The Warhammer was quiet only a quiet hum filled the air, Cinder walked the hall of the ship moodily her thick grav-lock boots clicking on the deck of the ship. She was moody and the ship seemed cold tonight, for a moment she thought it would be nice to have someone to warm her bed but then quickly pushed that thought away. With a sigh Cin palms a door sensor and steps into the observation deck, looking up she could see outside the hull of the Warhammer, iradescent lights flew by she watches the dazzling lights a moment letting the beauty of space overtake her...no wonder Stephen wanted to bind with it for eternity. The tone of her mind is sad as she thinks this.
You get moody and angsty and eventually you wake me up with it. A sour voice speaks into her mind.
Cin turns hearing the voice a slight smile on her face, her arms crossed, "Sorry sleeping beauty." Kasai steps through the door of the observatory as she speaks. His flame red hair sticking out every which way, he reaches up and lazily scratches his head looking around.
Geez, it's bright in here when we are in deeper space. He blinks his eyes owlishly looking up at the myriad colors of hyperspace.
"Since your up lets go to the mess hall, standing here too long makes me motion sick." Truthfully it was the other thoughts that tend to assault her when she looks at the colors of hyperspace that were making her feel ill, she didn't want to share that at the moment however. She starts out the door her boots sounding muffled in the early morning hours, the space pirate's mind reeling from old memories and sadness. She knew what it was...she had been in space too long and on top of that she was missing people she had grown close to.
Kasai walked after her his footsteps quiet as he was still barefoot wearing only the boxers he had fallen asleep in, dark red in color with black stars covering them. He rubbed his hands over his arms trying to get rid of the chill from the ship, as they walked he watched his guardian something was wrong with her he could tell. Other then their predicament and not having any idea where they were he could tell it was something else. Some more ghosts of her past or something...it usually was something like that when she severed their mindlink so he couldn't hear her stray thoughts.
Cinder palmed the door to the mess hall and soft lights started to pop on around the baseboards of the kitchen area. A buzzing sound filled the air as the drink machine started up, "Good Morning Cinder Fae, will it be just the usual Chai?", the voice was that of a soft spoken englishman and it seemed to come for all around in the kitchen.
"That's fine Mycroft, make sure to bring out some cream and sugar when the tray is ready. Kasai will want it," Cin's voice sounds a bit weary and she goes to lean against the counter yawning gently. After a moment Kasai comes to sit by her, he plays with his hair trying to keep it from sticking everywhere. Granted the only ones on this ship at the moment was Cinder, her adoptive son Kasai, and a pair of nefs but he still tried to make it stop standing on end.
A hush falls over the area as they wait, after a moment it is broken by a persistant beeping. Cin looks up with a frown on her face usually beeping like that meant something was broken or trying to break. The Warhammer was without navigation at the moment...they were flying blind toward an area more energy signals had come from. Her stormy blue eyes intent on a wall counsel she popped the white panel open, flicking some switches on a chart of their surrounding area shows up and not more then a few measures from them was a blinking red dot. Kasai looks over to her curiously standing from his seat to get a better view. Cin continues to read over the scans coming to her from the nearby ship, she lets out a gasp and then a sound of triumph.
"It's a trader! A treeber trading ship!," She nearly bursts with excitement as she slams the panel shut and makes a run for the bridge. She was praying that the trader would have the parts they needed...finally they could get home if they did.

Merci's ears were flat as she stared at an open access panel on the small space craft Fauve had "commandered" for her search for Kasai. Her tail lashed angrily behind her, as she tried to figure out what was wrong with the bloody thing. The large chips that were linked by iridecent glowing wires were a harmony of jumble that was completely beyond what Merci knew.
'Merci for the love of.... please fix it!' Fauves hair floated around her masked face, tangling in the large sharp curls at the top of her mask. She was floating at a 45 degree angle, her skirt rising enough that if anyone else were on the ship the teenager would likely have given them quite a show. Her butterfly wings were flapping helplessly, trying to right herself with no success.
They has lost gravity and Merci still couldn't figure out why! Somewhere in this ship was a wire that Fauve's little Nef likely chewed through. Though Fauve would NOT admit that her gift from Kasai would ever have done anything even remotely wrong.
