Harry never returns to Hogwarts, neither does Ron and Hermione, even though both Harry and Hermione were made Head Boy and Girl. The trio traveled to Godric's Hollow over the summer, they found some key clues there. They also attended Bill and Fluer's wedding, which was a joyous event. At the request of Harry; Neville, Ginny, and Luna all stayed at Hogwarts to watch over the school, since there was no Dumbledore to protect it. They went on to become Aurors for the Ministry of Magic.
Now 5 years later, Neville, Luna, and Ginny just become Aurors. The trio has found all but two of the Horcruxes; Voldemort and Nagini. The Death Eaters have been killed off to less than two dozen. Rufus doesn't stay long as Minister, he is voted out after only 6 years in office, Percy Wealsey fills his spot. The trio has caught and killed more Death Eaters than the Ministry, but the Death Eaters are not growing because of the fear of being killed has grown within the people. Now Percy has finally given in so he has also asked the trio to join the Ministry as Aurors, and for Harry to be Head of Aurors. They accept.
Almost 2 years later Neville and Harry find Bellatrix Lestrange, they don't kill her just yet, but tortue her until she discloses that she is the secret keeper for Voldemort. They then get the information of where he is and who is with him. The 6 Aurors along with other members of the Order (for back up only). They go in and find Malfoy, Snape, and Voldemort plotting of course against Harry, and the Ministry. A big battle breaks out; Neville and Ron kill Snape, Hermione kills Malfoy, Ginny and Luna kill Nagini and destroy the last Horcrux too. Voldemort then tries to flee but Harry corners him.
Harry and Voldemort are the last ones standing in a duel everyone else is watching. They can't make their wands duel but Harry had came prepared. Before they went in him and Ron changed wands, so Ron has Harry's wand. However Voldemort does now know of this little trick, which is a fatal mistake. He did not draw his wand because he did not want a repeat of what happened 10 years prior. They did exchange words, in which Harry told him what the prophecy actually said, and then Voldemort started to beg and ask for forgiveness. Harry then said to Voldemort, "You made me be the one to kill you, and you're not immortal anymore. Now one last request, look into the face of you're killer, because you're dead Tom, and I am you're killer." Harry then killed him and that was the last Horcrux and he was gone. Also 7 years before on that fateful day, Snape had killed Dumbledore. This was Harry's revenge.
