Tama opened the doors to the cafe and bar and let the sunshine — or what counted for it in The City — pour into the building under the small neon sign that flicked to life. The cat on the wooden frame almost smiled back as it becomes with its flame and twin tails. Tonight was the grand opening.

As night fell, the Mauvian got the place ready for guests. He turned on the magical fire, wiped down the obsidian bar and made sure the bottles were stocked. He wore a dress shirt with a black velvet vest and a waist apron where he stored the towel when he was finished. The place shined.

It was almost time to greet guests. Doors opened at midnight and it would open until sunrise for this special one night. The cat grinned in anticipation.

“Welcome to the Hearth!”

The Hearth is a cafe and bar that is located within the City. The building is recognizable from the outside by a neon sign on an aged wood handing board that depicts a two tailed cat holding a flame in its paws. Inside there is a large fire giving the place its name in the center of the room. The fire is magical and can be adjusted to any temperature assuring a pleasant climate for all customers. A bar made of obsidian is near the back where one can order a variety of food and drink. During the day, sweets and pastries are served with coffee and tea. During the night, pub food is served with alcohol. There is a strict two drink per customer limit, but costs are kept reasonable as the shop does not try to make a profit so there are little complaints. Seating is a combination of tables, booths and lounges. There is an upper mezzanine overlooking the bar for a quieter atmosphere and privacy. Hours are 9am-2am daily.

Corrupt Super Ilmari of Chastity

Tama, it seemed, had been busy.

Not that it was difficult for anyone attached to their team to find ways of staying busy, Ilmari thought. They weren’t at a full year of Utter Disarray in the team’s affairs, not yet. But that drew closer and with it came a lot of slack that needed picking up, several little tasks that needed doing for the sake of the team’s wellbeing, and many, many things that someone needed to ensure got done. They couldn’t afford for the team to look messy, especially not where other teams or officers could see them.

That was also Ilmari’s reason for coming out to the opening of Tama’s little café in the Dark Kingdom: people from the team needed to be there for Tama. They needed to present a united front for the other teams, the other General-Sovereigns, the Queen or anyone else who might have been looking.

Being here was more important than what Ilmari did now that he was here, right?

As he wove through the crowd with his cup of tea, Ilmari certainly hoped so. If he wasn’t being evaluated or hyper-scrutinized, then nobody could question why, in the face of the food that Tama had on offer for everyone, Ilmari only went for green tea with nothing to gussy it up. They would see him here, supporting an important member of his team, and having tea still counted as having something, so nobody needed to read into Ilmari not getting anything else. (Ilmari had his reasons. They weren’t anybody’s business. That was all anyone needed to know, period and end of discussion, please, thank you, and so on and so forth.)

That was the sort of thing that people read into, right? Ilmari himself definitely scrutinized people for their choices in situations like this (i.e., any that involved the threat of something shaped like food).

It might have been nice to bring someone with him on purpose, he thought as he tried to find a table where he could set up—but on one hand, everyone from the team was busy. Nobody could deny that, even if somebody took issue with the things that kept them busy. They all had projects they needed to work on, or personal issues that they needed to take care of, and it hadn’t felt right to go to any of them like Hey, will you come to Tama’s café opening with me, I know I could go alone but I don’t want to. Albite, Litharge, Miss Hestia, Vesuvianite, Mizuki, Heliodor, Alkmene, Haymitch and Magnus—yeah, okay, Ilmari knew he was their teammate, but that didn’t mean they stopped having their own affairs to manage.

It might’ve been nice to have someone who’d choose him in the way that Albite kept choosing Faustite.

But—well. In the meantime, Ilmari would settle for finding a table.

Captain Andesine

Several things, in Andesine’s mind, didn’t merit being argued with, even if you didn’t understand them.

Orders from Ashanite, for instance (even though those usually made perfect sense, in the event that he handed down an order more than constructive criticism). Coincidences that benefitted you, for another (as soon as you did a quick-check to verify that there weren’t any hidden strings attached to them). Excuses not to deal with her family or to at least clock out early from putting up with them (which mostly came from the Negaverse, and this was one of the best things that Andesine could conceive of, easily one of the best things that her favorite job had given her).

On the list of these things not to question, “reliable sources of good coffee” ranked pretty highly, in Andesine’s mind.