"I am TRYING to fix it Fauve, yelling at me and begging doesn't do anything to help the situation!" They were both griping at each other, they had been like this since last evening. The ship wasn't built for non-grav comfort and bumping her head on the ceiling all night long had put the fox girl in a foul mood. "Go get that thingermabober we found in the house Fauve, the one that you hear the chittering on."
The girl groaned into her chosen's mind before she reached out and used the wall to help her move toward the small bunk that the two girls were sharing. 'What am I supposed to do with it when I find it? I haven't heard anything from it the past few days.'
Merci wanted to strangle the vain blonde girl. If it weren't for her they wouldn't be in this mess, but nooo... She had to go chasing after the fire masque and Merci hadn't been able to tell those big blue tearful eyes 'no'. "Just.... bring it here and let me yell in it some more, maybe Cinder will hear me."
Months ago Fauve had found the odd contraption in the couch, and Merci had dismissed the item. However she had found things that looked alot like it when she and Fauve and searched Cinder's home for hints as to were the woman and her son may have disappeared to. Merci was sure that the chittering was probably some ship part or something, and eventually someone would hear her yelling in it.
Inathe squealed quietly from where he was in the bunk, the little Nef perched happily on his head. They were both in the bunk and Inathe's eyes blinked happily as his mother came floating into the room.
Fauve rummaged around in the blankets, kicking one of her juggling balls to ricochet around the room before she came up with the thingamajigger that her guardian believed attached them to Cinder. 'I got it, and the chittering is gone. There is a beep though...' She trailed off and turned using the bed as leverage and pushed off through the air again, like a swimmer through water.
Merci slammed the console shut and pulled her shirt down, tucking it into her tight leather skirt. "Just give it here.." she jerked the communicator out of Fauve's hand and tried like she did every day "HELLOO!! I KNOW THERE HAS TO BE SOMEONE OUT THERE!"

"Strap in!" Cin yelled over the com to the rest of the ship. She then leans back in the pilot's seat and starts shifting down out of hyperspace. The iradescent lights of hyperspace slowly started to disappear and the in almost no time at all starts jumped into space around them. Cinder leans back in the pilot's webbing a small smile on her face enjoying the sight of the stars.
"Haiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!" Came the panic scream from a small black and orange mouse shaped creature as he clings to one of Kasai's mask curls. The creature was Burton and he wasn't adjusting well to space life. Well Burtan yelled his frustration at the icky feeling he got from moving in and out of hyperspace his counter part Wicked slept peacefully in Cin's tool belt.
Kasai reaches up and pets the little creature on top his head, If there is a merchant here I best go find some pants. The little creature on his head nodded a few times still clinging, Kasai gets up trying to keep it in place and heads for his quarters in search of pants.
Swiveling the piloting chair around Cin starts sending out a greeting frequancy to the trade ship, "Greetings trade class vessal from the Warhammer a class six merchant vessal. We wish to dock with you and speak of trade." She leans back waiting for the treeber to respond to her hail as she does Cin hears a burst of static, turning quickly she looks over at the communicator that had been dead for a very long time as her eyes fell on it a voice came from the device, "HELLOO!!!...." Her eyes getting wide Cin grabs for the device - that was Merci`'s voice. "Oh my god, Merci! Can you hear me dear?" The communicator wasn't one of the long distant ones which meant Merci` was somewhere close and hopefully so was Masquerade. As she held the communicator in her hand she looks up and out the approaching trader, she frowns now that she realizes they haven't answered her. Then she squints her eyes and they get wide as she realizes what she is seeing. In the next few moments she spins and palms the com to the rest of the ship.
"Kasai! We have Cygens out here - get to the guns!" She then turns back and starts hitting levers, they were still able to move the Cygens didn't realize that they knew what they were yet. The comm in her hand crackled as if to remind her she had someone to talk to, s**t...Merci was out here somewhere and if it was the plant she wasn't going to take cyborgs on the verge of insanity back there. She picks the comm up and speaks into it calmly, "Merci, I need you to talk to me dear and then I need you to follow some instructions...first off are you on the planet or do you have a ship?"

