The Channels

This was not where you were last. Perhaps you were patrolling. Perhaps sleeping (How responsible). Perhaps you were doing something, anything. But not this.

What you first notice is the smell in the air. The chill of the seaside regardless of season, the biting salt and sea air, the scent of fish and ocean and clean air mizing into the perfume of the sea side. You could wake anywhere. Upon the ancient wood of a great sailing ship, be it frigate or ghalleon or something else. Perhaps you wake inside a building papered in strange charts in a language you can't hope to understand. Regardless, this... Is not Earth.

Slowly, yoiu join the others on a surprisingly stable pier - it looks like it was once a marketplace, with goods and spoices, but now nothing remains but abandoned stalls of unknowable goods. It might even be picked over -- llikely, Almadel or someone like him - but regardless of what happenedm, all faces gather here, as if led by some unseen force. Archiutechtural guidance. All about is stone and sstructures, a city built into the island you find yourself on. and as you talk, something quickly becomes unsettlkingly, uncomfortably clear....

There is no breeze. No wind.

The air feels dead.

Then the rest falls into place. There's octopus motifs all over, iundicating some ancient culture was here. Definitely a homeworld. The dead air offers some clue. And then... You hear it.

Fiitsteps. Heels cliocking on worn stone and muiimbling before she appears. Long blonde hair, Ordeer, in pinks and purples - is that a tentacle skirt? Are those pearls? And then the senshi looks up, blinking at the assembled ctrowd in surprise, brown eyes widening as she looked the crowd over. Syurprised.

Slightly shy, nervous, before squaring up.

"Ohhh... Oooooohhhhh." The Senshi p[auses. "Oh holy hells... Okay. Hi. I'm Limosa." She blinks, looking around, then at a map in hand. "I guess you're all here to help. Er. Wether anyone asked opr not. Sorry. I - sorry." Limosa seems embarressed. Homeworlds can be mysterious... At least she's hospitable.

"So.... Yeah. I'm Limosa. And I guess IO need help down below the city."

Quick Rules

1. Official updates occur oince a day from Limosa herself! Might be late at night/early, early AM but I will try to get in the posts daily. Gaia be Gaia and timing be timing - I'm a little on the noctournalk side, so posts might run a biut oddly.

2. You may make 2 posts a day, per character. One MUST include the daily dice roll, the other can be a reaction or just talking to the others. Mostly, I want everyone to feel accomodated.

3. No deleting posts. If you forget a rull, consider it as a 'null' roll, and absolutely nothing happened. However, please use the dice next time.

4. You run on live HP, meaning you CAN be knocked out if you're unlucky!

5. No stage swapping whatsoever. That means if your character just grew, you CAN NOT use this RP for the upograde from any cats to get more HP! You can RP at the stage you have art for. This also LOCKS any players whom unlocked a stage 4 character. Your character must arrive in Stage 4 form to recieve the bennies opf stsge 4! Otherwise you are locked at stage 3..

6. I'm not a total Godking of Misery. EVERYONE regardless of stage or faction gets 1 free 'Revive' from Limosa and 1 free 'Small Heal' of 20 HP as well. Just drop a quote qith the character using it. I want challenge, not something impossible!

7. Assuming RNG likes you/isn't drinking again, any trinkets found are NON-=MAGICAL and mostly flavor. You're allowed to keep Mementos! Even if it's in the form of some alien marimo or something.

8. You are ENCOURAGED to use magic this event! So... Ignore use caps. Consider it my way of helping. This means healing magic if your senshi has it especially. Please don't make me cry and regret this. XD

9. You CAN interact with Limosa untiul the second half begins! She's the one leading the way, and it's her homeworld. Also, she's sorry her homeworld is being a paiun in the everl;oving butt.

Helpful Stat Guide

This is the HP you have, by stage!

