Very nice. Perhaps you could play around with different angles. Nice though.

I like the plant, although I'm not sure about the background. Try placing the pot in other locations. Preferably in places that would have light variations. Light variations usually get good reactions.

I actually took that pic at random. I was at loss for an object - so I chose this one in my garden. I shall try out on the light variations though - thanks a lot. I actually took this usin' my digicam. It's good to have your suggestions! I appreciate it! smile thanks

Very good texture study. biggrin

However, it seems as if you didn't mount the camera before taking the picture (it looks like you may have shook slightly when you took it).

Also, it seems that the color is a washed out, not crisp or vivid, but that may just be the camera. whee

This is pretty good for a newbie shot.

As Jaggedbubbles said, the colours are slightly washed out. You can try using a digital camera and adjust such things on the computer.

What I find slightly dissapointing about this shot (and I mean this in the nicest possible way) is that it is slightly boring. I know you have focused directly on the plant however it just looks a little half-hearted. Maybe you could have tried different angles or compositions, instead of just keeping the subject in the middle.

Anyways, keep taking photos and keep your good work up! 3nodding
