Quote: Snowy Sneezes: (7) : Small custom shops and stalls always seem to open up this time of year, and Destiny City has no shortage this year. Several seasonal themed shops have already received raving reviews, and among them is a small cafe. Outside it looks like a cute vintage cafe, but inside, the shop has been decorated so convincingly that you feel like you've just stepped into a snowy northern forest. They have an array of delicious, cold drinks, and the trip would be worthwhile for that alone--except, shortly after the first sip, anyone who has ingested the drink will find that they sneeze a flurry of tiny snowflakes. The more drinks consumed, the longer you will find you are sneezing little snowflakes. It feels like there is a tickle up your nose for an hour or longer, depending on player choice; drinking more can also lead to longer effects. There are no negative impacts--just the need to sneeze often, and a little burst of cold snowflakes along with each one. Surprisingly, the shop still doesn't have any bad reviews. Celadonite had gone to the meeting place for three weeks in a row, and there had been no Squire there. This was going to be his last visit, it had to be. It was getting cold again…and he could have sworn he saw a flash of white streaking through the snow. There was no way in Hell he was going to allow himself to get bitten again.
The moment he even laid eyes on a quivering little nose, he was out. Gone. Never to be seen again until the Spring thaw.
He shivered as he sank down under the tree, looking up at the dead looking branches, all covered with a layer of snow or frost or whatever. He didn’t feel like touching them to find out. It wasn’t leaves, at any rate.
With a sigh, Cela drew his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. Maybe. He had reacted too harshly. Maybe he had been too afraid. He should have never agreed to let himself go up there in the first place…he was a fool. And now he had lost his chance all over again.
But that was fine. He wasn’t needed. Maybe he could just go and hibernate until it was all over.

That cold had knocked him the ******** out. To put it in the simplest way possible. But between four different people hovering over him to make sure he needed to get out of the house. He knew they meant well, really he did. But he just needed space right now. Everything was decorated for Chrismas and a whole bunch of little themed novelty shops had popped up. Necro had popped into a little cafe, only long enough to get two drinks. One hot, one cold. He probably looked ridiculous in his Squire outfit, with a hoodie under his jacket, and a bag strung over his shoulder. Why he was doing all this though? He had no idea. Necro had only been bringing things to their meeting sot for a short while, but it felt like second nature now. He knew what would would be at the tree when he got there. Nothing. It was too cold. He knew that. He'd long since knew that. He gone through this for a few winters now. Why would it be any different now. Not that Necro could blame him, or even would. He wouldn't want Cela to freeze. Yet here he, going to their spot as if nothing was wrong. As if things hadn't ended in disaster last time. Necro was so caught up in his thoughts, he hadn't noticed the aura till he was a few feet from the tree, and his gaze fell on the General. Oh."...Hey." The Squire said quietly.

Celadonite had been dozing, the cold making him tired, adding to the overwhelming slowness that always affected him. He jumped slightly at the sound and had to work to force his eyes open, blinking at Necro.
“...You’re here?” It could be a dream. He could have been bitten by one of those demon rabbits. He could be dead, for all he knew but…he was pretty sure that it was the Squire.
“...I figured you had given up…I was going to give up. It’s too cold…” He shivered slightly. “Getting too difficult to stand.” A slow blink. “...Stand the cold, I mean…I’m sure I can stand up. That’s not a problem. My legs work.”

Necro winced slightly. He hadn't meant to scare the other. "Sorry." He said softly. "I'm here." Came the promise as he closed the distance between them. Carefully, he pulled one of the cups from the carrier and passed it off. "I know... Eating or drinking anything is... an issue but, it will keep your hands warm at the very least." He said, setting everything else down before shulking off his jacket and wrapping it around Cela's shoulders. "After... the last time. I ended up getting sick. Like... really sick. I had already been burning the candles at both ends... Juggling me, as a person, setting up that stuff for you, trying to find you before that, everything in my head... When things ended the way it did, I guess it was enough to send me into some severe burn out. I was out for the better part of... what's it been, three weeks?" Necro said, pulling the blanket out of the bag and offering that as well. "I had a few people coming in and out every couple of days to check up on me. Quite honestly I spent most of it sleeping... Anything else is a bit of a blur, I don't really remember a lot of it. Thought of you a few times though." That much he remembered. "I needed to get out of the house. Came here out of habit... I wasn't.. I didn't think you'd be here. Figured this was too cold for you." Necro sighed, drawing his knees to his chest before resting his cheek on one knee. "When are you going to learn that I'm not gonna give up. Not on you." What did he have to do for Cela, to make the other see that. "....How are you holding up? Are you okay? Aside from cold."