Stage 2: 80HP Attack: D8

Limosa didn't speak much. Not.... Not yet. She wasn't unattentive. She qwaarung her hands, slowly producing a mapo of the capital. The written language was exotic, alien, calligraphy, on a brown and worn parchment, vut even as everyone approached, Limosa felt uncertain. She blinked slowly, taking everyone in. She spied one familiar face and the sheer alarm momentarily on her face told her this was... Likely her world itself either that ditressed by her inabiulity to solve the mystery at hand, or emotional support. OIr both.

A breif nod spying La Brea before she spoke, unfurling her map.

"I... I was ah. Actually about to go down under this island." Limosa began. "You see... Uhm... You see the only clue I have to what's wrong on my homeworld is... Is well, that my homeworld hasn't seemed to have a wind system and I think based on images in the city here that the problem is artificial and thre only area I haven't explored is uhm. Down below." L:imosa paused, faltering. She wasn't used to so many people or being in charge of... Anything! But she was trying, bless her heart, she wanted to try. And if they were here... They could help. She knew that.

"Based on my maps it looks like there's something down there. If not a clue, maybe an answrer. OH! My name is Limosa. Hi. S-sorry, I'm not... Used to so many people." She laughed nervously.

"At least, noit... Not Powered or OIrder."

But one delicate hand beckined with a warmth and sureness of one accustomed to their homeworld's intricacies, and Limosa began to lead the others down, down stairs, into a chamber deep below. And it was here others could see what her map revealed.

Masonry gave way top an almost organic cavern, channels, built with nature. Water ran in the distance and the site seemed... Unusually dry but promiosed more to come...

Day 1

Roll that D4! The corresponding number is the event your character faces today!

1. You step on a switch and something in the wall grinds as if freeing something... But nothing happens. It seems like whatever was meant to happen since withered away... How sad.

2. You find a small sea shell. Pretty!

3. You step on a switch and barely dodge a dart! This place is trapped! the dart does 1 damage grazing your skin.

4. You step on a switch and with a clicjk you see some small ctabs rush you! Aw,m they look cute!... Until they begin to pinch you aggressively. You defeat them with a single blow or use of magic, but you take 3 damage. Ow! little jerks...

La Brea - 70/70 HP
Consider La Brea a demo OTL and feel free to interact with him as just a regular character.

La Brea had awakened on...

A wooden sailing ship. It looked mercantile, honestly. Quite on the old side, the ship creaking as the page crossed it.

So.

This was his daughtyer's homeworld. Fasciunating. He was fairly sure the boys were being watched by... Lex to La Brea's annoyance, but this... Was unplanned. He wasn't angry. He observed the others emerging until Limosa spoke, and then... He began toi follow as the descent began, rose spinning in his fingers in thought.

Tea hadn't expected to end up on a strange homeworld, but here she was. She'd been on out on patrol when she was jerked away. Having landed on a dock she looked around curiously to see where she was, it seemed very nautical.

She made her way where others had gathered and found Limosa speaking about needing help, and that she was about to go underground to try and solve an issue with wind.

Well if it was a good old fashion mystery she was interested in seeing how this played out. Hopefully they could fix the issue nice and easy. Tea also hadn't expected to see a little sea shell that caught her eye but she couldn't help but to pick up and keep it as a trinket. Maybe she could make something with it later?

Sailor Clara

Event
2. You find a small sea shell. Pretty!

Sailor Clara was barely managing to keep from having a panic attack. He had never left Earth before - at least as far as he knew - but he was certain that wherever he had been brought just then, it was most certainly not on the planet Earth. No sooner had he powered up to go on patrol that day than he had found himself in this peculiar place surrounded by several other members of the order faction. He could tell because of their energy signatures.

After waiting and listening a bit with the others, he soon came to understand that the place they had been brought without prior warning was the homeworld of one of the other White Moon Senshi. She apparently hadn't meant to bring them there either, so their sudden summoning there might have had something to do with her homeworld itself. Could it have, perhaps, been calling for help, in a way? It seemed like the sooner they helped the Sailor Limosa figure out exactly what happened to the wind on her homeworld and managed to restore it, the sooner they could all return to Earth. This certainly hadn't been on Clara's list of things to do that day, but he supposed he didn't mind helping out a bit. Perhaps it would give him the opportunity to meet and network with other order faction members like himself. He knew so few as it was.

