tail?" She figured she'd get something out of this deal if the other was going to ask her a million questions about her hair.

Sewn in? To her scalp? Kemi looked…appaled. “You…but doesn’t that hurt? How…how do you stand to have that happen? Does it not bleed profusely? I’ve always noticed that wounds on the head bleed more than other places…but…you do this often? You have been doing this often?”
Careful, Kemi moved closer and reached out, touching the hair as gently as possible. “Doesn’t it hurt to touch? What if…if someone pulls it, is there danger of your entire scalp coming off since it’s sewn in? How is this not dangerous?”
Kemi’s tail had puffed up the more she was thinking about it. She was worreid for this woman. Worried that she was going to end up dead just to have fantastic hair.
“...near the tip of it, not near the base but yes, you may touch it. My tail, I mean.”

Carrollitte paused, they really didn't know anything. Perhaps she could use this some how but she didn't really have a thought on how to actually make this work at the moment, "Well, it's not -- sewn directly to the scalp -- um it's sewn into the base of my hair."
The questions were, perhaps valid, "Well, probably? Most likely I just lose the hair and then have to buy more." There was a long sigh. "I don 't think it'd scalp me?"
When the other said she could touch the tail but not near the base there was a nod. She reached out a hand and gave the tail a soft stroke. This would be so easy to energy drain but -- she was feeling guilty of this thought at least.
"Ugh, I have a quota of energy to fill and this is not filling that quota at all." She muttered.

Kemi was still in awe of the hair, and even more confused with the woman’s explanations, but…that was fine. She was sure it was fine. “I’m glad that it wouldn't scalp you…why…do you have an energy quota? What do…you do with the energy that you take? What’s the point?”
There was no heat behind the question, just more curiosity. This Negaverse agent was…surprisingly easy to talk to, and Kemi thought she would get true answers from her.
“Don’t…you feel…strange with taking people’s life force? Isn’t that basically what energy is?”
Thinking back to some of the advertisements she had seen on the television. “...Do you think that’s why there are so many energy drinks and pills and things? Because everyone is simply stealing the life from everyone else?”

Carrollite chuckled, "Yeah it's good it won't scalp me. I'd probably not wear it all the time if that was the case."
There was a pause and she looked at Kemi, she wasn't use to this line of questioning at all. "Well... it keeps our space open I think and --- it use to go to some crazy queen but I think it just powers our space now. Um we could use it ourselves too if we had too, but I haven't been that desperate for energy."
There was a pause as she swayed slightly, 'Honestly? I just take a little, I don't drain anyone to the point of passing out. I'd rather drain a little off several people to hit the goal."
There was a chuckle, "It might be part of the reason there's so many energy drinks and stuff, but I think also a lot of people over work and don't get enough sleep. Lets be fair unless you have the means a lot of people work their life away to afford basic things now. It's fairly expensive living here."
There was a pause, "My sister decided to live in her van, which she's got a nice camping van but still, that tells you the cost of living when it's cheaper to live in a van at a camping ground that you can rent."

That all sounded…surprisingly ethical and Kemi found herself nodding in appreciation. “I’m glad that you’re not…being cruel about it. I still…don’t know if I can condone the taking of energy but…donig it in small amounts at least…makes it hurt less people which…I can’t be upset about…”
Again, not that she condoned Chaos in any form but…
But.
“The people of this world are always rushing, I have noticed that…it’s like they’re unable to slow down, either by desire or just by the fear that once they do…they’ll just…stop. It’s…a little sad. But…um. If you live in a van, do you get to go and visit places? It sounds like it would make it easier to see more of the Earth that way. What have you seen that’s neat?”

Carrollitte shrugged softly, "Not all of us are like chaotic chaos. If there was something else I could pull energy off of I probably would but like plant energy and animal energy isn't quite the same it seems."
She nodded, "I don't know why we're all so rushed, maybe because life is short?"
There was a thought, "I mean we've traveled a little ways, not a ton. We probably traveled more when we were younger. A road trip with the family was always something kind of fun."

Kemi fell quiet at that, and she felt her eyes burning slightly, the idea of family, of doing things with family…it.
Maybe. Some people who were infected with Chaos really were just…trapped. They were normal, good people and…they were trapped.
“You have…” Her voice was somewhat thin and Kemi tried to clear her throat, hoping it would help but. It didn't.
“...You have so many options you know. You’re lucky to have family still…I…know my opinion isn’t wanted or needed but…Chaos destroyed my home and my family…I don’t…I can’t stand the idea of it doing it to others…”
This girl, she was kind. She seemed kind, and Kemi…Kemi didn’t know what to do. So, she did what she had been best at before.
She ran. Was it smart? Oh absolutely not. Was it necessary? Again, absolutely not. But.
Still. The idea of having time to spend with a family, and this girl was willingly? Most likely willingly drenched in Chaos…it just…
Hurt. And there was nothing that Kemi could do right now, and she felt utterly useless and tired and.
Lonely. Terribly, horribly lonely.
But. Perhaps that was just what she was meant to be.
