I am no alchemist. My friend and I tried to transmute things at school, with no success. But we believe the reason is that we can't draw perfect circles yet. Mainly, I want to no if anyone else has tried this and actually did it, and have tips, or if others have also failed.

I never personally did that (I'm not that crazy) , but all I have to say is you can join the 30 other people I know that acutally tried to transmute things. Worst part is they keep on tring to transmute things, and completely fail (like they should). All I do is stand there laughing at them.

well you need to be really smart to do it. need to know everything from your input to your output and whatever you need to know to transmute. That or maybe we just cannt draw circles. Or maybe were on the other side of the gate and we cannt transmute things lol anything is possible.

I know there was an actual site on real alchemy and what is really takes to do something. But I remember looking at all the materials and such you need which would cost over thousands of dollars o.o;;;
But to actually understand that stuff would be a little hard. I would need to kick myself back into science again ^ ^;
Too bad our knowledge has gone more into the machinery and such.

Alchemy is not how they make it on Full Metal Alchemist.
REAL alchemy in 'transmuting' things it grinding herbs to make potions and medicines of the sort. They are more of the creating scientists. Unfortunetly, there is no such thing as magically clapping your hands and making broken glass into a cup.
If that were true, there would be someone who would have done this already and he or she would be on the news and everyone would be trying and doing it.
Truth hurts don't it?

I tried. I failed. Then I looked up alchemy in the dictionary. Alchemy isn't breaking something, then for equivalent exchange, making it new again, it's a science of herbs and potions! And I was like "no way!" I'm a bit of an idiot though, so I'm still trying. Like unrequainted love.

ive tried hundreds of times. my brother and i make games out of it. hes really little so its like *draws circle on leg and touches it* "ha ha i transmuted your leg off. *brother folds leg under butt (he's sitting) stretches other leg out to make it seem like his leg is gone* eventually he gets bored of losing limbs and magically regrows them back though. but wouldn't it be wierd if hiromu arakawa (author of full metal alchemist) was from the other side of the gate and she made these stories because she got money for them? the whole book would be like...real! oh and she based winry off herself and the series is the adventures of her childhood friends!? i think about that all the time. that's why i continually draw tranmutation circles. i even have roy mustang's gloves. but i know it's not real. it's fun to dream though.

Truth hurts don't it? The "Alchemists" would also try to change poor-man's metal into gold, as if it was the original goal of being an alchemist. Irony would be that in the show it is illegal to create gold!

Well in order to use alchemy just like in FMA, you would have to cross the gate and survive until you get to the other side. You would then control your alternate self's body.

unless you brought your body with you...then you would have your own body!