Following Limosa down some stairs into a chamber with a cavern and channels, Clara tried his best to stick close to the others. He couldn't help but get side-tracked by a particularly pretty shell, however, and perhaps against his better judgement, he picked it up and decided to keep it. It seemed pretty harmless and if it wasn't, he was certain he would find out fairly soon or Limosa would tell them. Besides, it wasn't every day one got a chance to leave Earth; especially not for the first time. The shell would be a nice memento to remember the trip.

Sailor Bacchus hadn’t been doing anything in particular, at least nothing anyone else needed to know about, when he felt the pull outward. It was ******** weird. It would always be ******** weird. ******** it. He let the force carry him toward…wherever. Couldn’t be worse than the absolute ******** that happened on Dagon.

Ugh. It may not feel as bad as Dagon did, but it still felt wrong. His mind itched at the stillness of the place and he wondered if it was a mistake to come here. Couldn’t be worse than back there.

“Ah, s**t.”

The senshi braced himself for whatever followed that unwelcome click and the even less desirable grinding sound. Of course he’d managed to trigger whatever waited around this uncomfortable place. Something like relief meandered up his spine and under his skin as he realized that nothing was swinging out to stab him, no abysses opened beneath him. No giant boulders rolled from some unseen place. He was almost disappointed, the presence of some physical danger might have offered some reassurance that nothing was going to be crawling around in his head.

“Hey, how’s it going?”

The deep space senshi waved in the direction of the stranger. s**t. They should really send out invitations beforehand for this sort of thing. At least that would give him time to acquire a host gift.

"If I get grounded," the teen Page grumbled as he pulled himself up from off the ground, dusting off his uniform and righting his glasses that were only slightly askew and a bit lower on the bridge of his nose than he normally liked. It set his view of the strange surroundings right, and the irritation gave way to his wonder of yet another alien place. If not for someone starting to speak, he might have wandered off to who knows where, his curiosity nearly getting the better of him as usual. Granted his previous experience on alien planets...hadn't all been the greatest, if he were being honest, but that hadn't taken away from the general cool factor of finding himself on an alien planet.

In any cases, he focused on the speaker and soon followed along to where they were all being led. He'd barely taken three steps to start exploring the new place when he felt his foot give way ever so slightly.

He both heard and felt a dart whiz right atop his ear, grazing the sensitive skin there and drawing hissing sound from the teen. A hand shot up to the fresh injury, and he felt something warm and slick under his fingers. On inspection, he saw a bit of blood on his fingers, and he frowned slightly.

"Did they not want anyone to find whatever it is we're looking for?" he asked out loud, though to no one in particular.

Sailor Haik
Current HP: 79

3. You step on a switch and barely dodge a dart! This place is trapped! the dart does 1 damage grazing your skin.

Haik sat cross-legged where he landed, brows furrowed together as he looked up and around, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. The last thing he remembered was getting ready to head home after a relatively uneventful patrol, and then...this. Here. A homeworld, apparently, and the senshi got to his feet when the senshi it belonged to began to speak and explain. He followed wordlessly, though after the listening to them speak he looked less tense and in fact had a bit more of a pep in his step. Explanations were always nice and appreciated; he was always happy to help a fellow senshi, after all!

He walked with the rest of the group, through broke away for a moment as they descended into what looked like a natural cavern. A whooshing sound caught his attention just as he stepped forward, and he quirked a brow at a rather young looking...knight? Comment about perhaps their presence not being wanted. He was about to respond when he felt something under his foot.

He glanced down, brow still quirked, when he heard another whooshing sound, and actually felt something sharp graze his arm.

