Casey walked into her room which was just behind the armoury so that she could make quick exits if she needed to. She had left a messager for Zephyr to meet her here so that she could prep him for the class and give him a crash course at working the Armoury.

"ah there you are." Casey said after closing the door of the Armoury behind her at the other end of the room. "I've been waiting to see you. I think that now is the appropriate time to teach you properly what it is like to be a weapons master." She walked over to a book self and picked up a lightsaber from the shelf ."First off I'd like to how much you know about lightsabers. " She said to Zephyr

"that's quite alright." Casey said. She was actually impressed with what he knew.

"although lightsaber were not always like the ones that we own today." She said as she grabbed a book off the book case and placed it on her desk.

"the very first Jedi Knights did not wield lightsabers, instead, they wielded alloy swords which the forged through using the force this process was called jedi forge. Eventually through this process they realized that they could essentially freeze a laser beam this discover lead to our present day lightsabers. Around 15, 500BBY the jedi had managed to generate a focused beam of energy that arced circumferential back to its source, creating the first portable high-energy blade. Although these were the first lightsabers they were highly unstable. The hilt of the blade was strapped to a power pack on the Jedis back and the early lightsabers could only be used of a matter of minuets before it drained the power no to mention that these were highly unstable and ofter caused injury to it's wielder. Until about 7, 000BBY these weapons were rarely used after that. More modifications were done to the blade that made it more usable but powering it was still a problem. These sabers were connected to a power pack on the Jedis Belt making their movements more restricted. It wasn't until 4, 800BBY that our modern Lightsabers as you would call them came about. An internal superconductor was introduced which transferred the returning looped energy from the negative-charged flux aperture back into an internal power cell. With this modification, the power cell would only expend power when the energy loop was broken, when the lightsaber blade cut into something, at last solving the ages-old power supply problem." Sh paused for a moment as to not overwhelm him.

"Now on to the Light saber colours. The colour of a lightsaber blade is heavily dependent on the crystal used in its construction. A jedis Chrystal can be found in natural deposits on vairous planets thought out the Universe. But, the most common ones like you said are the Adegan and Ilum ones. The Sith, however, made use of synth-crystals to power their weapons, which resulted in Sith blades being almost uniformly red but not always. Synth_Chrystals are Crystals that are not actually Chrystal's they are wynthetic most often made by sith masters. The ancient Jedi wielded blades of every color and hue. Some of the more famous colors were red, orange, yellow, light blue, blue, purple, silver, gold, white, among many others. In today's Orders your two most common Colours are Green and blue but yellow and purple are regaining some popularity again.

During the days of the "Old Republic" some of the colors held significance as to which class a Jedi chose to become. The initial classes were Jedi Consular, Jedi Guardian, and Jedi Sentinel. The Jedi Consular, whose color was green, were the governmental peace keepers of the Jedi and had a grander mastery of the Force, and focused less towards the physical fighting abilities. The Jedi Guardian, whose color was blue, were, naturally, the guardians of peace and the force, and their training focused more so on the use of their lightsaber skill than force mastery. The Jedi Sentinel, whose color was yellow, were the keepers of Justice and Balance, who had a nearly evenly balanced blend of lightsaber skill and Force mastery. While this color selection was not absolutely obligatory, at the time it was tradition." She paused for a few more minuets.
