Idri was sitting on the couch with the twins and Noa, relaxing and getting some skin contact time in with Haji laying on his chest. He heard the door close quietly, which was a warning bell in itself. Not that anyone really slammed the door that often, but it was never purposefully shut that quietly. “Ainsley?” he called out. She had taken Alexis with her when she went out earlier, for whatever reason. He didn’t question what that cat did anymore, not since he and Noa had found out he was actually a Mauvian. Besides, he seemed awfully attached to his sister. As long as he was protecting Ainsley, Idri was fine with whatever he did.

Ainsley was trying to sneak back in the house, but she didn’t have much experience considering Idri and Noa pretty much let her do what she wanted as long as she promised to be safe. But she hadn’t closed it carefully enough because Idri heard it. “Yeah, it’s me! Alexis and I just came home,” she said and tried to gauge where he was because if he was in the living room, there was no way she was going to get past him without him seeing her burgeoning black eye from her first fight. Or miss the way she was limping because the jerk had kicked her knee.

Noa was laying down with her head on Idri’s lap, snoozing with Gabi on her chest soft snores coming from her when she heard him call out for Ainsley. Usually Ains was indeed allowed to do whatever she needed considering she was a pretty well-adapted young lady [thanks to her brother]. She peeked an eye open, adjusting her daughter slightly, then she proceeded to go back to sleep. It was strange that she didn't hear Ains come in, but maybe she was in too deep of a sleep to really recognize any sound.

He glanced down at Noa when she moved, running his fingers through her hair while she went back to sleep. “We’re in the living room with the twins,” he said. There wasn’t a clear path to her room except through the living room, so if she was trying to hide something, she was out of luck.

Ainsley sighed silently as Idri confirmed her worst fear. Great. Perfect. He was going to see everything. Welp. It was best to get it over with, she supposed. She tried not to limp visibly as she walked into the living room, but her knee still hurt. A lot. She waved as she entered, trying not to show her already bruising eye. Which unfortunately made her look super awkward. Damn it. She was toast.

“Hold it,” he said, narrowing his eyes on her. “Have you been in a fight?” His voice was incredulous because his sister had never been violent before. Okay, so there was the one time she beat that kid up in middle school, but he tried to touch her inappropriately after she had already told him to stop.

“Come here,” he told her and patted the sofa next to him. “Were you trying to sneak back in the house so I wouldn't notice your black eye and that limp?” Having had plenty of practice hiding such injuries from people at school, he knew what he was looking for. And his sister did not know how to hide it. His gaze found Alexis trying to sneak upstairs, and knew he'd have to find the cat later for a talk.

If this were an anime, the sleep bubble coming out of Noa’s mouth would’ve popped hilariously.

Her eyes flew open even though she looked half asleep, sitting up slowly with her hands on her daughter to support her. “Fight? Where? Idri put the babies in their bassinets…..Gotta go get sword…” she looked around in a daze but that quickly cleared when she saw Ainsley. “Ains what happened?!” Gabi whimpered and she patted her back softly, kissing the top of her head, “Sorry princess…” where was that damned? Her head shot towards the steps, “Alexis…..” She cooed sweetly, “Get your furry a** over here…” The tone in Noa’s voice dared him to disobey, she had no problems kicking his a** while rocking her baby. She knew how to be careful.

Ainsley whined and pouted and dragged her feet, but she flopped onto the sofa which made Haji complain and fidget on her brother's chest. “Sorry, Haji,” she said and brushed a hand over his little tuft of black hair. She tried not to answer his questions but when Noa woke up and started in on poor Alexis, too…

She sighed heavily and flopped backward. “Okay, fine. Yes, I was in a fight,” she admitted with a grumble. If she was lucky, Idri would let her leave it th- Nope. The look in his eyes demanded more information. Ainsley pouted a bit more and crossed her arms over her chest. “This guy and I got into a fight, that's all. He got in a lucky punch.” Mostly because Ainsley had forgotten half of what she had learned in her martial arts classes when was younger, before she had gotten into soccer.

Idri glanced over while his sister talked to see Alexis slinking back toward the sofa thanks to Noa's deceptively sweet voice. He turned back to Ainsley then, frowning at her. “What started the fight?” He knew Ainsley wouldn't fight without a reason, so what had upset her enough to resort to violence? “Come on, spill it. Because you know I'm not going to let this go. You don't fight without a reason.” He paused. “Besides, I need to know who this guy is so I can go punch him.” What kind of man beat up on little girls? Not that Ainsley was that little anymore. Ugh.

Punch?

Nah, Noa wanted to know as well so she could add to her small starseed collection later.

She waited for Alexis to come up on the sofa, glaring at him while Idri talked to Ains. She had an inkling as to WHY she was in a fight, but she needed her to say so, that way she can REALLY get into Alexis’ a** for being irresponsible. Gabbi whined and she rubbed her hand along her back to calm her. Feeding time was going to be upon her soon but she wasn't going to leave till they got the truth. Otherwise she was going to be embarrassed by feeding her children in front of everyone [with a blanket covering of course…She wasn't that shameless].