Merci stared at the thing when it gave her static, just like every other day. She let out a long huff as she tapped her foot and glared at the odd little contraption. She had a fleeting thought that maybe she wasn't using it right when suddenly a voice floated from it, one she hadn't heard in an age. Her green eyes got huge and she almost didn't understand what Cinder had said in her utter shock that she had ACTUALLY gotten through to someone.
Fauve's large blue eyes widened and she snatched the communicator from Merci and looked at it, she pressed down the button as if she could talk into it and started shouting some things that were not entirely ladylike.
Merci snatched back the communicator and put a finger up to her lips to shush Fauve. "Shhh.. she can't hear you anyway, and I did not raise you to use that sort of languge Fauve." Merci tsked at the teenager and wagged a finger in the rebellious masque's direction. Merci pressed down on the button that allowed her to talk, her tail now swaying back and forth in both aggitation at Fauve and her situation, and joy that the end could very well be in sight. "Cinderfae?" She paused for a moment and in a half sob she said into the communicator again, "Thank god, I have no idea what I am doing, we haven't had gravity in about 24 hours.. I can't get the freaking thing to move forward anymore, there are lights blinking in the cockpit I have NO idea what they mean, and that darling little rodent that you guys call a Nef has started chewing up wires in this junkheap and I don't know what to do.."
Fauve was staring at Merci rather deadpan, her eyes half lidded in her complete and utter disgust at her chosen's outburst. They had everything under control, they didn't need Cinder OR Kasai. She'd come out here to slap that boy around and maybe kick him once or twice, give him some odd skin irritation that lasted a few weeks and made him really uncomfortable.... The point was she didn't come out here to play the victem that needed saving and here her big strong guardian was acting like a total crybaby.
Merci looked up at Fauve and put the communicator behind her back, using the tip of one of ther boots to push her back away from the teenager in the no gravity environment. "Fauve we need help, and it's Cinderfae. You wanted to find them, remember? Well we found them, and we can hitch a ride with them back to Masquerade. I can't fix this.." She could feel the disapproval rolling off of Fauve like a smothering blanket, she could feel the anger underneath it. Staring at those dead blue eyes Merci shivered a little bit and for once thought that maybe letting her get her hands on Kasai wasn't such a good idea. She lifted the communicator her her mouth again and said rather quietly into it "Fauve is really kinda ticked off, and in to be explicit in case my rant before didn't tell you, no we arn't on the planet, we came looking for you two..."
That was it, Fauve launched herself at Merci and tried to get the odd little talking contraption away from her. She really hated sometimes that her guardian was so nimble, but the fox woman managed to elude Fauve.

Cinder gulped slightly when she heard the condition of the ship her eyes never looking away from the ship in front of her, "Merci` I need you to be calm but I need to you to what I tell you to. Right now there are some very dangerous..." Cin's words trailed off as she saw the harmless looking merchant's vessal spring to life. The Cygen's had realized that they were onto them, Cin reaches down and starts hitting buttons years of training taking over, she starts speaking again her voice strained as she speaks. "Merci` on the panel in front of you there will be a line of buttons, they are the ones above where it should say rear thrusters. Take something and pop the panel they are on up so you can see the wires under it." Cin's voice cuts and she curses under her breath as she jerks the warhammer to the side trying to dodge a beam coming from the approaching Cygen ship. "There will be a bundle of wires wrapped in black engineer tape, take something and cut the three green wires that should all be laying together in that bundle they will be off to the side. Your ship will power down and only life support will run. Don't freak out but you will need to do this so the Cygen's won't pick up your ships electrical signals." Cin cuts again as she swerves, dammit where was Kasai on the guns!
His eyes get wide as he hears Cin and still clad only in his boxers he runs down the hall of the ship heading for the guns. Moving as fast as he can he disreguards the black and orange nef clinging to his mask curls and takes the ladder up to the gun area two at a time. Dammit! He curses as the ship swerves slamming him into a wall he holds onto the ladder for dear life. Once he is able he pulls himself up the ladder some more finally finding the latch to the gun pit. After much cursing and moving he gets himself situated in the seat, Burton screaming has now turned into a low whine and the frightened little creature tries to find a place to hide in Kasai's hair. His fiery red eyes intent he looks ahead and then sees the other ship try to hit them with another beam, you sons of - Kasai quickly grabs the guns and opens fire on them.
