This is a PRP between Deinos and Venus for the July rp games

Deinos slowly plodded down the narrow path along the flowerbeds. He could almost feel leaves dancing over his hide as he shimmied past blooming bushes and stalks. It was bad enough he already felt like he had ants in his fur with what he was about to tell Venus. It wasn't often he had uplifting news from his herd. Now, all he could do was try and go over names of plants he passed as he waited for his friend to arrive to their agreed upon meeting place. Venus was the first one who he thought of to share the news with and he was extatic to hear what proudness may lay in her voice today.
He turned a corner and continued down that path, making sure no plant was in any danger while he was here. He may not be allowed to touch the plants or the watering systems his herd members had created, but he could inform the garden caretakers and have them see to any pesky bug intruders or yellowing spots. For now, he would try to enjoy the time he had to sniff flowers as he waited.

The sounds of fluttering wings could be heard from the meadows that is next to the forest. Litten had told her that she was to meet the venusaur at one of their favorite places. Venus couldn't help but smile at the pokemon. She'd told Litten to stay home so Deinos didn't get so nervous. She knew it was something important if she had to meet him somewhere. She finds the special path, using her nose to take in the scents all around her. "Oh.. He is here alright.. My favorite scent, his flower scent is strong." She'd whispered to herself.
She trots down the path, ducking under some of the branches. Some pain erupts due to the branches hitting her butterfly/moth wings. She sighed, making mental note to alert Deinos about the branches. She perks up at the sight of one of the yellow daisies that had sprouted. "Oh! That is new." She tilts her head to see if it was the correct path to the spot. "Huh! Nope.. this isn't the path." She muttered to herself, realizing she had stepped onto the wrong path. She went right back to the correct path, finding the curve that usually is around a big tree. "Deinos!" She chirps, scooting under a big branch. She grunted a bit. "This forest really got dense.. I like that.. I think." She glanced towards her beatened wings and sighed.

Deinos had his face smooshed inside of a lily as he took a deep breath. All at once he heard a loud snapping sound of a stepped on twig, and all of his vines lifting in unison to look in the direction of the sound. Deinos barely had time to make sure he wasn't tilted at an odd angle that may have him trampling over plants as his vines dragged him backwards towards Venus. He could only stay mad at them for a second before his glee in seeing Venus made him forget his exasperation at almost damaging the garden.
"Venus! You made it!" He was finally able to turn around and see her for himself. Worry staining his features as he noticed her wince. Without thinking he fell to his knees so he was face level with her, worry creasing his forehead as he nuzzled his muzzle against her cheek. "Are you okay?" His head lifted to peer in the direction she had come. It had been careless of him to invite her here and not make sure there was a path her small frame could safely and comfortably travel down. He had been so focused on his future He hadn't stopped to remember his present. Venus always had a way of bringing him back to the moment he was in and he was thankful for her. "I'm sorry I forgot to make you a path, Venus." A small dimple in one of his cheeks gave him his patented grin. "I'm hoping my news will make up for any harm you've taken on."

Venus did a hard shake of her body to get rid of any branches and leaves once she arrived at their special spot. Another pained wince appeared on her face. "I'll be okay. My wings are in slight pain but do not fret. We can work together to get the path a bit more safer for me to walk on.. but not to where it can be seen by others." She sighed at the sight of the vines then at him nuzzling her. She always felt much more at ease when when she is around her best friends. She gives him a lick on the cheek. "You are always so caring and sweet towards me. It is okay for you to forget things sometimes. The vines will remind you of that.. "
She giggled at his dimpled grin. "Silly Venusaur... Vines, taking over his walking again, eh?" She boops one of them before perking up at the sounds of his words. "News? What news?" Her wings flickered happily. "Oh.. Litten is staying back at home. So you don't have to be worried or scared today." She looked into his eyes, chirping happily.

One of Deinos' vines couldn't help themselves at her attempt to scold them and buried its maw in her hair behind her ear. Unfortunately leaving a slight trail of drool as it rebelled by giving her a slight tickle. Deinos, appaled by his vines brazenness, tried to play it cool by standing and walking towards the garden he wanted to show her. That also just happened to currently put her out of reach of the vines.
Dainos' face practically radiated light at he grinned back to Venus and beckoned for her to join him. He waited at the start of one of the garden rows and looked back to her so he could blurt out the news. "Mama may have finally found a use for me!" The light slightly dimmed as his eyes swept over the large garden, remembering all the times his size and not knowing how to control his strength had created issues for him. He had never wanted to damage the garden. Chaos had never been something he aimed for. If he had been any other Soquili he might have wondered if his size would have still been an issue if a herd consisting of members his own size had found him. But that wasn't how his mind worked. His herd was his family, no matter what they looked like or how much he annoyed them.
Again light filled his eyes as the corners crinkled, landing once again on Venus. "Mama has tasked me with being the memory keeper of the Herd! And to test out if I can succeed, she's been teaching me all the different flowers and their meaning!" Deinos was seconds away from leaping for joy at this point. The only thing keeping his large footpads on the ground was the whisper in the back of his mind that something precious to him was bound to get squished if he did.