She didn’t know the Mauvian behind this new café opening in the Dark Kingdom, but that didn’t mean very much. Andesine didn’t know most of the Mauvians in the Negaverse, and she didn’t need to know the Mauvian behind The Hearth in order to trust his coffee. The atmosphere inside felt easygoing as she collected her coffee and a basket of chicken fingers. With Amylthia in tow, Andesine looked around for the best place to sit, a table that wasn’t so out of the way she might end up alone but also not so centrally placed that she’d end up getting jostled by other people as they collected their own orders or looked for their own tables.

Settling on a booth that wasn’t quite in a back corner, Andesine moved quickly so no one else could get there first. Amylthia’s long, scaly, fur-tufted tail swished behind her as she toddled along on her stumpy, Corgi legs. A quick jump helped the little youma into the seat opposite Andesine, her fur shining beneath the lights with a rainbow sheen that looked like an oil spill. Largely uninterested in the other people, even the Corrupt senshi who (being senshi) were more at risk of becoming youma snacks, Amylthia turned her unblinking, reptilian eyes on the chicken fingers. At first, she stared at them with little obvious understanding of what they were, but the concept seemed to click into place when she watched Andesine dip one in a cup of ranch and eat it.

“Hrrrmmmrm, this one bets they’d be better with some starseeds,” Amylthia suggested, then flicked her long tongue over her eyes so they had some extra gleam to them. “Everything goes better with starseeds, yes yes.”

“Just because you eat starseeds doesn’t mean I do,” Andesine pointed out, whipping out her tablet and her ongoing research into the gacha games market. Places like this were good spots to gather intel, but spying on others within the Negaverse wasn’t Andesine’s job until such time as a senior officer told her to do that. The only ones she had to look out for were Nekoite and Thorianite, because they were just Lieutenants and nobody on Ashanite’s team got left behind.

Almost pouting, the little youma put her head on the table and stared up at Andesine. “Amylthia’s still right.”

“Only for Amylthia.” Not that Andesine couldn’t eat starseeds. But those were a precious resource, only to be stolen at all in case no other options remained (or the other options wasted too much time, or some other extenuating circumstances existed to force one’s hand about it) and not to be thrown around lightly. Plus, humans eating them felt like the sort of thing that had a good chance of going very, very wrong. Andesine had read too many trashy fantasy novels as a teenager to think that eating another sapient being’s soul would end well for anybody.

Captain Strengite

She had heard about the bar while filling out paperwork, whoever came up with paperwork needed to be shot, and decided that it was definitely worth checking out. Especially since she didn't particularly want to deal with civilians. Besides, Strengite didn't really explore The City, she tended to stick to the castle and the immediate surroundings. So the woman took this opportunity to do so.

Taking care, because much of the entire City was dilapidated, or at least the parts that were marked as off limits, so Strengite kept an eye on her footing even as she eyed the buildings. It was fascinating really, the barracks were the only place she was at all familiar with in this part of the Negaverse, and even that was exceedingly limited. She wondered just what it would take to make one of the empty buildings her own. Someplace that didn't require rent or would have noisy, and nosy, neighbors. Maybe a club or gym. Something to blow off steam... possibly a rage room? She heard those were a thing.

The pale haired Captain was already thinking of several ideas even as she arrived at the café. Pausing only for a moment to look at the sign, Strengite entered and after a second of looking around, made her way to the bar to see just what they had available. Her expectations weren't terribly high, since it was in the Negaverse, but she was actually pleasantly surprised. With a smile, a true smile, she placed her order and then with a glass of wine in hand she made her way over to a table where she could mingle if anyone wished to join her, or just people watching. It wasn’t something she got to do often so taking the time to just sit and observe was a welcome reprieve.

Captain Faustite

Eles had been mulling over, across a span of weeks, the benefits and drawbacks to showing his face in the Negaverse's stomping grounds for any appreciable length of time. More than simply ducking into Borax's office to turn in some energy and antagonize him into a private spar, or the exceedingly rare visit to look through Faustite of Old's records and keepsakes. But even with all that rumination, mixed with alcohol or otherwise, Eles came to no firm conclusion about how he might be received if he spent time with his fellow agents.

He might find comrades. People who knew and respected him before, people who followed him or trusted his old self's judgment.
He might find rivals. People who saw him as a symbol for the parts of the Negaverse they wanted to change.
He might find friends. People in whom he had confided in the past, who trusted him.

Or he might find that no one knew who the ******** he was, where there wouldn't be an indiscernible shadow of his old self hanging over him the entire time.