"Yes!", Cin yells and lets out a whoop of excitement seeing the blue lights from her guns shooting along the side of the Cygen vessel. "Kasai keep firing we need to bring their ship about face and take out those engines. We need to make them dead in the water." Cin flips some switches and watches the gauges on the Warhammer's console well she pulls to the side and starts a series of loops to keep the Cygen pilot occupied she speaks into the communicator, "Alright Merci` once you have that done I need you to sit tight and then Kasai and I will come and get you." Cin smiles slightly, sure they hadn't found the planet but if that was the type of vessel she thinks it is Masquarade won't be that far away.
Kasai's eyes get a little wide as he continues to shoot at the fake merchant ship, Cin! I see Merci` and Fauve's ship...I think they are going to try and use it for cover.
"Crap!" Cin shoves the nose of the Warhammer downward and half yells into the communicator. "Merci` you strap yourself and Fauve in, use crash seats or webbing...just use something!" Her intent blue eyes go back to the scene in front of her, they were going to have to get tricky and she just hoped that thing that Merci` and Fauve were in would be able to handle it.
Cin curses again as she sees the Cygen vessel snag the ship that Merci`'s signal is coming from with laser mesh. This day was going to be very interesting.

Merci managed to push against the wall nearest her to propel herself away from the angry masked teenager. Merci wasn't overly worried about getting hurt, but she was worried about Fauve accidentally hurting herself. The girl didn't take well to cuts, bruises and scrapes. Merci cocked one of her foxlike ears backward to try and catch what Cinder was saying over the angry hissing that was coming from the little lavender dragon that trailed Fauve everywhere she went. She heard something about rear thrusters and wires, popping something and snipping something else. Merci wasn't that great with big machines, the biggest machine she new how to work with any amount of skill were her two hand guns.
She was so intent on listening to what Cinder was saying that she didn't see Fauve crouch against the ceiling and spring toward her. Merci let out a surprised gasp as she went careening backwards and hit the edge of the doorframe to the cockpit. The kitsune woman stared at the opposite wall in complete and utter shock. 'That HURT!' Merci lifted her feet up, bootless in this environment, and placed them against Fauve's stomach. Merci straightened her body out, using one leg to push the girl out away from her, and keep those manicured claws away from her face. "FAUVE GET A GRIP! We can fight later, right now we might be in alot of trouble."
Fauve tried to get closer to Merci, but the lack of traction left her at her guardian's mercy. She glared daggers at Merci but finally after a few seconds realized that it wasn't so much her guardian she was mad at, but Kasai. He was right there, not but a short distance away, and she found herself horribly confused. Fauve felt suddently ashamed that she was lashing out at the one person who went out of her way to help her, who stole a ship with her to go on a wild months long goose chase so she could feel better. The teenaged girl pulled her hands back and stopped trying to strain against her guardians foot, a simple nod was all the response she gave.
Inathe lighted with ease on his 'mother's' shoulder and he curled his tail around her neck lightly, resting one of his clawed hands on the spiked curl of her mask. His reptilian head turned toward Merci, and anger burned in his little eyes that the fox woman would dare upset his mistress.
Merci turned and pushed into the cockpit of the little shuttle, her finger running over the dash until she found the buttons that said "Rear Thrusters" but in the haze she couldn't remember at first what to do.. was it.. pop the buttons out and cut the wires attached to them? Ooor it could have been cut the buttons out and pull the wires? Merci rolled her eyes up to the ceiling and silently cursed the blonde watching her from the doorway. In her anger the kitsune kicked the console and it popped up, revealing more chips and a few bundles of wires. "What the HELL is wrong with this SHIP!! It's falling apart! I can't even kick someting without it flying to piec...." she trailed off mid word as her eyes caught on the bundle of black, blue, red and green wires, bundled with some black tape. Something seemed to form in the back of her mind, and her green eyes rolled up to the scene playing out before her. The larger ship was lit up, and Cinder's ship seemed to be trying to dodge something.
