There were still so many things about the Earth that had Kemi…not confused, but at least that threw her off kilter. This one, this picking up a beautiful glowing cube…a die, really. And being transported…somewhere. Well. This was utterly and completely new and she wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. This was a very strange, very lonely place, and as Kemi tried the normal things…such as going to her Senshi phone and trying to contact someone…but the phone seemed to be dead. She even went so far as to try to transport herself up to Kemi, something she hadn’t tried to do for…
Well. For far too long…but no. That didn’t seem to work either.
She was good at keeping calm, or at least acting like it. Her face was blank, and finally Kemi looked down at the die she held in her hand, scoffing. Maybe this…was a game. Roll the dice to get moving.
Well. What was the worst that could happen?

Quote: Space 3: A strange fog rolls in once you land here. You lose sight of nearly everything, including the game board. If you want to roll, you’re going to have to get close to the ground to even see where you’re supposed to go next. Hopefully nothing sneaks up behind you. Okay! Rolling the die had worked…something had happened, and Kemi had been able to move forward…the only issue now was the fact that she couldn’t see…well. Anything. But…that was fine, she just had to roll again, in theory. Roll again and then…move forward however many steps she rolled. This was easy. Lonely, creepy, but easy.
Kemi hesitated and then squatted down, rolling the die as lightly as possible then getting as close as she could to see the number. Good! Perfect. It was time to move.

Quote: Space 4: Something smells rotten. You can’t see very far into the darkness, but if you squint closely a dark form seems to be dragging itself along the ground. Sometimes you see a pale hand almost close enough to grab you–or, maybe something does grab you. It’s cold, and frightening, and it’s trying to drag you out of bounds. So she didn’t move far. Just a single step, but it was enough to get out of the strange fog, and for half a moment, Kemi was happy…at least until the smell assaulted her nose. Swiftly, she put a hand up, trying to fend it off by squeezing her nose shut, but…
There was more than just the smell…there was…something out there. Moving? A dead thing moving? It smelled like something dead. Something festering.
Shuddering, Kemi knelt again, wanting to be close enough to both see the die, and to make sure it didn’t roll too far away from her…for some reason, the idea of losing sight of the stupid thing…well. That wasn’t something she even wanted to consider. But...again.
She rolled.

Quote: Space 8: Something slithers across your foot, so fast that you might have thought you imagined it. Except, a few seconds later, it happens again. And then, again. Snakes keep moving across your space. If you move, they see you–and they might bite. Some of them hiss, some are capable of spraying a poisonous liquid that can cause itchiness or burning. There was always the wish for sturdier shoes. Kemi had been thinking about it a lot since coming to Earth…there was so much she wanted to kick here. So much she had kicked…and sturdier shoes meant that when something…uncomfortable moved over one’s feet…it was harder to tell…and the shoes she wore now…well.
It made the snakes all the easier to see…feel and freak out about.
Lightly freak out about.
The thing about kicking was that you could fling the snakes away…for a minute or two, at least long enough to roll the stupid die again and move. Quickly.

Quote: Space 14: The ground is sticky. You land on this and immediately dip, as though you’ve stepped on a trampoline. Close inspection reveals that you are standing on an intricately woven web–and your shoes are stuck. And something is skittering just on the horizon. That had been a nice long walk, and the ground that Kemi stepped on…indented. That…was odd…not really concerning…at least until she tried to take another step and found that she was…well.
Stuck.
Okay…so this wasn’t just something squishy this…was a spider web? That…oh no. There was something large, hulking and round on the horizon and Kemi shuddered, stumbling slightly and grunting as she fell, her arms getting tangled in the web as well. Thankfully though, she was able to roll the die, and hopefully…she would be able to get out of here.

Quote: Space 19: You’re so close! Almost at the end! But the space you’re standing on shifts and shakes and seems to crumble beneath you. You have to hold on; there’s nowhere to fall but down into the deep abyss. If you manage to hang on for long enough, you find some invisible purchase and can pull yourself back up, but it’s quite the ordeal. Make sure you don’t get cut on falling spaces! The ground restores itself once you roll again. Kemi took a breath, trying to calm herself after the spider web. She still felt sticky…everywhere and it wasn’t the best feeling but…her moment of peace was over far more quickly than she wanted it to as the ground beneath her started to fragment and break apart…this.
Well. Maybe this was going to be how she died. In some most likely, Chaos fueled hellscape…
She felt the piece of ground she was standing on give way and reached out to grab and whatever she could, the die in her hand rolling on a stable piece of ground as she did so…and thankfully…that did the trick. Perfect. If you’re about to die…roll the die. Hah. Puns.
Why was the Earth like this?

And, thankfully…that seemed to be it. Kemi drew a long, steadying breath as she passed though whatever veil or portal that she had to, and once again stood in Destiny City, where she should have been this whole time but…
It was fine. She was fine.
Picking up the small, still faintly glowing die, she sighed and slipped it into subspace. Perhaps she would let Arthur take a look at it…and perhaps there was a normal, simple explanation for what had happened…but then again, perhaps not. Still. She had survived and all was well now.