Such considered reservations melted away as soon as he learned that he could have alcohol on the job at some cozy new cafe that opened in the Negaverse's territory. At this, he promptly departed for this vaunted new location, even if it meant wandering lost in uniform for a while. Once he found his way, guided helpfully by a sign depicting a cat playing with fire, Faustite shouldered his way in to a vastly different atmosphere from the eldritch space beyond.

It wasn't overly crowded yet. A few officers, a stripper, someone's pet youma. The mood lighting was something weirdly magical, which he suspected Malory would be into if he were there. The bar was a beautiful slab of igneous rock, too — he supposed that, if he was still on fire, that'd be quite welcome.

Feeling out of his element nonetheless, Faustite strode to the back where he could order one of a pitiable limit of two drinks. A little social lube was in everyone's best interest.

Corrupt Super Ilmari of Chastity

Most of the people who’d shown up so far, Ilmari didn’t recognize from a hole in the wall.

Not that he thought less of them for that (or at least he couldn’t really justify doing that). He hadn’t entirely distinguished himself within the Negaverse either. Other people would have gone above and beyond for their teams as he’d been doing lately, turning in as many hearty energy orbs as they could to keep everyone’s numbers up so nobody looked too closely at the team. Outside scrutiny sounded Bad, right now. Messy. Unnecessary, because they’d figure things out soon; they had to.

Then, entered someone who……blended in more now than he ever could’ve done before? But he caught Ilmari’s eye, and couldn’t help doing so. Taller and blonder than he’d been previously, in a new uniform but with a less powerful aura signature, Faustite nevertheless managed to cut an impressive figure for Ilmari. Maybe he was simply remembering the way Faustite had been on first getting to know him, but those memories motivated Ilmari to tail Faustite toward the back of the bar. Demurely crossing his legs, Ilmari took a seat with one barstool between them, in case Faustite didn’t want to be bothered while he had his drinks.

Had they been other people at an actual bar, this might not have felt quite as unnatural. Except that wasn’t where they found themselves, and as Ilmari looked Faustite’s way, part of him felt very tempted to just message Albite and tell him to please come out here, and talk to Faustite, and resolve whatever was going on for everybody’s collective sake. A desire to remain unbothered felt like something so intrinsic to Faustite that whatever had happened to him could never shake it loose. Ilmari would’ve counted as a Botherance, but Albite wouldn’t have, because of reasons, obviously.

“Sir,” Ilmari called to Faustite despite his own apprehension, hands wrapped firmly around his capped to-go cup of tea. Regardless of who showed up or not, keeping an eye out for Faustite was a good idea. The team needed him. “I didn’t expect to see you come out tonight.”

Lieutenant Actinolite

Actinolite was still relatively new to the Negaverse, the Dark Kingdom, and the City, but while exploring Negaspace, he couldn't help but notice the aged wooden board depicting a two-tailed cat holding a flame in its paws. The sight caused the Japanese man to smile, familiar with two-tailed cats due to the tales that surrounded the creatures back in his homeland. t also reminded him of his fiancé, who loved cats, and he wondered vaguely if Tetrataenite might have enjoyed coming to a place like that. Perhaps if he entered, he could find out and, if so, recommend it to the other lieutenant when he got the chance. He did so wonder what sort of food and beverage the City had to offer, after all. Was it any different from Destiny City's fare, or simply more of the same?

When he entered the place, the narrow-eyed agent surveryed his surroundings and got the sense that there was already a unique aspect making up the Hearth's atmosphere. The fire at the center of the establishment seemed to magical in its qualities and Actinolite couldn't help wondering if it ever went out. Wearing the usual, calm smile he tended to wear by default, the lieutenant looked around and took in the place as much as the people.

It appeared that the place had just opened; not just for the day, but for business. It didn't take long for the agent to order a cup of tea, but deciding on a place to seat himself was tricker. There were so many fascinating individuals out and about; none of whom he was familiar with. Not that he expected to be familiar with any given how new he was to the place and the organization.

Occupying a booth somewhat near the back, what appeared to be a captain and a youma of some sort sat and conversed with one another. Actinolite lingered far enough to be just on the edge of politeness, but close enough to happen to overhear some of what they were discussing.