“Are you feeling better?” Celadonite’s eyebrows scrunched together slightly as he looked Necro over, eyes flickering up and down, but also out to the side, not wanting to get surprised by any…bunnies.
“Because I’m not…quite sure that coming out in this weather will do anything for your health. We can simply postpone again, now that I know you’ll…be actually coming. I won’t…I mean. I’ll keep trying too. Keep showing up, I mean.”
Again, his eyes traveled around and he swallowed, reaching out for the blanket, burrowing under it, grateful for both it and the jacket. “Thanks.” The drink was held under the blanket, and the residual warmth? Oh yeah. It was good. Really good.
“Why…is there ice in your drink? Are you insane?”

"Better then I was. I don't think I'm entirely over it... I feel like I have a slight chill every now and then but for the most part." Necro shrugged. "Honestly that was the worst of it. I just felt... cold. All the time. The last time I felt like that was... well. You were there for the last time." Gave him an ear full for that too. "If it's to cold, it's to cold. I'm not gonna make you come out in this if you don't want to. I know you don't like it. It's part of the reason I..." He paused before waving a hand. "Well. Ya know. Last time." And that was that. "Come here?" He offered, holding out an arm so Cela could either curl against his side, or on him. "I may not be the usual walking furnace I am but, still probably warm?" Necro glanced at his drink then. "I am.. a lotta things. You should know that by now." The Squire huffed lightly. "It was some silly novelty drink themed after the holidays. I only ordered it to shut them up." Honestly, he'd planned on just giving it to Brooklyn when he got back home but... He could always get her another one. Tentatively he took a sip. "I mean... It's not... horrible. I've had worse." Then he sneezed. Snowflakes. Because of course, it would be snowflakes. Maybe he really was insane. The Squire set the drink down, dropping his head into his hands before he laughed. Of all the ******** things to happen.... Perhaps he should have known better then to get some festive novelty drink at some random a** shop that would only be there for another two weeks, tops. "Please come here." He said in between bursts of laughter. "I think I need a hug. Am I allowed to ask for a hug?" Necro knew Cela wasn't always one for touch but. Maybe if he asked nicely. "I'm sorry." He said, though it sounded more like a sniffle then anything else.

Celadonite stared at Necro, blinking slowly as he sneezed snowflakes. Whatever he was saying absolutely went in one ear and out the other, because that was…
It sure was a thing. “You come here. I’m comfortable where I am, but I would love to have you next to me. Also, that means if any of those awful rabbits come up on that side, they’ll bite you instead of me.” He held out his arm, and gave a little smile. “You’ll be warmer than me no matter what. Cold blooded, as I know you know but…come here. I really missed you. I didn’t…want to not be able to see you for the whole winter again…”
Or. Forever, really. If Necro hadn’t shown today…
He swallowed and nodded to the space under the blanket. “Hurry. My side is getting cold.”

Necro barked out a laugh. Of course Cela would uno reverse him and hit him with the 'No you comere." "Oh my god. Yes, I will save you from the bunnies again. I promise." He said as he moved to take his spot at Cela's side. "I missed you too. A lot." That much was probably obvious. "I'm sorry I had no way to... let you know what was goin on. Honestly, I was a little afraid the Page I'm training was going to try and witch hunt you down." That probably wouldn't have ended well... for anyone. " And um... I'm... sorry. About last time." He sighed quietly, leaning against Cela's side. "Not like we haven't done this before." He said softly. "It's been what, threeish years of this now? We always find our way back to each other once winters over. Though, for what its worth. I've grown to hate the winter too. I am very much a depressive little s**t without you, during the winter." That probably sounded bad but. "As insane as this is going to sound. I think me ordering that drink is kinda funny."

“I’m going to sound horrible…but I am glad it was you who drank it and not me. I’m not sure I could have taken it as well as you have. Might have ended me, to be honest.”
He didn’t really…believe that, maybe but. Celadonite wrapped his arm around Necro’s shoulders. “...why would a Page try to hunt me down? I could literally disembowel a page easily, you know that right?” Honestly, he might have. If someone else showed up? There wasn’t much restraint that Cela had, especially with how things were…it…
“I’m glad nobody else came. I think that would have freaked me out even more, to be honest….I’m sorry for…freaking out. I. It just felt like everything was out of my control. I was ready to go, I was I just…I freaked out.”

