I'm just posting this here for ya'll to read, kay? biggrin ---------------------------------------------
Izzy was born Issiree Kaoltura. She was titled Triplinate child of Elloraah, Segundinate daughter of Feiiteer, High Priest of the Order of Kao of the Kaoltura, the golden draconian clan. She was a celebrated child, deemed to inherit her mother's position of warrior priestess. The members of the Order of Kao celebrated her birth since it also occurred on the summer solstice, the holy day of Kao. She would be the first priestess in three centuries to have that honor.
Pleased with this blessing from Kao, Feiiteer, the high priest named his daughter, Elloraah to be his successor so that her daughter might succeed her and become high priestess in her time of age. With that announcement, many blessings and festivals were held throughout the land of worshippers of Kao, from within the Kaoltura and within the sister clans.
Time passed and Issiree grew to mirror her mother in temperament and image. The other priests were pleased with her and proclaimed that she would become an excellent high priestess, perhaps the best of their time. Izzy found this amusing but spent little thought or worry on their praise. All she cared for at this time was the pleasure of her parents and two older brothers. She learned anything they would teach her. And acted like any child of a happy family. She rejoiced in their love and sorrowed in their discipline.
She began to follow her brothers when they went to hunt. At first they were dismayed that they had to watch for their younger sister when they could be spending their time focusing on their prey. But after being admonished but their grandfather, they began to purposely take her. They taught her all they knew and soon she kept up in her own right. At this time, she became the most skilled huntress of her age in the clan.
It wasn't too long before the hunts together ended. It was time for her oldest brother, Teerron, to take his place among the warrior hunters of the clan. Izzy watched with pride as he ascended into adulthood through the rite of age. And a year after that, her other brother, Wiilaan, also passed the rite of age stood among the mages ofof the Kaoltura. She began to look forward to the day when she could take the rite and stand next to her mother as a warrior priestess of her own right.
The next year though, three years before she was to take her rite, the rumors started. The Virkajas, the silver clan, had begun to claim that Eshei was now living among them. It would seem as though the next few years would have a shadow upon them that even the light of Kao could not pierce.

The rumblings and stirrings of trouble began soon after the call went out that Eshei had descended from the heavens. Issiree and her brothers returned from hunting one afternoon to find a Virkajas messenger standing in their square awaiting the presence of their grandfather, Feiiteer, the high priest of Kao. The joined their parents and watched the temple delegation present themselves to hear the messenger's proclamation.
Izzy was certain she'd never forget his words. "Our god of the moon and shadows, Eshei, calls you forth. He calls upon you to present yourselves and submit to his commands. He has chosen the chief of the Virkajas clan to rule supreme over all of the draconian nation! He shall unite us and present our enemies to be stamped under our feet! Submit to him, or be cursed and die!" the messenger proclaimed loudly for all to here. Many of the warriors stepped forward to take his head, but Feiiteer answered, "We have heard you messenger. Come back in one moon's time to hear our answer." The messenger was shocked that he had not received immediate obeisance but bowed formally and took off into the air, heading back to his lands.
Feiiteer called forth the clan's messengers and sent them to all the clans that served Kao. He bid them to wait until the council of Kao had been sought. That night all of the clan went into the temple court to pray until dawn. With the dawn, Feiiteer said that a clan council would sit and discuss this. All who were not of age were sent out of the temple while the adults went into the hall of sunbeams and began to discuss their choice of action. The argument within the council was so vehement that it could be heard clearly outside. Many never once wavered in their loyalty to Kao, saying that Eshei had no rule over them. But a fair number still feared the idea of a god walking the mountains. When it was realized that the clan as a whole body would not reach a decision, all but the eldest of each family was sent out. The elders then sat in the hall and calmly pray and discussed for the remainder of the month.
The moon waxed and waned, and Eshei's messenger came again. He stood in front of the temple and rudely called for Feiiteer to give an answer. Feiiteer stepped out into the light to be seen and said to the messenger, "We follow Kao." With that, he and the elders returned to the interior of the temple. The messenger fled the village alive, but barely so. It was heard that he did not remain so after his return. Once again the clan messengers went out and informed the followers of Kao of their decision. All clans who had waited agreed and gave the same message. Then it began.
Rumors began to circulate between the clans of Kao, rumors of blood, steel... and ice. It seemed that many of the smaller clans had begun to disappear one by one. All anyone knew was their villages were ravaged terribly. But no tale can survive with no one to tell it. The truth came to light when one of the larger clans managed to get a messenger out in time. All who worshipped Kao had been sentenced to death. And the Virkajas were Eshei's sword hand.
Issiree began to help her family and clan make preparations. The last of the clans gathered at the central village with the temple and set up fortifications. Supplies were brought in and weapons were made and honed. Joy it seemed, had died, but not hope. During this time, Izzy was called aside by her grandfather, Feiiteer. He took her into the temple and showed her all that she had not been allowed to see before, taught her all that was secret. "You are the last of the heirs, should we die, granddaughter." he told her. In his eyes, she saw death, and was chilled to the soul.
Not too long after that, the silver draconian army came. And at it's head was a being unlike any other Issiree had ever seen. He stood tall against the ranks of the solders, wearing silver and black. His black haired flowed in the wind and his eyes seemed to glow. Or was it that they were simply not effected by the sudden clouds of shadows that descended upon the village blocking out Kao's light? It was then, the Kaoltura and all the clans of Kao, realized that their silver brothers had been tricked.... by an elven shadowmancer. Issiree knew she would see much blood that day.