"Eat starseeds?" the lieutenant repeated in a jovial, easygoing fashion, hoping to slip himself into the conversation which he suddenly found very interesting. "Now why would one go and do a thing like that?" He supposed it was some youma thing, but as the agent had yet to converse with a talking youma, he wasn't about to be picky about the conversation topic. "Are they really that tasty?"

Eternal Corrupted Sailor Chara of Chocolate

"Well s**t! This place looks surprisingly snazzy for a building here in this hell hole." Chara didn't exactly come in with his foot kicking in the door and announcing himself, but he did come in with a bit more boisterous of an attitude than most!

He had genuinely been up to literally nothing, so hearing that there was some lil cozy bar and cafe opening up in the City of all places had him curious enough to pull himself out of bed, wash up, and get on going! It was a shame he was here on his own tonight, since his Mauvian Kitten would have been delighted to see this! Who knows what he was up to though, only that there was the joyful sound of him urging Chara out of the room to meet people.

Maybe two or three years ago he would have gone and said "******** that!" and sulk of on his own, but nowadays, that feeling of wanting to be around people kept creeping up his neck. Maybe that was a sign he was finally getting his s**t together.

Not likely.

But atleast today he was nice and cheerful, heading right over to the bar to take a seat and browse the menu. While he *could* be rude, he wasn't about to cut any lines. A sweet chocolate martini was placed in his hand, and he gave it a nice long sip, moderation be damned!

Lieutenant Sylvanite

Getting used to the flow of things as a Negaverse Lieutenant……sure was something.

Part of the issue was that Alyosha had already had enough things with which to keep himself busy before General Vinylite had Awakened him, Vasha, Rory, Malcolm, and Emil into the Negaverse. He’d unwittingly created a difficult task for himself, needing to adjust his schedule to include Negaverse business like patrolling, draining energy, and learning the ropes of how to protect himself and his teammates/bandmates. So many activities that needed balancing, as part of learning all his duties and how best to see them done.

That would’ve been complicated enough even without all the other important tasks that Alyosha set for himself—especially considering how much combat with Order currently seemed to involve losing in order to learn better. In addition to these new duties to the Negaverse, he also had rehearsals with the band, his independent lessons to work on his dancing (which remained firmly a Work In Progress, in Alyosha’s own mind), his fastidious gym routine and practice with his instruments, the time he kept set aside to work on new songs, and needing to hold space for the chance that his family would call from New York and have need of him for something.

(Mostly, that meant texts rather than calls, and Tanya wanting him to beta read some new fanfiction she’d written about some of her favorite K-Pop boys. But that was beside the point.)

Tonight, though, the “learning how to work as part of the Negaverse” activity was something different: making an appearance at the opening of a new place in the Dark Kingdom. Maybe Sylvanite didn’t know much (or anything) about the Mauvian who’d created the café, but showing up for other members of the Negaverse when they accomplished something seemed polite. Like the sort of thing that it behooved at least some members of their little group to do, so they could collectively put their best foot forward with their new colleagues.

To that end, Sylvanite had shown up with Prismatine. It made sense. Aside from them being old friends, Sylvanite was the eldest member of the group and Prismatine was their Center, their Leader, their Ace. If anyone had a duty to make a good impression on the group’s behalf, it was the two of them.

Hearing someone very loud storm into the bar, Sylvanite reflexively wrapped an arm around Prismatine’s back and shoulders. He tugged his dearest friend close. Maybe Sylvanite couldn’t actually put up a fight against someone more powerful than both of them, but the impulse ran deep regardless. Without Prismatine, nothing was worth protecting.

At least the moment passed. As the senshi who’d entered so loudly made their way to the bar, Sylvanite kept Prismatine close and asked “Do you want to find seats and I’ll get the drinks?”

Eternal Hestia

A petite figure silently walked the perimeter of the cafe, pausing from time to time to inspect the decor, the lighting, and the drinks that shone on the tables as they gradually filled up. Sliding a black-gloved finger along a shelf, she briefly inspected it and then moved on.

There was a longer pause when she saw a pair of blondes: Ilmari, with his perpetual aura of someone doing his serious utmost (as he should); and Faustite, who was perhaps readying himself to forge deeper bonds with his team. It was truly a heartening sight to behold so early in the evening, and she found herself hopeful that more such would broaden and stretch across the evening's hours.

Eventually, Hestia made her way to the night's host and cafe's mastermind. With a small bow, hands clasped before her, she greeted, "A superb beginning, Mister Tama. You've given the city a warm and shining heart."

