The Alpha Omega are there any plants, or herbs that enhace (sp?) dreams? Enhance how? I know hops puts you into a nice, relaxed sleep state. Lavender has a folklore reputation for giving sweet dreams at night, and an old wive's tale says that certain plants, when drunk as a wine drink, promote "healthy spirit" which gives sweet dreams. I'm not positive, but I think... Hm. One of our resident witches would better tell you the reputed magical properties of certain herbs, but I think (think, mind you) that certain herbs can promote dreams.

There are probably known and effective mixes of teas and herbs, but balm tea is known to calm body and spirit when drank a little before going to bed. That way enhancing the probability of having dreams. With that, balm tea gives you dreams in colour too.
If you mean to have more prophetic dreams, I can't really help you out. I know that you will have to mix different herbs then.

I just happened to be reading a book recently that talked about this and there was a big long list of herbs for dreaming. Among the ones that made sense to me were lavender and lilac. Both are very relaxing scents and would empty the mind of the past day's events so one can dream of visions relating to something other than mundane existence. Some people also evidently use an herb and essential-oil infused pillow (not full-size, just a small sack hung near the bed or put under your larger pillow) that is used to assist in dreamwork.

Hops, with it's sedative effect, is good for inducing sleep too, and helping maintain the right level for dreaming.

Valerian also has helps to sleep and has a sedative effect. Just don't use too much. Drink in a tea. There are many good ones on the market at any health food store.

Of course, the usual bouts of chamomile and other soothing, peaceful herbs- no real effect on dreams themselves, except to gently ease you into a peaceful sleep.

Hops ^^; I know that one... it's indeed sleep inducing. My employer could agree with that... Hm. Lavender is an often used part of "dream mixes". I think chamomille is another of those.

I am thinking the one you are referring to as the wine drink is Blue Lotus. It used to be used in many of the wines the Egyptians drank in the past. I have brewed a tea from it myself and I have to admit. It does have a very nice sedative power to it.

No, not that old. XD Although that's neat, I didn't know that.
No, it was ... something... in wine, in medieval times. Not heartsease, ... argh! It was said to promote a healthy spirit and encourage the heart to thrive or something.

It is also important to remember to use herbs that will take care of any problems you have during sleep. Digestion problems wake you? Echinecea helps. Just stuff like that.