Venus watched the vines closely til she felt one of them in her mane. "You boys.. Really?" She couldn't help but giggle at the brazenness. She rolls her eyes, not minding the drool at all. Her eyes widened at the way Deinos had just played that off. A deep blush appears on her cheek while she walked besides him. Her head presses against his leg. "Deinos.. You know I don't mind the boys doing that.. right?" She looked up at him with sparkles in her eyes. "They can do that whenever they desire. They are family to me just like you are to me."
She gasped at the sight of the garden rows. It wasn't just one row.. but more than one. "Oh, my.... Deinos? Did you do this?" She squealed while asking him. "It is beautiful.. wait... what do you mean an use for you?" She arched her brow. 'Oh sweetie..." She listened to his every word. "A Memory Keeper?! That is amazing!"
She glanced towards the garden then at him. "If? Honey.. You will succeed. I just know you and the boys. I would love for you to help me learn what flowers are what." She grins, murring happily at him.

Deinos' blush matched her own as Venus leaned against Deinos. He tried to turn his head to avoid her seeing the bulk of it as he mumbled "They should let you have your space and not crowd you." He tried to cough the slight embarrassment out and mostly succeeded by the time he turned around to give his proclamation.
A throaty laugh sounded from his throat when she asked if the garden was only his doing. "Oh, no, this is my herds garden. The only reason I'm allowed to be here is because these aren't the main food plants." A soft smile replaced his glowing grin as his eyes roamed over the areas his childhood self had made previous mistakes. Mistakes that luckily didn't harm their main food source. He now had a chance to prove his adopted mother correct by not letting the others abandon him for his many faults.
Venus's voice brought him back to the present as she wondered what a memory keeper entailed. "Mama's known since I was a kid that I've never really been good at controlling my strength... or the vines." His voice pausing to eye them out of the corner of his eyes before continuing. "She said I just need to focus on non-physical things. Shes so smart" Taking a breath before continuing, he started to walk down one of the many rows laiden with buds. "She said if I manage to remember everything she teaches me about flowers and their meanings she might start teaching me our herd ledgends a d stuff!" He side stepped to make room to pause at a bush and start to name flowers at Venus.
"These right here?" His head gently leaning into a freshly opened bud, lingering in its sweet smell. "This tree is a lilac tree. They are related to olives! But as a flower, the pink ones are good for first love." He gently removed himself from the plot to point out a new plant. "And these? These are one of the hardest to grow, they need constant babying. Though these orchids seem to love living on these rocks. But these white ones?" He turned to smile at her "Perfect for the purest of dreams." He hurried on to a new row, abundant with numerous hyacinth plants.
"Look look. These yellow Hyacinth are perfect for steadfast and everlasting friendship! Perfect for rounding out a bouquet for the perfect friend" he smiled and chuckled as he gently bumped his shin against her shoulder. His vines nodding as they grouped all around him. All but one singular vine that reached out and pulled a full Hyacinth plant out of the ground. Upon hearing falling dirt, Deinos whipped his head around and almost chocked as he tried to gasp and scream at the same time. "No! They'll kill me! Putitbackputitbackputitback" Deinos started to whimper slightly as he dropped to the ground to nuzzle his nose in the plant he was convinced was now dead.

Venus glanced towards him while walking with him a bit. "Deinos..." She nudges her nose again him. "No need to hide that cute blush from me. I like seeing that.." She perked up at the laugh coming out of him, feeling a bit of pride comint out of her own little body.
She glanced at the garden. "It is amazing! I love how each of the flowers look. The trees around it look so strong but delicate at the same time. Like you." She moved to each of the flowers that he was talking about, sniffing it. The scents gave her memories of her own herd. She glanced towards him. "It sounds like you have a very smart mama! The lilac is have several uses as well... Each of flowers have some uses for a variety of things!"
She felt her cheeks deepened at what each flower means. "I love how each flower represent something for everyone." That is when she noticed the hyacinth plant, trotting up to it. She narrowed her eyes at the vine. "Oy! Hey now.. Boys!" She shakes her head before turning to Deinos. "Sweetie.. Hey.."
She moves to get on her hind legs to get press her front hooves on his chest. "Deinos.. Shhh.. It is okay. It is okay.. You can either replant or simply grab a branch of it and put in a small pot til the roots start spreading. It can be saved.." She presses her head against hi. "Like you.. Remember the day we met?" She then moves towards the vines. "Sweetie.. put it down on the ground. I'll show you and help you. You are my dream that came true, Deinos.. Both you and the vines."

Venus's words cleaved through his panic as his body was still limp with guilt on the ground, nose tip still pressed against the small buds. He was able to lift his head as her words sunk in, reminding him to use the breathing techniques Venus had tought him in the past. That's right, he wasn't the small useless child he once thought he had been. He had knowledge in his mind now. Knowledge that loved ones had taken the time to teach him.
With his vision now cleared of ghosts passed he nuzzled his floral nose against hers. "Thank you venus." "Will...Will you help me? I'm worried I'll hurt it." His face fell for a moment before he was able to lift his face and give her a soft smile. "Maybe when we finish this I can show you the Forget-Me-Nots." A gentle blush coloring his cheeks again.

Venus murrs softly while staying by him. She knew the past often haunt him as well as well as hurting him. "There we go.. It'll be okay." She whispered towards him as she watched him gathering himself once again.
"My dear venusaur.. I will help you with anything you need, you know this. This plant is not difficult to replant. I will help you and show you how to plant several from one plant like this." She nodded softly. "I would love to know all about the forget me nots! The vines will learn over time how to settle down if they know what's good for them." She says with a wink. "Come on! I bet we can make a cute sign for each of the flowers..."
