There are possible spoilers at the end. **signifies where they are. If you haven't seen after the time jump and don't want to know, stay away from it.

Sakura is always getting the short end of the stick from people because of her obsession with Sasuke. I have always been quite bothered by that. I know we all love Sakura here, but I'd just like to point out a few things and maybe some of you can relate.

Sakura is 12 when Naruto begins. That is extremely important to remember when judging her actions. She has an outgoing personality, so it's not in her nature to hide how she feels about the boy she likes (like Hinata who is very shy). So it's very understandable how she acts around Sasuke. I don't even want to remember how I acted when I was twelve. I'm sure I was quite immature and obsessed with boy bands and I certainly wouldn't want the person I really am to be judged by childhood obsessions.

Which leads me to what I believe Sasuke is to Sakura. A childhood obsession. I'm not belittling the strength of her feelings, though. I believe she feels very strongly for him. After the time jump, though, it is clear that Sasuke is a very dear friend that Sakura loves. But quite possibly only as a friend.

**After the time jump, Sakura has become a calm, confident kunoichi. She has amazing talent as a medic nin and super strength just like her teacher, Tsunade. She has also become one of the only people that Tsunade trusts completely. It is clear that she is not anyone to be trifled with and that she takes her duty as a shinobi of Konoha very seriously. It is hinted by a character that the person Sakura truly loves is Naruto himself.

So, thoughts on Sakura and why she is an amazing character?

Sakura, from my first glance at her in the first part of Naruto, was a fan-girl. I never thought she'd get as far as she did after the time jump, and now she is just wow. Talk about a one girl revolution.

After only two years, Sakura's being talked about as being even better then Tsunade, which is no laughing matter. She's just devoloped so much through the 300 chapters she's been in; which is why she is one of my favorite characters, along with Naruto. wink

Kakashi said that she would surpass Tsunade because she has strong genjutsu skills (along with all Tsunade has taught her), which we haven't really seen in action after the time jump, just her uber-strength and amazing healing skills. We were especially able to see her development in the Rescue Gaara arc. She develops amazingly because she worked hard and was determined.

After the timeskip, Sakura does show that she has feelings for Naruto; she shows the same reaction to Naruto when he turns to the 4 tailed state of kyubbi like when Sasuke when he was overcome by the cursed seal given to him by orochimaru in the Forest of Death.

Yeah, I guess I can relate to that. Even though right now Sakura's REALLY annoying. Whenever I watch Naruto on T.V., all I hear her say is "SASUKE!!!". AUGH. That is soooo annoying. But I guess I can understand that she's just an over-obssessed girl fooled by fake "love". The only reason I think Sakura likes Sasuke is because of his looks, and because she thinks he's "cool".

i like sakura. she is my fav girl character.

she is very determined and came a long way. She is very skilled and intelligent, and that was shown in the time jump when fightin the pupet dude (lol to obsessed wid narusaku to remember the name of "pupet dude" XD )sakura does show that she likes naruto (i dont think she actually relized yet that she likes him deep inside)

yes it was hinted by their substitute sensei that she loves him but naruto had to wake up before he could say it all the way T crying T i bet she would really think about it and relize that she does like naruto alot if the sensei said that, and i think that she would really admit it to naruto if the sensei dude said everythin he ment to say.

I agree with you 100%. I think that her character has developed wonderfully. How I'm eager for some NaruSaku goodness.

I'm proud to say I was a Sakura Whore right from the get-go.

At first I just liked her because she was such a cutie, but as the series progressed, I began to grow even more fond of her.

She's an incredibly realistic character. Very honest, open, and just about what most kids are like at 12. She doesn't have a bloodline limit, yet she perseveres, and she shows us it isn't always phsyical strength that makes a ninja and great ninja.

And she's a cutie.

Yup^^I really like how she is maturing. I think you are right Sakura is an out-going person who fights for waht she wants and deserves, so of course she would act that way toward Sasuke. I also love how her and Naruto's relationship is very mature. Both of them are taking things slowly.^^

I do have to admit so was Kind of annoying at first, but I liked her anyways. The time-skip made me happy because Sakura matured, and she became really strong too!

I agree Sakura really gets better after the time skip. She is more skilled and has a beter relationship with Naruto.