Captain Brassite

Sipping a nice tall glass of sweet tea with a straw, Brassite did her absolute most to look like a Minor Who Wasn't Going to Cause Problems. She hadn't even tried to use a fake ID, which was probably for the best since the Negaverse wasn't really about having IDs anyway. The honor system went hand in hand with the creepy surveillance system, and was pretty effective in her opinion. Miss Metallia was a super powerful being of questionable morals, who loved rocks and hated underage drinking. As far as bosses went, she was pretty hands off, and her intermediary wasn't into micro management or unreasonable demands, so the least Brassite could do was abstain from committing negasins of on their turf.

It was pretty much the same deal as the Encore and Biolumina, right? Still, she knew this particular Mauvian could be well...particular! And so she was extra good, just to keep from getting kicked out before she'd gotten her fill of listening in on gossip and judging people. Bringing up a file on her tablet, she began idly tapping in some entries.

Edie - still a super? super slow maybe. schmoozing up to Fauxstite

Captain Build-a-Babe - is there a word for the youma version of cat lady? newbie asking questions but i bet he wants her to buy into his mlm

Captain Foxtrot - aspirational hottie as per usual /salute

Eternal Senshi of Haunted Dolls - i bet he's cursed to always end up talking loud when there's a random lull in a room's noise

Tall Blonde Newb and Short Blonde Newb - weird vibes. or?????? princess and bodyguard roleplay? maybe? but maybe they're gross and annoying? let's check back later

Lieutenant Forsterite

Forsterite didn't know much about corrupted senshi except to be wary of them. She didn't think most trusted them - not the Negaverse and not other senshi. Probably not even other corrupted senshi with how volatile she heard they could be. Stories of temperamental and even mad corrupt senshi had reached the lieutenant's ears, so even though she hadn't really gotten to know one in person, she was wary of them.

When a new place to dine and meet new people opened up in the city, however - The Hearth - Forsterite reluctantly decided to go. After so many years staying a civilian without powering up, she hadn't been satisfied with how little work she had gotten done as a lieutenant; especially since she had made her return as Forsterite. As a result, she was more eager than ever to prove herself. And part of that meant, much to her dismay, socializing.

Forsterite had never been very good at socializing regardless of whether she had been a civilian or not. She wasn't sure what to say to any of the strangers she saw once she entered The Hearth, making her uncertain of who to approach. It was only when a loud-mouthed corrupt senshi made himself known that the lieutenant decided to target him as a potential conversation partner. She couldn't do small talk, but maybe he would answer some of her questions regarding corrupt senshi; or perhaps even just senshi in general.

"Um...hello," she greeted, going over to sit beside him as she ordered some hot, black coffee. "Lieutenant Forsterite. You're a corrupted senshi, are you not? What's your name and sphere?" She had a good guess based on not only the eternal's outfit and scent, but by the drink he had chosen. Still, it was nice to get confirmation, especially when gathering factual information.

Captain Cryptomelane (and Ympe, personal youma)

Ympe paid better attention to gossip around Negaspace than Cryptomelane did.

Not that this was terribly difficult, since Cryptomelane didn’t pay attention to most, if any, gossip. Other people in the Negaverse handled the more social aspects of their work. They were better at those things and Cryptomelane respected it. Personally, he was better at fighting with Order head-on when they made it necessary (as they so often did), working in the lab with Industria, and stealing starseeds, and he very much enjoyed staying in his lane. Preparing to defend his dissertation gave him extra incentive to do that: he needed to optimize his powered-up time, since he only had so much of it available to him, at the moment.

Under most circumstances, he wouldn’t have really considered a trip to The Hearth, even for its opening night, as “optimizing his powered-up time,” but……Ympe really wanted to go. Whatever he’d heard about the place had sparked some urge to go and be where more people were, and—well. Regardless of why Ympe wanted that (the presence of shiny objects that he could try to take seemed like an extremely plausible explanation), Cryptomelane didn’t really have enough friends to go denying a simple pleasure to the youma who was, easily and without question, one of the best of them.

So, they and Industria showed up to The Hearth together on opening night, with Ympe perched on Cryptomelane’s shoulder, the way he liked. Getting drinks and finding a table didn’t take that much time or effort. Several seemed to have come out tonight, yet the Mauvian who’d put The Hearth together had provided a generous amount of space and seating arrangements—good show of foresight on his part, which meant he had to be a respectable asset to the Negaverse.

