Alastor’s tip about this neighborhood seeming to attract youma had drawn Sailor Tempesti to patrol it more often. While she had seen what might be a larger amount of youma in the area, none of them led her to anything that might resemble a lead on why they found it so appealing. Still, the youma alone were enough to make it a regular part of her patrol. That she’d spent so much time here of late made the realization that this section of the city had so many grotesque decorations that much more of a surprise. She might have been distracted by youma some of the time, but it was downright bizarre that she’d missed so many. Maybe they were Halloween decorations?
Approaching one, she could almost swear that the thing moved.

Storm had picked to go out tonight as it seemed there was something suspicious happening in one of the neighborhoods and wanted to see what it was.
He slowly walked through looking around the area and up towards the roofs. It seemed curious that there were basically gargoyles sitting on rooftops here. It wasn't a normal thing and well maybe it was just because Halloween was coming up they'd decided to decorate with them.
There was a pause when he saw an order senshi. "Aloha~!"
The dark mirror senshi decided to greet the order senshi, "It's strange seeing the Halloween decorations look like gargoyles this year.... isn't it?"
Tempesti sensed the other senshi before she saw him, noting the bracers that marked him as a member of the Dark Mirror Court. She had no idea what purpose they actually served but their presence on the wrists of every other Dark Mirror Senshi she’d encountered thus far, it seemed unlikely that they wouldn’t carry at least some significance. It was a relief that the newcomer didn’t display any overt hostility, and though an outwardly friendly demeanor wasn’t quite enough to get her to abandon all caution, she was in no hurry to start a fight that didn’t need to happen.
“Oh, aloha! Hello!” She’d never been to Hawaii, but she was fairly certain that her greeting was redundant. “I was just thinking the same thing. It almost seems like a theme for this neighborhood. Though…I don’t remember seeing anything like these in the Halloween stores.” She wondered if they were handmade, they certainly seemed unique. Against her general preference for not poking at strangers’ belongings, the senshi reached out to touch one that looked like it might be just within her reach.
A jarring, stony sound send Tempesti back a foot or two, allowing her to just barely dodge the creature as it swooped down at her.

Storm nodded and looked up towards the decorations. "I haven't seen them either. I wonder where they've picked them up from."
He had watched as Tempesti reached out though hadn't expected the creature to strike back and made a startled noise before looking around, "Watch out, I'm going to give us some cover and try to distract them!"
He called out his attack, "Venting Charge!" He really hope the creature didn't like lightning but if nothing else they could use the ash clouds to try and ambush the Gargoyles. "Try not to stand too close to the vents if you can help it, they're pretty staticky."
Venting Charge
When storm calls out his attack this causes vents** to open in the earth much like volcanic vents in a three and a half foot radius around him. From within those vents small particles of ash and dust swell and swirl upwards in flurries causing static electricity that can shock anyone within range of the clouds or inside of the clouds; they reach a maximum height of seven foot, but become less dense the higher up the clouds reach. This is fairly easy to dodge as long as the people caught up in the affected area is aware of their surroundings. This attack can last up to twenty seconds and be used twice but it has a thirty second recharge.
**The vents can be trip hazards. There's no real damage from the vent's themselves; but the static/electric charge is at it's highest levels here.
Tempesti hissed softly as the static sparked across her skin, quickly jumping out of the way as she watched the Dark Mirror Senshi’s magic engulf the strange…thing. “Thank you!” The sound of stone crumbling within the ash brought with it a brief swell of relief accompanied by a sharp reminder that their comrades remained perched on the buildings. Until they weren’t. Mobilized by the threat posed by the two senshi, two of the more adventurous former decorations hurled themselves from their places on opposing rooftops, descending toward their foes.
They didn’t feel like youma but as curious as she was about what they actually were, she wasn’t about to let them hurt any innocent who happened to stumble by. If there were pieces left, maybe she could get a look at them later.
“Bitter Blast!”
The harpies burst forth, bringing with them wind and lightning which battered the closer of the two gargoyles, hopefully bringing it down before it could hit Storm.

