Takes place at night on March 24th, 2026
Kissling wandered around, patrolling the streets at night with his mirrorwraith while collecting energy.
The Senshi of Tengu is out on his own tonight. He was loose. Relaxed, even, walking through the streets watching for trouble. It's a good break from his schoolwork and the coffee shop, or, well...the house. Susanoo inhaled slowly as he looked about and paused, sensing...he's unsure what. Trouble? Not... trouble? He was never sure, but he paused to look, curious. Duvhre mentioned sometimes chaos wasn't dangerous, so...
Sailor Kissling looked up to see a senshi with a Japanese-looking outfit and blinked, surprised. Then he beamed and waved before hurrying over to him. "Hello!" he greeted. "Are you a White Moon Senshi? What are you the senshi of? Your outfit is cool!!"
Susanoo turned, surprised to see a senshi in black approaching, but when they greeted him positively, he smiled warmly. OK. Maybe his cousin was right. "Hello," Susanoo greeted politely. "I am, and - thank you! I'm actually kind of pleased with it myself. I'm Susanoo, and you?" he introduced, taking care to try pronouncing his name properly, like Oumuamua taught him. With a lot of nagging.
"Nice to meet you, Susanoo! I'm Kissling!" The 5'4" senshi walked around Susanoo, admiring him from all angles. "Does it get hot in the summer? I've only got shorts, so it gets cold for me!"
Leiko might have had Japanese blood, but that didn't make him knowledgeable about Japanese gods like the Japanese storm and sea god, so unfortunately he didn't recognize the name. That didn't mean he didn't admire it just the same, however.
"See, that? That makes sense." Susanoo admitted. The taller man chuckled a warm chuckle, but his smile was genuine and sympathetic. "If I'm honest, I just might not get cold easily." Nor might Duibhe get cold easily...Susanoo noted it for later. "A friend of mine has layers now. She gers warm easily. Senshi of Beer, Oumuamua. She's nice. Little high strung at times. White Moom, if you see her." Susanoo seemed to notice a trend in his group. A friend to oine usually got mentioned to others, and Dubhe always suggested looking out for people. It made sense. ... Support networks mattered, especiually in conflict.
"Oh. Is she your girlfriend?" Kissling asked with a grin. "Must be nice to have one. Oumooma...moomoo? Ohmoo-ah..." he struggled to pronounce.
"Oumuamua? No. She's more like a sister." Susanoo admitted, sighing. He wasn't angry. He was... Well thinking of the fact she called him an idiot sandwich still. "You'd likely like her. And I think it's Oh-moio-uh miii-uh. I think..." Susanoo admitted, unsure.
"Oh. Then...is someone else your girlfriend? Or...boyfriend?" Leiko asked curiously. Shamelessly, too, it seemed.
Susanoo blinked, head tilting in surprise. "Ah... Me? No. Not really," he admitted, surprised. Of all the questions he could be asked... This was not a question he expected.
Kissling laughed. "Would you want one?" Rocking back and forth on his heels, the somewhat baby-faced senshi beamed up at Susanoo with his hands clasped behind his back. "I guess that might be tricky though, huh? Since you're White Moon and I'm Dark Mirror. That's a shame."
Susanoo blinked. ...Well. That was fast. He tilted his head, actually considering it and motioned. "Perhaps. We could get to know one another first, of course. As senshi." He knew Dubhe had a crush on a corrupot senshi once. "And I mean. My cousin said she's heard of people changing their affiliation. But neither of us would know...how it's done. But only if one wanted, and honestly, it also depended on how things went." Susanoo was honest, but not rejecting him. Not in the least. He was...smiling.
Kissling blinked rapidly, extraordinarily surprised, before blushing and laughing again. "Are you serious? Well, okay. That could be a fun game," he said teasingly. "Who gets the other to change sides first."
Susanoo laughed, good naturedly, a warm look on his face. "We'd want to see! My cousin is Sailor Dubhe... She's never corrupted or anything but she had a crush on a corrupt one. I know powering makes it harder, but...communication matters. And - I want to finish my education." He intended to offer therapy to all factions. To offer therapy for the doubtless numerous senshi, knights, agents - even Vanguardioans whom might have trauma from the war. That meant his doctorate. "I want to help people."
Kissling listened, looking in awe. "A crush on a corrupt senshi? Did it go anywhere?" he asked with interest. "Communication? Is that what your education is in? How are you going to use it to help people? As a civilian?"
"Well... She said she disappeared before she could tell her." Susanoo looked gbenuinely sad. Dibhe went through... A lot. He was glad her homeworld was giving her a focus. Glad she made friends with Subra. Not only had her heart been broken, but she'd lost her father to the war and... Susanoo felt... Horrid about it. He looked somber. "....Psychology, actually." Susanoo grinned. That said plenty.
Unfortunately, one word wasn't really enough for Kissling. "Psychology how? Are you going to use manipulation tactics to get Negaverse agents to do your bidding? Or brainwash youma to follow your commands? Or get corrupt senshi to see the error of their ways? Or do you just mean as a civilian?"
"Well, before she could tell her. We had a lot happening at the time." Susanoo admitted. "And... Manipulate?" Susanoo blinked. ... He could understand why Kiussling asked, but it never occured to him. At the same time?... Susanoo actually couldn't see himself doing it. Maybe to his brother but Zayne.... His brother was... Quite... Something. He knew twins ran in the family but he also wondered if wanting to throttle your twin did. "Actually... I want to offer therapy. I imagine people see a lot that's hard to process in this whole conflict - things people are struggling to cope with. I want to help people process without feeling judged." Susanoo explained. Dubhe could hewal with magic. He could use his degree.
"But you haven't said if you mean only as a civilian or nooooot~" Kissling complained, not having gotten that part of his question answered despite having asked it twice. Well, maybe the other senshi didn't really want to say. "Can you use your senshi magic with therapy? What can you do?"
"Hmn? My magic? Not really. It's... I just summon a tengu to protect myself or others a minute or two." Susanoo admitted. "Therapy wopuldn't incluide magic, if I'm honest."
"Huh?" Kissling tilted his head. Despite being Japanese, he unfortunately wasn't all that well-read. "What's a tengu? Will you show me?"
"Ah, I can do that." Susanoo said. He considered a moment before taking a step, chuckling before flicking a bead at Kissling's feet. The small tengu appeared instantly, looking about like a long-noised, territorial little guardian.
Kissling gasped and took a step back, curiously leaning over to regard the strange creature. He was pretty sure he had seen statues and masks of the things before. "Ohhh...so that's what it is," the Dark Mirror Senshi commented. "It's kind of cute! And that thing can protect you?"
"Me or whomever I decide. I usually defend others for demonstrations. So right now he'll attack if I attack you." Susanoo nodded calmly.
"So it attacks?" the shorter senshi asked, scratching his head. "I thought you said it protects."
"He does. OR she. It does. What it does is it attacks if someone attacks what they're guarding," he explained.
"Ohhhh. That's cool," Kissling commented, smiling at it. Then he blew it a kiss - his own senshi magic - and wondered if the kiss would have had the same effect on the tengu as it did on others usually. Not that he meant to find out because he would have had to prompt it to attack it to test it. Still, it was funny to think about. "Thanks for showing me, Susanoo."
The tengu vanished, and Susanoo chuckled. "No problem. I don't mind sharing," he said kindly, grinning.