Like the young knight, he also gave a quiet hiss and lifted his arm to inspect the thin line of blood on it.

"He might be on to something," said the senshi as he lowered his arm and started scanning the ground for any signs of more steps or switches.

4. You step on a switch and with a clicjk you see some small ctabs rush you! Aw,m they look cute!... Until they begin to pinch you aggressively. You defeat them with a single blow or use of magic, but you take 3 damage. Ow! little jerks.

Her patrol had been coming to an end when everything had shifted, and Ekstrom found herself somewhere completely unfamiliar. Thankfully it didn't take long at all for her to realize that she wasn't alone, so she was able to stay the panic that could most certainly have caught her up. She scanned the slowly growing crowd. Familiar faces, but also not. She really had to do better about getting out and meeting more people...

Obviously now wasn't the greatest time to try and act on that thought, so she tucked it away and moved toward the senshi that began to address them. She gave a small smile as an explanation was offered for why they had all been so suddenly called up. That it didn't occur to her to reach out to someone to let them know that why she might be late was a curious thought that came and went, and she rolled it around in the back of her mind as she followed Limosa's lead down into the beginnings of an underground channel of some kind? She took it almost in passing, until she started hearing those around her reacting to traps they were each apparently setting off.

She had stepped on a switch too, she realized a smidge too late, and apparently called to herself a bunch of cute little crabs. She didn't mind the pinching all that much, they were that cute, but she did brush off the ones that got to her shoulder. Using a sweeping motion of her foot she did her best to dispel them, and they eventually went.

"Well," she started to say as she looked at the slight damage they had wreaked on her uniform. "They were cute so I'll call that worth it."

And with that, she turned to look at Limosa, listening intently for anything she might need for them to do.

Eteral Sailor Alastor - 87 HP

Alastor hadn't been on a real patrol--mostly just a quick run around Destiny City--so this wasn't truly a disruption to his plans. However, arriving anywhere without proper preparation warranted concern. He first checked his senshi phone, which seemed to have decent connectivity, so the worst case scenario still seemed like he could get home.

He sent a message to Lucien, who probably had better connectivity to his messages given...wherever he was, and could relay to Sessrumnir faster than he could get a message to him.

The first order of business was finding out where he was, and who he was with, and there were enough energy signatures that he didn't feel any great need to worry.

It didn't take long to find out he was on Limosa, a world he knew nothing of, but he was immediately interested--or just generally wary--of the sheer amount of water. It wasn't until the group had convened a bit more that he recognized Ephesus--but no Amarynthos--and wrapped an arm around his shoulder in a quick half-hug.

"Ephesus," he greeted, pleasant despite heading into a cavern, "Did you write to your father? I texted Lucien, so he'll get the message one way or another." He pulled his phone out again, thinking it best that someone know they were together before the worry set in. "I think I'll leave out the part about heading underground, though. Your father will worry," he hummed, as if there wasn't any good reason for it.

At some point, an army of little crabs decided to be very interested in Alastor, who noticed them, but didn't think much of them until he saw one on his sleeve, and another on his boot. One looked like it was trying to crawl onto Ephesus' shoulder, so he plucked it off. It was angrier than anticipated, snapping at him and scuttling across his palm, but Alastor didn't seem to mind its aggression too much. It was never pleasant to be pinched, but Alastor was too impressed with its energetic assault. What a brave little fighter! Alastor was easily a hundred times its size, and yet it showed no sign of fear despite how easily he could have crushed it between his fingers.

Briefly, he wondered if Limosan crabs had a unique flavor worth sampling, but the creature was morsel size at best, and wasn't enough of a threat for him to subject Ephesus to its demise. He set it back on the ground and kept walking.

Soleiyu (Humanoid Mauvian) - 77 HP

Soleiyu rarely shifted out of his cat form, finding that simply more comfortable to exist in, but he made a split second decision while in Destiny City that--

Well, he wasn't sure if it saved or condemned him. The fur on the back of his neck stood up, and expecting the worst he'd changed from cat to man, and--

Disappeared.