Merci felt the first tinges of panic as she looked down at the console, she pulled out a knife, from where only the kitsune knows and don't ask, cause she will never ever tell. She looked at the wires and her green eyes darted back out into the blackness of space. Something told her she better hurry and do what it was Cinder told her to, she... crap.. she was supposed to cut something, but what color!
Merci stared down at the group of wires and narrowed her eyes. Black tape.. she said black and green, so if the tape was black that had to mean green wires. Didn't it? She looked back at Fauve and gave a disarming smile, "I have told you I love you today right?"
Fauves eyes got huge, that couldn't possibly be good. Her guardian only looked like that when something was going seriously wrong. "Merci don't kill us...."
Merci's ears flicked back and she shut her eyes and grabbed the wires, slicing through them. She heard a whirring sound and suddenly it got dark, alot darker then it had been as the shuttle shut down completely. She could only hear the sound of the vents still running and pumping oxygen. The redhead sat for a few seconds, her eyes rolling to look up to see if the other shoe was going to drop, and it didn't....
At least not right away....
Just when Merci put her knife away and took a deep breath to calm down the ship shook violently. Merci screamed, Fauve screamed, the poor Nef screamed.. hell even Inathe screamed. Merci felt the floor move out from under her and her charge barrel into her back, slamming her up against the blackness of space, her cheek pressed against the cold. She heard the little communicator crackle and Cinder's voice in a tinny yell, "Merci` you strap yourself and Fauve in, use crash seats or webbing...just use something!"
Brilliant... She was smashed between a terrified Fauve and managerie and the glass that was all the seperated her from the deep dark void of space, and Cinder was telling her to strap in. This day had gone from annoying to downright dangerous and no one had bothered to ask her if it was alright.
In her mind all she could hear was Fauve screaming, and before long, the Kitsune joined her.

Cin sighed with relief watching the dials, Merci` had gotten to the wires on time. She winced in the next moment hearing Merci` screaming in the communicator without much else to do she palms the button and yells as calmly as she can, "Just sit tight we will get you out of this." Now the question was how to get them out of this.
His eyes blazing like fire Kasai tries to find a way around the bulk of the ship that they Cygens were dragging. Burton at some point had ended up pressed again the side of the gun bubble, pulling itself free the little nef crawled onto Kasai's naked shoulder, jumping up and down Burton pointed to the starboard side of the two ships they were speeding toward. Kasai's eyes darted over to where the nef pointed and he blinked, I don't know how you...your brillant. Without giving himself time to mull it over Kasai aims and shoots, the nef had given him a pointer he couldn't refuse. Instead of trying to shoot the ship, he just needed to destroy the outer power unit that probably controlled the mesh net. For a brief moment as he opened fire Kasai wondered how on earth the nef would have known to go for such a thing.
At this rate Cin realized they would never catch the Cygen ship, seeing Kasai take out the outer power grid Cin grinned. That boy had a good idea and hell if she wasn't going to collect on it. With a brief prayer to whatever gods were out there and still listened to her Cin increased her flying speed and when they were just about the right distance, she popped the hyperspace control, an then just as quickly unpopped it. A horrible sense of Vertigo hit Cin as the ship went from real time to hyperspace, to real time again. But the effect was perfect the Warhammer appeared directly next to the Cygen vessel. Cin sighed slightly, wonderful...there really was someone listening to her still.
"Kasai take out their engines!" Cin hollared as she palmed the communication control.
In the gun bay Kasai was shaking his head and trying not to be sick, he didn't know what the hell Cin did but he was pretty sure it was some sort of dangerous and illegal manuever. Hearing her command he for a moment frowns in frustration before looking up to see the hulk of the Cygen ship almost within touching distance. Jumping in startlement he grabs the controls and shoots out the belly of the ship at close range, his heart beating a mile a minute. As he watched the power finally cut to the netting and Merci`'s ship slowly floated away.