There was no way she was going to get out of this. But if her brother found out she was a senshi and what that entailed, he was going to go beast mode protective on her. And yet, she had no choice. She heaved a sighing groan as she got up, favoring her injured leg. “Okay. You have to promise not to freak out, okay? I'm not saying anything until you promise.”

“Ainsley, you know damn well I'm not promising that,” Idri said. “Now spill it or you're grounded and I'll find out some other way.” He did have her location on his phone, he could easily find out where she'd been today. Haji fussed and squirmed on his chest, but he made soft shushing sounds and shifted him to the other side.

Ainsley whined but knew he wasn't going to give up. “Fine. Just… Noa, can you please help him to not freak out?” She begged her almost-sister-in-law to help her out with her brother because Noa was the only one who could chill him out. And he was going to freak. She knew it.

Yep….Her inkling was correct.

Sighing, she looked at Idri. “Give me Haji? Feeding time and please do not freak out…” Her grin turned mischievous, “Otherwise I'm going straight to sleep later.” She figured that would be a good enough incentive for her boyfriend to behave himself while his sister told him exactly what what happened tonight.

“You know, I didn't realize you two would gang up against me,” Idri grumbled as he handed his son over to his mother. Then he looked back at Ainsley, properly mollified by Noa's promise (because that wasn't a threat. That was a promise). “Okay, I'm not going to freak out. Tell me.” And he was really hoping it wasn't what he thought it was going to be.

Ainsley relaxed minutely when her brother said he wouldn't freak out. That was likely the best she was going to get. She tugged her henshin pen out of her pocket and transformed into her senshi self. “I'm what's known as a-”

“Senshi.” Her brother cut her off and cursed up a small storm in Spanish. Well, at least she was Chaos, judging by the looks of her uniform and the crack in her chest. He glanced over to Noa and raised an eyebrow as if asking for her permission to tell his sister. When he received her nod, he spoke again. “You're looking at Captain Polarite,” he said pointing at himself, “and General Saleeite.” He pointed to Noa who was currently nursing the twins under a blanket.

Alexis stretched and mrowed lazily. “Finally, I don't have to hide anything from anyone anymore.”

Yeti was dumbstruck. “What?” She looked between Noa and Idri, then to Alexis. Then back around. “WHAT. Okay, yeah, you are not allowed to freak out now that I know about you two. I'm Sailor Yeti, Senshi of Ice Cream, by the way,” she said and crossed her arms over her chest before transforming back into her civilian self. “So the fight was with another senshi.”

Noa was leaning back on the couch while the twins nursed, figuring they would be done pretty soon. Haji was greedy so she needed to make sure he didn't overeat so as soon as Gabbi was done, then he would be too. When Ains transformed into Yeti, Noa sighed, “Ains….You cant transform at home, your power creates a beacon and that means the other side can sense you. We do not want to draw attention to our civilian lives. That wouldn't bode well for anyone.” Her gaze cut to Alexis, “And YOU should've done more to keep her safe Alexi. Don't think Ive forgotten about you….” she rolled her eyes and gave Ains a smile, "So we need to put you into Martial arts then? Cant have you losing fights now~”

Ainsley winced a bit. “Sorry, still new to this. She grumbled and sat back down next to Idri. “Yeah, I guess I better,” she said, then frowned. “You don't seem surprised at all, Noa. Why not?” She tugged Alexis down into her lap and stroked his fur. She didn't care that he was really an alien, he was still her kitty cat. “And don't be mad at Alexis, he told me not to get in a fight by myself,” she said and cuddled him close./color]

Idri was quiet, still processing the fact that his little sister was a senshi.

“Alexis is a mauvian…He follows you everywhere he is allowed. That was the most obvious clue right there.” She worked on adjusting the twins, handing Gabbi to Idri so he could burp her while she burped Haji, “And going out a lot at night.” She might be ditzy sometimes, but she was observant where it counts. “He might have told you not to get into a fight, but he should've done more to stop you if you weren't ready.” Either way, “You're alright, thats what counts. Why don't you go get cleaned up and head to bed while I try to console your brother?”

Ainsley nodded. She should have been more careful, and Noa was right. “Okay,” she said and got up again. She tried to keep Alexis in her arms, but he slipped from her and sat back down on the sofa.

“If I go with you now, Noa will be angrier with me later. Best to get it over with now, ma princesse. Go do as she tells you and I will be along later,” Alexis said and rubbed his head against her leg.

The young teen frowned but nodded. “Alright. I love you all,” she said before heading upstairs.

Idri took Gabbi and situated her on his shoulder so he could burp her. “Love you too, Ains,” he murmured as she went upstairs. Now that Noa had laid out all the clues, Idri should have noticed them, too. Why hadn’t he noticed? He used to notice everything Ainsley did. But Ainsley also used to be the only person in his life. Now he had Noa, and the twins.
