A little tipsy, but nothing too awful, Libethenite was out and about to collect energy. They had decided that this was honestly the best way to go about the boring task, but that was also partly because they hadn't had to fight anyone yet, though they'd been warned about it plenty of times.
He rather hoped not to have to fight at all because all he was currently armed with was the ability to summon an ice-pop, and not even a frozen one. Unless he convinced someone to try and suck the juice out of it, he wasn't about to do them any harm with it.
He whistled as he walked, thumbs tucked into his belt and 'pockets' full of little spheres of energy he'd taken from some late-night revelers, already drunk and now more so on wearyness.
He couldn't have gone forever without running into someone on 'the other side'; he knew that. He just had hoped it was going to be a quiet night when he 'felt' the presence of someone on the other side. He shuddered at the eerie feeling of it and called out.
"Alright, come out and state your intent or something like that!"

Sailor Bacchus wandered through the dark with a slight stumbling gait, proud of the practiced skill that kept his rebellious feet from escaping their designated place beneath him despite their best efforts. Focus on this endeavor occupied enough of his mind to draw out several embarrassing seconds before he recognized that the approach of a Chaos energy signature wasn’t just the familiar background noise that had dominated the previous thousand years of his life.
Always interrupting, always prancing in to claim more of his time for themselves. Time, energy, his and countless others. He wondered how many starseeds his unseen foe had plucked from the Great Cycle before scoffing at his vulnerability to the ancient lies that still found their way unbidden into his mind. There were always those elements that brought his guard down when it came to that nonsense, especially when the things that usually granted him some quiet chose to betray the promises they’d made. Whichever of those countless mantras that made their way into his head couldn’t make much of a difference against the presence of one of these endlessly dull bootlickers. Letting an affected swagger carry him, Bacchus stepped into the agent’s line of sight with the slightly imperious smirk he reserved for these people.
"And I don't make it a habit to forewarn planet-invading scum that I'm about to smack them in the face with an ice pop. Yet here we are."
He hesitated a moment, feeling the power of the other, right after making the 'so-called' threat of the limp ice pop he possessed as a weapon. The only thing really dangerous seeming about it was that he couldn't tear the damn thing open no matter what he used or how hard he tried. He might be in over his head.
"Are those horns??" He asked instead of following the more rational path of self-preservation. "Seriously? What are you, Sailor Bambi? Well...evil Bambi, you got some freaky eyes to boot."

Bacchus let out a bark of laughter at the unfamiliar agent’s attempts at an insult, the hypocritical audacity of referring to someone here as the result of Chaos’ hunger as an invader. “I don’t know what a Bambi is but I’ve seen what you people enjoy, so it’s likely an absolute delight by comparison. Dashing, rakishly charming, captivating eyes?” A laugh remained in his voice as he spoke, “Far better than the company your lot keeps.”
Bacchus was only vaguely familiar with the concept of an “ice pop,” but what he knew hardly qualified as intimidating, and how it drooped dejectedly from the stranger’s hand only confirmed this theory.
“Looking a bit floppy there, hm?” He gestured at the unfortunate blue object, “You uh, you need a few minutes alone?” An unpleasant grin crossed his face as he goaded the stranger.
"Dead mother, absent father, friends with a skunk called Flower, which, while objectively cute, sounds like something y'all would do."
He wagged the ice pop back and forth and grinned. "Nah... it's just looking at you made it all soggy. I'm not even sure the little blue pills would help with you around."
"They do say it's what you do with it, but there aren't enough paper bags for that."

Bacchus was unclear about what about the agent’s statement was intended to be an insult. “Well yes, my mother’s been dead for a thousand years, thank you for your condolences.” He didn’t let the grin slip from his face as he spoke, he wasn’t about to give the p***k that satisfaction. “As for a friendship with a skunk, I wouldn’t say no necessarily. They’re the ones who aren’t terribly interested in having a social life.” He omitted the fact that previous attempts to test this had ended poorly.
“Proximity to heat can have that effect, though you haven’t given me the impression that you could do much even under the most favorable circumstances. But until you can manage something more…useful…I’ve got something that can lift your spirits.” With a dramatic flourish he shouted, “DIZZYING MIRTH!”
Sailor Bacchus raises his arms, emitting a shining mist from between them and a raucous melody floats through the air. Enemies engulfed in the mist find themselves compelled to join in the revelry, overwhelmed with a sense of giddiness, disorientation, and a powerful urge to dance to the music. This pushes aside other thoughts and makes it very difficult to engage in combat. Through force of will, they may be able to shake the feeling and resume combat.
"Awwww, you calling me hot? Cause I know it's not you." Cooed Liebthenite, which was a lie, for an order weirdo; they were pretty hot.
"I could see you were horny, but hey....HEY NOW None of your freaky Ma-Aaaahhh....woooo. Oh man. Oh hell yeah..."
This was so much better than being sucked into a moment of re-living some of his family 'traditions'. This was a party.
"Oh man, I take it back, party the ******** on!" He started jamming out to the perceived music.
"If you could cast this planet wide, we'd have world peace!"

Any counter Bacchus might have had to the agent’s comment vanished into the music with his inhibitions while he reached for the other, anger evaporating with the golden mist. Making contact with his shoulders, the senshi pulled him into a whirling dance.
Maybe peace could be nice, for now at least. In the moment it didn’t feel entirely implausible that he could charm whatever blob of Chaos this fellow answered to, or at least a few of its servants. He laughed as he spun the stranger, a distant part of him knew that this joy was stolen but there was little he could do to bring himself to hide from its inevitable end.
Liebthenite laughed too, putting his hands on one shoulder and one hip, and spun with the senshi. Forbidden, he was sure of it, but the moment of revelry was too good, too glorious and too perfect not to share.
As the effect began to fade, he backed away, letting his hands drop to his sides again.
"Ok.... I figure for the good of the dance I can uh, like, let you off easy." He said, turning red and rubbing the back of his head, which just made his outrageous mess of red hair somehow more boisterous.
"J... Just this once," he added like he had any authority to scold or intimidate.

Bacchus sputtered slightly into a laugh as he let go, torn between amusement and disgust at his failure to retain any sort of blind rage. It wasn’t easy for fury to remain when facing someone armed with a…flopsicle. He knew it was intended to be a weapon but the man was unarmed. Chaos, it seemed, had little interest in protecting the less experienced of its agents. As far as he knew they weren’t even capable of pulling starseeds at this point. Kicking the s**t out of this guy could wait until then.
“That’s a generous way to phrase it,” he chuckled. “Couldn’t hurt.”