As the gun shot out parts of the Cygen ship sparks flew through the vaccum of space for just a moment before being snuffed out in the weightlessness. Cin winced at the sound and let out a slow breath, she was trying to calm her body and the ringing in her ears. Gulping down some air the pilot stands and finally picks up the communicator to Merci` again, "There will be another small jerk and then some stabalization, we are connecting and then boarding you. And then...we will figure out how to get home." Cin kept the communicator loosely in her hand as she stalked out of the bridge. Come on boy, we have some ladies to rescue.
Kasai just nodded in response when he heard Cin in his mind, not really bothered that she wouldn't be able to hear him. Crawling out of the gun bubble his boxers were a rumpled mess he made his way rather slowly to the cargo bay as his legs tried to remember how to work.
Cin sighed and started flipping switches, ready to reel in Merci`'s stolen ship...that had definantly seen better days.

Merci's cheek was downright freezing, but it didn't stop the woman from wailing as loudly as she could. Few times in her life had she been truely terrified. but having a few inches of glass between her and certain death with a firefight in progress on the other side of that glass counted as one of the worst. Over the screams of the Nef who still clung to the curl on the top of Fauve's mask and the odd keening sound Inathe made, the crackles of Cinderfae's voice could barely be heard saying "Just sit tight we will get you out of this." Somehow those words weren't a huge comfort.
At this point Merci screwed her eyes shut, the sparks flying from the ships drew her eye and she didn't want to see what happened. Merci had no idea how dangerous the things in the other ship were but if Cinder was nervous about them then they had to be fairly evil suckers. She didn't see anything, none of the shooting, she didn't see Cinder's ship jump inexplicably forward, and she was happy to be oblivious at that moment. There were a great number of things the Kitsune hated, and being helpless was close to the top of that list, followed by self help books and people that didn't know how to clean their guns properly.
Fauve's body was pressed into the back of her guardian, her hands gripped the smaller woman's shoulders. Fauve didn't shut her eyes, she didn't want to die without knowing it was coming. She stopped screaming, and tried to see through the golden locks that were getting tossed in front of her face by the jerking of their small ship. The squeal of the Nef on her mask and her small dragon digging his claws into the skin on her shoulder faded into the backgroud as she watched through the window. She was terrified, but thoughts of death slowly retreated and she was suddenly not afraid for herself, but for Kasai. She couldn't bare the thought of him getting hurt trying to protect her. Fauve didn't even notice when the jerking and screaming had stopped, until she heard her chosen one grumble quietly.
"Fauve, you think you could let go now?" Merci's voice was hoarse and she cleared her throat. The smaller woman pushed herself away from the glass and carried her charge backward with her gently. Her heart was beating like a hummingbird against her chest, and the adrenaline wasn't quite gone. This is the part in the horror movie where you poke the corpse and it jumps up and eats your face, Merci was not going to relax until she knew it was all over. "They are going to come get us."
Fauve's eyes got huge as she heard what Merci said. SHE was a mess! How could she let Kasai anywhere near her when she looked like this. Her hands flew up to her hair and she started combing her fingers through it, trying to tie it back away from her masked face in a refined way. "You can't let him see me like this!"
Merci just chuckled slightly and Fauve's antics helped calm her nerves a little bit, but it didn't stop her from feeling wary. Things were rarely ever safe, not since she had taken responsibility for the odd blonde. Merci picked up the communicator and spoke into it, her voice still a little raw, "We're ready for you, and thank you for saving my a**, I rather like it where it is."

Cinder chuckles over the mic, "I rather like where you a** is as well, we are pullin' you in now." Cinder flips some switches and gears can be heard bringing the other ship close to the Warhammer.
Kasai runs full speed from the gun bubble, as he falls he slides against the wall and the friction rips his arm open. His mask turning into a frown Kasai touches the wound slightly, he lets the blood flow and continues to run down the hall dressed in only boxers. Part of him wondered if he should go change for Fauve, but it was a quiet part drowned out by his want to see her after so long. He bet she was angry at him...Kasai slides into the cargo bay wearing only boxers his arm dripping with blood.
