Hey everyone. I was wondering if there were any gamers around here. If so...
What system(s) do you own? Favorite console? Favorite game genre? Favorite game(s)?
and the burning question... To love DDR, or not to love DDR? <333
And you can add anything else I forgot to ask...^^;;
Rawr. Enjoy. heart

I guess I should go first.
I currently own a PS2 and an old N64. I'm so attached to that old system...I couldn't give it up. I found it in my basement about a month ago, and now can't stop playing. xD
Favorite console - Hmm. I'd have to say PS2. I played Xbox for a while, but I'm not too fond of the game choices(the only thing I really love is Halo and Halo 2), and Gamecube's controller is just too damn confusing to figure out. @_@
Favorite genre - RPG, survival/horror, action/adventure, and sometimes fighting games and FPS. I'm a bit of an eclectic gamer...but the only things I really don't like are sports and racing games. Yeuch.
Favorite game(s) - This one is really tough. If we're talking old school, then I'd have to say Super Metroid and Donkey Kong country 2 on SNES. Newer systems...um, probably Final Fantasy X and Silent Hill 2. ^^
DDR is a whole other category. I used to play it every day, but now it's only on rare occasions. I haven't played it in about 6 months...and I officially suck at it again. lol.
In other news...hasn't a new CSI PC game just been released? Apparently, it's the third one. I had no clue a CSI game ever even existed. Must. Buy. Now. whee

What system(s) do you own? - I have NES and SNES emulators on my computer... does that count? xD And my parents have a PS2 that I use when I'm at home. Favorite console? - PS2. I much prefer it over Xbox, but I plan on buying the PS3 when it comes out. NES comes close. I LOVE the old games. Favorite game genre? - The ones that REALLY make me think. Favorite game(s)? - Crash Bandicoot. xD Specifically CTR. <3
and the burning question... To love DDR, or not to love DDR? <333 - I suck, but I love it. ;D It's the only game I can play and get a good workout while I'm at it.

Old games from NES and SNES was what I was raised on. I will always have a special place in my heart for them, but I can't help but get hooked on newer stuff.
Things that I've noticed...
NES and SNES games are incredibly hard to beat. I find that most of the old games I've played I've only been through about 90% of the game before it got just frustrating. Games nowadays can be beaten in a day(most of them...though some RPG's I've played can run over 100 hours of gameplay), and the difficulty is about half of the games of old. I guess that's why most games now have difficulty levels for those who want more of a challenge. heart

What system(s) do you own? Let's see, newest to oldest (so I can remember :-p) PS2, GameCube, GBAdvance, N64, GBColor, Sega Genesis...
Favorite console? I love all of them. With the possible exception of my GBC, 'cause my Advance kinda outdated it... But I haven't played any of them much besides my PS2 since I got it. Although my GameCube and N64 still rock. And my Sega broke about ten years ago o_O
Favorite game genre? I like RP games and some fighting game things, as well as a handful of sports games... And anything even slightly related to an anime I like is good biggrin I'll play pretty much anything...
Favorite game(s)? Well, DDR is one... Tales of Symphonia is awesome too... (Kratos fan here biggrin ), I also like NFLStreet2, for some reason. And all the SSX games... Again, I really can't chose. I love them all! *hugs her oversized collection*
and the burning question...
To love DDR, or not to love DDR? <333 To love and wish I was better at biggrin According to my friends, I'm really not that bad, but I remember back when I fell over trying beginner. On the controller >.< I'm much better now (thankfully biggrin ), but I still wanna play Heavy someday. Maybe even Challange...

I still remember the first time I played DDR...I was playing, "Look to the sky" on light(which was about a 3/10 difficulty) and struggling to pass it. I remember being really upset when I got a D. >_<
Now I can play up to a 7 or 8...but it's been a while, so I probably can't do that anymore. sweatdrop

Slightly off topic, but... I recently subscribed to Blockbuster online, so I'm renting all the CSI episodes and watching them all. @_@
I will be in CSI heaven for the next couple of weeks. heart

Systems? At the moment, I have a PS2, which I use maybe once a week. I also have (I think) a Sega Genesis lying around somewhere, which was given to me ansd which I have never used. And somewhere in my house lurks an Atari 2600 and a load of games for it. I also have two GBASPs, a GBA, and a GameBoy Pocket. Favourite console? Probably my PS2, but I also luffles my GBASPs. And you can't beat a GameBoy Pocket for playing Tetris. Favourite Genre? PRobably Action/adventure, but I also like some RPGs, some fighting games, loads of FPSs (probably my second favourite genre, really), and a handful of sports games. Favourite game(s)? God of War, no question. Also, Devil May Cry and, of course, CSI (for the computer)
and the burning question...
To love DDR or not to love DDR? I have to admit, I have never played DDR in my entire life. Unbelievable, yeah? Even so, I have to say to love, 'cos it happens to be so much fun just watching other people play it at arcades.

