Well, how did you become a fan of Within Temptation.
I became a fan when my brother bought their first well known CD, Mother Earth. That was like 6 years ago, I was 9 back then. Then Ice Queen came out and it was a huge succes, I remember that I thought:"Wow, we have good bands in the Netherlands"
Well, to be honest, I forgot a little about them then, my brother didn't listen to Mother Earth anymore, and I'm dead if I steal his CD's.
But then in 2003 Running up that Hill came out(My favorite Within Temptation song) and I stole Mother Earth from him. since then I'm a big fan of them.
Well, I'm wondering how a Dutch band can be well known outside the Netherlands(and Europe?), so tell us your story!

Well I pretty much am addicted to finding bands I haven't heard of.
So I was searching around on radio stations taht winamp provides and I found this gothic, metal, new age goth, blah blah station.
Well the first song on it was called Dark Wings by Within Temptation.
I loved the song soOOO much.
So I started to download more by them.
Soon enough I made my friend Ashleigh (animeprincess1) listen to them and ta-da! ^__^
She became a fan.

Wel... My dad got some cd from a friend of him.... dunno when.. about 5 years ago I think, so that was when I became a fan, really love the music smile bought the last cd a few months ago I think.. about a week after the realese date.. and it's pretty good.. well that was my story razz

Mia had me listen to Perfect Harmony and I fell inlove with it. ^^ I wanted a copy of the cd she had, so I put it on my computer and I heard the other songs and loved them. ^_^

I saw them in tv month ago (Yes, i'm new fan... sweatdrop ), and i though they're pretty good.
And...I downloaded six songs by WT, and now i'm a fan. ^_^

i was very young when i became fan, i was fan of them when i was very young. i alwyas appreciate things like gothic an fantasy. and i became fan because i was little and like here clothes so much and thought she was and fairy ore a angel and i really liked fairytales at that moment i was very young then.and now i am still a big fan, i like the numbers: running up that hill, but it is covered from kate bush i don't like that, i more original stuff, i don't like taking somebody's work, but memories and ice queen are very good now i think

Really new fan... DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THIS! THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD HEAR OF IT BEFORE! IT NEVER PLAYED ON THE RADIO OR ANYTHING HERE! My friend's penpal (who lives in europe... lucky) sent her a few songs and she made me listen to it... and then I downloaded a lot of their songs to see if I liked it or if it was only these songs. The CD is so expensive here since it's imported... I had to be sure I liked it before buying the CD... And I bought the CD and became a fan... That was like last month eek