"Hells boy what did you do to your arm?" Cin turns to look over at him and his arm. Sighs and shakes her head hearing a click from the outside. Hits the mic again, "Merci` you are now docked with the Warhammer, you and Fauve get over here." Cin clicks off the mic and looks to Kasai grinning slightly, "You forgot your pants," the pilot grins a little looking to the pod door that Merci` and Fauve would be coming through any moment.
Kasai flushes and looks down as he realizes he is in his boxers and that Fauve will be here at any moment. His eyes open wide and he also turns to look toward the pod door.

Merci let out a small squeal as the final shuddering thump wracked their beaten craft. They were finally docked, the Kitsune couldn't wait to get the hell out of here and back to Masquerade, or really ANY civilized area would do. She looked at Fauve and smiled at the girl frantically trying to get her hair to behave, looking for all the world like what she was, a love struck teenager. The redheaded fox woman pushed herself away from the controls and hooked an arm around Fauve as she propelled them back to the main hatch.
She was terrified, when she had started this endevor she had been sure of what she wanted. She had wanted to make Kasai regret leaving her, she had wanted him to grovel and beg for her to forgive him. Fauve had just wanted Kasai to hurt as much as she did, and cry just as hard. Now that only a slab of metal seperated them and not hundreds of light years of cold space, she didn't think she could face him again and not cry.
She didn't want him to see her cry, Fauve wanted him to think of her as a strong woman, and not the little girl he had always known her as up until now. Her sky blue eyes watched in horror as her guardian reached for the seal, and she gulped down a deep breath. She was dizzy, scared, and she wanted to hide.
The blonde heard her little dragon croon in her ear and rub his face against the side of her mask, trying to reassure her that everything was going to be alright, she just wished she could be as sure.
Merci popped the latch and let the machines do the rest, pulling back the heavy portal to allow them a breath of fresher air then they had breathed in awhile... but there was something Merci wasn't expecting.. actual.. gravity..
She wasn't far from the ground as it was but it wasn't a gentle decent to the floor either. She fell like a ton of bricks, landing on her tailed behind. In her mind she could hear her charge giggle lightly. Looking up Merci was shocked to see Fauve hadn't been fazed in the least.
The blonde winked at her and reached a hand up to straighten her hair out. 'I was an acrobat and jester Missy, don't be so shocked.' Fauve stepped over her gape mouthed guardian into the docking bay of the Warhammer. Fauve's hair fell around her masked face in a cascade of soft golden curls, and they didn't look at all as if she now understood what shake and bake chicken went through before it was cooked. She lifted a slender hand and shaded her light blue eyes from the change in lighting, and her movement disturbed the small dragon that always seemed to follow Fauve wherever she went. Inathe's wings spread and he snaked his head up and looked at Kasai and Cinder from between two of the curls in her mask. Her dress was a little worse for wear, slightly wrinkled, but dispite that she still managed to make it look good. She immediately noticed Cinderfae and Kasai. Fauve tought the pilot looked good, healthy, and dispite the recent scuffle in good humor.
But Cinderfae wasn't who she was interested in...
Kasai was standing there dressed in practically nothing, and Fauve didn't waste any time in giving him a thorough once over. She was breathless, it wasn't as if she hadn't seen a naked man before, she had seen Cern. Somehow this was different.
Merci fought her way to her feet and moved off the ship after her, grumbling and rubbing her now sore behind. "Dear GODS in heaven I am happy to be the hell off that tub..." Trust Merci to break the silence in the best possible way.
Fauve dropped her hand to her side and the Nef on her central curl chittered and settled down, sensing that the trouble was over now. The girl paced slowly over to Kasai, her eyes now locked on his arm, 'You're hurt....' Fauve stopped just in front of him and gently reached out encircling her fingers around his arm, pulling it out so she could look at it. 'You're bleeding..' She looked up from his arm and looked into his eyes. 'Let me take care of it, we have a first aid kit in the ship... She wasn't letting go of his arm, and she was standing so close that her skirt brushed against his legs.