Storm was watching it didn't seem to him that his magic bothered them much but provided some cover at least. The dark mirror senshi missed the fact the attack ended up dusting one of the gargoyles. He frowned heavily.
"You're welcome~!" The dark mirror senshio replied when he heard Tempesti say thank you, "I don't think my magic does much to them though at least not that I can tell..."
He made a small 'epp' noise when the two that had formally been on the roof still came after him the harpies giving him a moment to move before the second Gargoyle charged after him. He aimed a punch hoping it actually wasn't stone or he'd expect it to hurt. "Oh what are theseee they're not from the negaverse."
He did connect with the Gargoyle and was shaking his hand because it did feel like stone but it seemed to leave a bit of rock behind which was odd. "Have you ever seen these?" He asked curiously over to the senshi helping him.
“You got the first one!” She called out, hoping her voice cut through the noise of the stone monsters.
As the teenager managed to demolish the final winged menace, she offered him a smile.
“Good work!”
While part of her remained wary in the presence of a Chaos-aligned senshi, his youth still evoked a degree of sympathy in her. He could very easily have been one of her students and a brief flicker of anger rose within her even as she kept her expression carefully neutral. Chaos didn’t care who it drew into its web, even someone inclined to help a stranger was fair game, apparently. “I can't say I've ever seen anything like these before I'm afraid. I’m Sailor Tempesti, by the way. Nice to meet you.”

Storm paused when she said he got the first one and he made an oh noise, "I didn't realize I did!"
There was a small flourish made when she said good job and he grinned, "Thank you, you did a good job too!"
There was a moment before he looked her over concerned, "Are you okay? I realized my magic might've gotten you a bit." He scratched the back of his head with a nervous chuckle, "Oh and your magic is pretty cool!!"
There was a frown when she said she hadn't seen anything like them, "I haven't either, they didn't seem like youma from the negaverse. So I wonder where they came from..."
He perked up though when she introduced herself, "Dark Mirror Sailor Storm" He said and offered a fist, "Its nice to meet you too!!"
Tempesti nodded. “Thank you! I’m alright, just got a little bit zapped but it didn’t last long. How about you? Anything hurt?” It wasn’t too long ago that her own magic had been unstable enough to deliver her a shock or two so she couldn’t exactly hold a bit of accidental friendly fire against the boy.
“They definitely didn’t feel like youma. I’ve seen other weird angry things that aren’t youma around other holidays. None like this, but I fought a horrible ghost chicken monster a bunch of times during the summer. I’m still not sure what that was about, but they weren’t youma.” She shrugged, wishing that she had any kind of explanation for that. “I saw some crazy snowmen last winter too. I think there’s just something weird about the city or something because I don’t hear about this sort of thing happening regularly anyplace else.” Reciprocating his fistbump, she continued, “Have you seen any of the…non-monstery weirdness around here?”

Storm nodded when she assured him she was okay. "I'm good, got my hand a bit trying to punch that last one but -- that's probably because I actually punched the thing."
He chuckled as he seemed to think about the creatures had he met any others? "Ah I don't think I've managed to find any others, which to be fair I unfortunately have been spending a good bit of time dipping between here and Hawaii so I seem to miss a lot of fun."
There was a chuckle and gave a soft shrug, "Maybe I'll get lucky and can stick around longer this time and actually seeing all the craziness the city has. But I mean to be fair everything that happens including powered folk seem pretty weird compared to standard normals."
"Also it sounds like I might be glad I haven't run into this chicken monster... it doesn't sound fun."
“Oh, let me take a look at your hand.” Tempesti summoned a small, golden compact mirror pendant from her subspace. Clicking it open, she turned toward Storm, “It’s not super powerful, but if your hand is hurt this can heal it a bit. I just need to reflect some light onto the wound if you have one.” She tried to catch a glimpse, to see if the gargoyle had done any damage.
“I’ve never been to Hawaii, but the pictures I’ve seen are beautiful. Is that where you’re from?” She laughed slightly at the mention of the chicken monster. “You should be glad you’ve never run into it. Even if it wasn’t mean, I wouldn’t want to stay around the smell longer than I had to.”

Storm looked on curiously as Tempesti asked to look at his hand, and he showed her his hand. His knuckles were scraped, "Ah it's not that bad."
He said softly with a shrug, "I appreciate you offering to heal me though."
There was a smile, "Yeah Hawaii is beautiful, and yeah . . . I am from there." He didn't want to launch into he still had family there, no one really needed to know that.
"Ah, can't be worse than the volcanoes I'm sure. I visited one that had a sulfur pool. That was a rather fragrant smell I'd recommend staying away from."
“Oh, of course! Thank you for jumping in with those things. Sorry that one bit you.” Tempesti wished he would have let her heal him, but she understood why he might be reluctant to let someone from outside of his own faction use magic on him. “I…don’t think I’d like to smell one of those.”
She wasn’t eager to keep the boy longer than needed, appreciative as she was of his backup she was sure that he had other things to attend to. He probably at least had some homework, and she had homework to grade. “I should get going, take care alright.” As she spoke, the senshi felt another swell of resentment toward Chaos for sinking its hooks into someone so young and she couldn’t help but hope that he found a desire to find a way out someday, even if she had no idea how to help him with that.