Niiice. I actually never had the chance to play it, though I really want to.
I absolutely love DMC. I've beaten it at least 3 times. <3 I'm really interested in God of War, but I'm currently concerning all my time with Xenosaga II...which is getting rather frustrating, to say the least. I only rented it, so I'm tempted to just take it back and not beat it. That game has my face turning blue sometimes. >_<
I've read so much about the CSI games, and there's a new one that came out last month. Hopefully when I save up some money I can buy them...though my computer is kinda crappy, so maybe it's not a good idea. Meh, I'd take the risk. xD
Have you ever seen people doing freestyle on DDR in the arcade? It's some crazy stuff. I've seen guys doing break-dance moves with the two big arcade sensors, and get perfect scores across the board. That's a diehard player if you ask me. *laughs*

Aww, you're not a dumbass. DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution. It's a dancing game where you match up arrows on the screen to arrows on a dance pad by stepping on them in the right order while awesome music plays in the background. It's highly addicting, but takes a while to master. heart

That's a diehard player if you ask me. *laughs*Yeah, Atari is actually pretty entertaining if you ignore the fact that everything is pretty much different coloured blobs of pixels. Though I suppose that's actually part of the fun of it, really. Space Invaders on Atari is one of the best things ever, seriously. If you get the right games, Atari can be loads of fun. And yanno something funny? I went to an exhibit a few years ago at a place near where I live. It was some sort of thing on the evolution of video games or something like that, I don't remember exactly. We were looking at the exibit, walking along this long glass which they had the different consoles in, and there, near the end of the side we were on was an Atari 2600 with a cartridge I have a copy of in it's cartridge slot. I just sort of went O_o "Wow..." and started laughing. DMC is great, I've only beaten it once, though, probably because I don't play it that often. I LOVE GoW (even though I died about 200 times), it has amazing graphics and pretty excellent gameplay, some interesting puzzles, and very cool enemies. There need to be a few more bosses, though, I think. At the moment, I'm working my way through on God mode while eagerly awaiting next year's sequel. I got so excited I actually squee-d with joy when I saw the gaming mag announcing it! If Xenosaga II has you that frustrated, you could just return it and rent it again later, take a break from it, yanno? I have to do that with games sometimes. There was one that was annoying me so badly that I kept throwing my controller across the room when I played it. For the sake of my controller (and the wall), I put it away for a couple weeks, went back to it, and finally finished it. The CSI games are actually rather fun, in my opinion. I like the fact that you get the chance to work with each CSI and that some of the cases in each game eventually tie into each other. I'm hoping to get the money to buy the third one, as I was lucky enough to recieve the other two as gifts from my aunt and uncle and don't expect to be given this one as well, since my birthday isn't until December. *nod* Yeah, I've seen people doing things like that once or twice. Some absolutely insane stuff, that. I know that if I ever tried it, I'd thoroughly embarrass myself ( I absolutely CANNOT dance), and I figure that they must have either loads of talent or waaay too much time on their hands to be able to have perfect scores across the board whilst doing those sorts of moves and managing to NOT fall on their arses.

I'm seriously addicted to the CSI game 3 Dimensions of Murder. It's friggin' sweet.
In other news, I almost threw my controller at my television last night. I was on the last battle in Kingdom Hearts II, and I died...quite unfairly. I tried again, only to die again. It was around 1am, and I was so angry that I just shut the game off...then I realized I didn't save. gonk
Kill me now.

Kill me now. I haven't played that CSI game yet, or even seen it, but it sounds good. Dunno if it'll run on my computer, though. 's kinda loaded with stuff. *kills you* Hogawd, that's HORRIBLE! I feel your pain , really, I do. I've done that before, especially with games like God of War. I've got Max Payne and have had to restart twice because I keep saving at a point where I'm low on health and haven't got painkillers left to restore it, and I keep being ambushed by these idiots in a subway station. I think I'm gonna have to restart it AGAIN, because I'm currently stuck at the same point.
