Azalea had to admit, all this senshi stuff was kind of confusing. First of all, he had no clue how any of it really worked. Second of all, he was mostly throwing shots in the dark to get his powers to work, and third of all, Azalea didn't even really want to be a Sailor. He was plenty busy enough with all his work at the library, and was probably going to work himself into a tizzy trying to balance the dangerous tightrope walk that was the maintenance of Ye Bochord with fighting cosmic evil.
It just sounded... Well. Incredibly taxing, in Azalea's mind, and for very little pay-off. He couldn't even function his powers correctly! How was he actually going to help anyone if he couldn't even defend himself?
Was it possible to be chosen wrong? Did he end up with these powers by accident? Could he give them back? Was there a return hub for them? These were all questions he probably should have asked, to be honest, and he was regretting not doing so.
"Come onnnnn," he grumbled to himself, rolling his eyes as he aimed his wand around wildly, like it was a sword, "this has to work somehow
Or maybe it didn't and he's was just a failure. Also possible.
"Intrusive thought," he chastised himself, but at least there was no-one around to watch him fail?

Kerberos suppsoed that one could never know how long someone had been a Senshi, that anyone at any level of experience could fumble, but...looking at the man in front of him, he felt fairly certain this was someone new. Otherwise, why would he be waving his henshin pen about like it might do something?
And, sure, maybe it wasn't necessarily his job to help out new Senshi, but it was one of those things he couldn't turn away from.
"So I don't want to make assumptions," he said, as he ambled a bit closer, "but, uh, if you're trying to treat that like a magic wand, it's not gonna work. The fancy pens are for transformation only."
Probably a Mauvian should have told him, but not every Mauvian was on the ball. Certainly enough Senshi sort of got turned loose without sufficient guidance.
"Hi," he added, to be polite. "I'm Kerberos. You look a little lost?"

Azalea jerked at the sudden voice, immediately dropping his hands to his sides in an effort to maintain an air of casualty that he didn't entirely feel.
"Well, ah---I kinda ran away from my magical spirit guide," he admitted, staring at his wa---
---At his pen with a small frown, and shaking his head. "He seemed like a nice guy for a cat, so I should probably find him. And my... Friend."
Admittedly, he wasn't really sure what he was doing, but he had been doing a pretty decent job of guessing so far, at the very least. It wasn't all bad.
"I'm ah... Azalea. I'm like---mostly unlost, but a little lost, if you feel me? How are you?"
Maybe that was a bad question. But the person did not have the creepy aura of some of the others he'd met, and he was slowly adjusting to the... Everything. Slowly. Harshly.

'Oh, poor kid,' Kerberos thought. The inexperience really shined, and part of him was glad that he didn't remember being nearly so awkward.
Of course, his early memories of being a Senshi were unpleasant for other reasons, but....that was a long time ago.
"Ah, that'd do it," he said. "But getting dumped into a while magical situation is a lot." Or, he imagined it was, probably moreso for the people that Awakened on this side, with only a cat and whoever you could find, lacking the guidance of a charming General-King with a fondness for tea.
"I'm no Mauvian--that's the fancy, official name for our cat guides--but I've been around for a while," an understatement--ten years of his life which felt like all of it, "so I might be able to point you in the right direction? Nice to meet you, by the way."