Things only turned for the unexpected when Cryptomelane sat down, and Ympe hopped off his shoulder, only narrowly avoiding Cryptomelane’s drink.

“What are you doing,” the Captain asked flatly, blinking down at his companion in a way that didn’t look too entirely dissimilar from Ympe’s own way of blinking up at people, like the way that humans and their dogs started to somewhat resemble each other.

“Brassy’s over there.” With a broad grin, Ympe pointed over at the bar. Indeed, Brassite was sitting there, but since she’d seemed absorbed in her tablet—and, he assumed, in some kind of work, very possibly from her General—Cryptomelane had left her to it. Ympe, on the other hand, tapped his little fingers together. “Gonna go say ‘hi.’”

“Alright, you can go talk to her a bit,” Cryptomelane conceded without a fuss. Going to see someone both of them liked was, on the scale of Ympe Activities, genuinely one of the better options, least likely to cause any trouble. “But don’t get in trouble, and if she’s working, come right back, okay?”

“‘kay, Melly, Tria.”

As Ympe gave them a little wave and hopped off the table, Cryptomelane turned more fully toward Industria. “You know, I had my doubts? But this seems like quite a nice little place.”

Noir Songbird
Industria!

Given Melly’s permission to go visit with a friend, Ympe scuttled back over to the bar as quickly as his legs could manage. Plenty of the humans in here seemed like they’d have Good Shinies for Ympe to take. And he wanted very badly to get his hands on those treasures. If anyone dropped anything, Ympe was ready to grab it.

But he’d also told Melly he wouldn’t get in trouble. So for now, Ympe kept his hands to himself.

Cackling delightedly, he rocked up to one of the barstools beside Brassite, and her tablet, and her bright orange hair. “Brassy! Brassy, hey!”

Probably, Ympe thought, it’d be more comfortable for both of them if he were actually on the barstool. Climbing up involved a bit of scrambling and fruitlessly kicking at nothing. But he got there eventually, pulling himself up so that, while still considerably shorter than Brassite, he wasn’t quite so close to the floor.

“……Hi, Brassy,” he said, giving her a wide, toothy grin. “How’s it goes?”

Tama watched as people started to fill his little space and he purred with satisfaction.

He poured a hot green tea for Ilmari. He was glad to see a member of the team.

Andesine was given a coffee and a basket of chicken fingers, easy fixings for the kitchen. He did wonder if he should have something specifically for the youma. Whatever youma usually ate, that is, the Mauvian wasn’t sure.

For Strengite, a classic wine. Tama gave the glass a swirl before handing it over.

Tama noted Faustite’s aura immediately. He bit his lip, unsure after their last meeting.

He served a tea to Actinolite.

A chocolate martini, heavy on the Bailey’s, was handed to the loud senshi Chara.

He noted Sylvanite, Brassite and Forserite.

Cryptomelane got a drink and Tama noted yet another youma. He really needed to build a starseed menu.

“Thank you, Hestia! Can I get you a drink menu?”

Lieutenant Prismatine

Networking was important.

Vasha knew this, in his bones. And even though Mother had returned to New York City, her bout of illness caused by the crystal she'd used to Awaken five people consecutively mostly ended and her work needing her attention again, he could vividly picture what she would have said if she were present to give him suggestions.

"Go, Vasha. You are in a new place, you must make sure that new people know you."

And, anyway, he'd been to these sorts of events a million times, either as an up and coming talent himself or just as Aglaya Voronin's Son Who She Is So Proud Of. Doing it as Prismatine was doing it in a new costume, but fundamentally, it was a venue opening with a specific clientele.

But he was arriving with Sylvanite.

For people who had not heard the man they were with act like their relationship was doomed to go the Fleetwood Mac way, this sort of thing might even qualify as a date. Unfortunately, Vasha had heard Alyosha say that kind of thing too many times to put any stock in anything else.

Even Sylvanite automatically moving to block him from whoever was practically crashing their way in (eugh, so much volume and drama) was probably just because they were good friends and Sylvanite wanted to look out for him. The fact that Prismatine could gladly have stayed pressed up against him forever was Prismatine's problem, no one else's.

And yet he was reluctant to move. Still, there was only so long he could linger before it became just a little too much.

"I can do that. Not too big a place, I'm sure you'll be able to find me." And if they were lucky, it would just be the two of them. It wasn't a date, but a boy could pretend a little, under the right circumstances.