Well, if you could call it that, because he was always where he was, it was the world around him that changed.

Senshi magic, of course, was boundless and--sometimes--unpredictable. Even to a Mauvian.

At first he was soured by the fact that he'd arrived alone and unprompted, but very quickly did he realize there were other people, some of whom he recognized. Including Limosa, thankfully. He recognized her easily but he didn't know if she would do the same. He wasn't in his usual, perfect, long-haired cat form. Although, his tail was as marvelous now as always, and he looked just as regal.

She had something important going on, and he didn't want to distract her. Too much.

Limosa seemed shy, anxious--but who wouldn't be, with a bunch of people randomly appearing on your world.

While descending with the others, he gathered his tail in one arm and held it to his chest, messaging her Senshi phone: 'You're doing a great job.'

Of course, in the process of that, he stepped on something that clicked. At first, nothing seemed to happen--and then small crabs rushed at him, nipping and pinching. His tail was gathered up, so mostly safe, but without shoes he was particularly vulnerable to their assault. With an indignant huff, he tried to outrun them, hurrying along.

If he'd been in his cat form, he could have just jumped up on someone's shoulders, but noooo.

Ephesus, Knight of the Moon — 90 HP

Ephesus had been on his way to meet Amarynthos. One moment, he'd known where he was going. But the next, the setting was unfamiliar and there was salt in the air. He paused only for a moment before reaching into subspace to pull out one of the small slips of paper he kept for emergencies. A circle had already been drawn on it, and Amarynthos would know the meaning.

He was safe, but somewhere unknown. He would update as soon as he could.

He pressed his signet ring into the page and sent it off as he let out the breath he'd been holding, hoping it would reach Amarynthos quickly.

Only then did he really look around.

The place was beautiful in a strange, lonely way. The salty air, the worn stone, signs of a once much loved world that saw too much time and loneliness. But the air felt too quiet. Too empty for him to feel at ease.

When he saw Alastor, he immediately eased with relief.

"Alastor—" he said softly, and then he was hurrying over, wrapping his arms around him in a quick, warm hug without any hesitation. He pulled back after a moment, a little pink in the face but smiling softly.

"I just sent a message to Mary. I might try to contact him again in a little while, when I know he's safe to respond. He knows I'm safe."

He stayed close after that, listening carefully as Limosa explained. She seemed nervous, and Ephesus offered her a small, reassuring smile.

"It's okay," he said quietly. "We'll help."

As they moved deeper into the cavern, he noticed Gimle and lifted a hand in a small wave, and did the same for anyone else who looked unsettled. He didn't know everyone well, or at all for many, but he hated seeing people look alone in places like this.

When the darts struck Gimle and some of the other Senshi and Knights, Ephesus winced and looked immediately worried. "Oh— please be careful," he said softly, his fingers itching to pull out his scepter so he could heal them but… no, he needed to conserve his magic, just in case.

With his eyes on the ground to be more cautious about his steps, he spotted a small shell near the path and carefully picked it up once he was sure the ground around it was safe. He turned it over in his hand, smiling to himself. It was pretty. Amarynthos might like it. Or maybe one of their other friends.

Looking up, he held it a little closer to his chest. "Limosa? Is it okay if I keep this? Only if it's not important."

Then came the crabs.

Ephesus brightened at once, some of the tension leaving his shoulders. "Oh," he gasped, soft and fond, watching one try very bravely to climb where it pleased. "They're cute."

When Alastor plucked one off before it could make itself comfortable on Ephesus and set it back down unharmed, Ephesus's expression warmed.

"Thank you," he smiled. Shell still in hand and cape falling softly behind him, Ephesus stayed close. He made sure to stay attentive as he looked between the others and the strange world around them. It was frightening a little, but also sad in a way he couldn't yet explain.

But at least Limosa wasn't alone.