"Ooooh. I know. You didn't handle it well the last time." Necro grinned. "Don't you remember? That's quite literally how we met. I was a Page that had no business being one and You were a Lieutenant back then. Pretty sure you sneezed so hard you caught yourself in the nose with your weapon." Necro leaned into the embrace. "Oh I know you could sweetheart. I warned her as much. But she thinks herself my sister. Just being protective and all that. ...Pretty sure I warned her I was not stopping you if she ******** around and found out." Oh boy that probably wasn't a good luck but. Oh well. "Ah... That's not your fault. You had every right to. I did kinda just... spring it on you. Didn't help that I practically grabbed you wrist. I didn't mess up your scales at all did I? I'm sorry if I hurt you." He glanced at the others arm, trying to see if he had infact hurt the other. "... Uhm... Actually... Can I see your wrist for a second? I wanna do something." He said, fiddling with his own wrist for a second. "And before I accidentally send you into a panic. We're not going anywhere. I wanna give you something.

“I’m going to be real with you, I don’t remember, most of my ideas of wintertime are just…those damn rabbits. I swear. I’ll grab a bunch by the ears and make myself a rabbit stew one of these days…”
He nodded slightly at the bits about his sister and gave a little smile. “You deserve to have more people caring about you, you know. I’m happy for that. You didn’t hurt me, no…and um. Here.”
He held out his arm to the Squire, still relaxed, and a little curious. “What are you giving me? I hope it’s not a watch because I’m late with things, I’ll have words with you if that’s the case. I’m never late.”

"Honestly? I didn't expect you to. You wanted nothing to do with winter back then either. You were even less enthused with my dumbass bothering you." Oh how somethings changed... While others didn't "I like who I got around me already. I know you all watch out for me. Even if I'm doing something dumb. But... You deserve that too you know. There are people who care about you." Necro snorted, as he fidgeted with a clasp on his wrist. "No. No watch. You are perfectly on time, like always." Though if Necro ever did give him something like that. he hoped Cela knew he had full send to just deck him upside the head. "What I'm giving you... Is this." He said, once he finally managed the clasp undone and pulled the trichorded criss chross bracelet from his own wrist. "I know you've got my hoodie and I'm assuming your gonna abscond with blanket tonight, which I'm fine with by the way." He said as he carefully put it on the other's wrist. "I know I can't always be with you in person... But this way... You've got a small part of me no matter where you are, or what you're doing. It should hide under your sleeve that no one will question it, and I don't think it will irritate your scales at all. I'm with you, no matter what."

“You’re a sentimental dork, and I hope you know it.” Cela’s voice was quiet and he looked down at the bracelet with a fond expression. “I’m going to grill you for it, but I really do enjoy it, so. Don’t take my words to heart.”
It fit well, and he liked the way it looked. “Thank you, Necro. And yes this blanket is mine, your hoodie is mine, and I’m sorry but there’s no getting them back…maybe when it gets warmer but right now? No, though…I would be up for an equal exchange if you wanted to plan our next meeting?”

"Yes,I know. But I also know, you like my sentimental dorkiness and wouldn't have me any other way." He said with a lop sided smile. Well.. Maybe except for being a little bit safer then he usually was. "You don't have to give them back, even when it's warming. I gave them to you. I have more blankets and hoodies. I'll survive you taking a few here and there when you need em. I can always get more. You don't have to give me anything. Spending time with you is enough. You know that. Like yeah, you having to go for the winter sucks but, again, we always find each other when it gets warmer." He frownded then, giving Cela a look. "Are... you sure? It's cold as hell out. I don't want that to mess you up or anything." ... Maybe they could do something during the day? When it was just a slight bit warmer...

“I think…I’d do better not…I mean. I would rather not…go to sleep. I mean…I just…let’s plan something? When is good for you? I’ll do better having something to look forward to rather than…hibernating. Sometimes…it just feels like it’s harder to wake up. The more I do it, the worse it gets, if that makes any sense at all. But. Yeah. I’m sure. So long as there’s no rabbits, I should be okay. Maybe I’ll invest in like…a heating pad or something. Hand warmers. Whatever.”
If Necro really didn’t want to, that was fine but…he really hoped that wasn’t going to be the case.