Cinder smiled, she could hear them. It would be nice to have others onboard the ship. Her and Kasai were good at getting along but, she had to admit to herself that she had missed the kitsune. Cinder's eyes snapped around when she heard the tumble, she had forgotten to warn them about the gravity shift. The pilot winces as she sees Merci` tumble down and then her eyes widen when she notices Fauve landing gracefully. "Glad to see you two made it," Cin smiles and holds her hand out so that Merci` can use her to stay up if needed. "Hello Fauve..."her voice trails off as she watches the girl make a line to Kasai and she smiles slightly.
Kasai watched the hatch with trepitation Fauve would be here, she would be here soon and he wanted to see her. But now he realized he was in his boxers, and he liked Fauve and liked thinking of her and sometimes it was when he was wearing even less then his boxers - Kasai made those thoughts go away, he just wasn't sure what he was going to do as in right now when she came off of the other ship and saw him. Would she be angry still, would she laugh, he reaches and smooths the little bit of clothing he does have on. He hoped she wouldn't laugh, he wasn't sure what he would do if she did, as the door opens he fidgets nervously his eyes opening as he sees Fauve and then her moving toward him. She was lovely, it was obvious that the travelling had left her unkept then she liked but as Kasai watched her his worries darted off and he just stared he wondered if she was more lovely then he remembered...
Cin looks over to the two teenagers mooning over each other and chuckles pulling Merci` to her with a hand around the waist. "Merci` meh dear, it looks like those two could be happy staring at each other all day. And I don't know about you but after the firefight we just had, I need a drink. Lets let those two catch up..." Cinder pauses and looks over to Kasai meaningfully sending him a little mental nudge to get his attention. Remember... Cinder taps a box against the wall of the ship, she once kept it there for her crew members and it had never been uninstalled inside where 'snappers' they where put on the arm and then snapped, in her galaxy it was a form of birth control.
Kasai flushed under his mask getting her message his ears turning scarlet, damn you, was his message back to Cinder. No he didn't want to think of that, he didn't want to think of the talk that she had with him or all the other uncomfortable feelings that were also good but, he loses his train of thought as Fauve gets closer to him. He gulps his eyes a little wide Cinder's reminder in his head and then he realizes she is talking to him and looks over to his bleeding arm. I - I am... he pauses staring at her a moment before being able to go on, it's just a scratch I hit it on the bulkhead. We don't have to go back to the other ship for healing supplies the 'hammer is equipped. If you want...well we can go to my room so you can look at it. A small alarm seemed to go off in his mind as he continues to watch her, what was he doing! Taking her to his room as if it wasn't bad enough that Cinder had to bring that up.
Kasai looks down over Fauve drinking the image of her in with his eyes and then he realizes she is close, touching his arm. With a panic he feels her skirt brush against his naked legs and becomes very aware that he is only his boxers.
Cinder glances over to Kasai a slight smile on her face feeling his discomfort, just don't scare the girl.
Kasai looks at Cin for just a moment, damn you this is hard enough as it is...
Cinder chuckles and looks down to the kitsune, "Come on I have some vodka in the mess hall. I think those two have looking over their bumps and bruises taken care of."

Merci smiled up at the taller pilot and leaned on her, "You have no idea how happy I am to be here. I swear if one more thing broke on that ship then I was just going to open the hatches and jump ship.. With or without oxygen." Her tail swung happily as she turned and walked in step with Cinderfae. "I just can't believe we actually managed to find you out here, Fauve kept telling me what general direction to go but I had no idea if I was actually going that way." She seemed happy to talk to someone, out loud. Fauve still couldn't talk and hearing another voice was glorious.
Fauve looked up from Kasai's arm and her eyes were worried, she gave a slight nod to his words 'That would be good, I don't know how to get to your rooms so you will have to show me.' Fauve rubbed her thumb against his arm, next to the wound and she looked back down at it. 'Then I can make sure you arn't hurt anywhere else, I'm sorry you got hurt trying to protect me and Merci.'
She couldn't yell at him, when she looked into those eyes all the time they were apart didn't matter anymore. Fauve didn't know what it was about him that made it so she couldn't stay mad at him, but she just couldn't. He looked so innocent, his eyes so wide. She just started to tear up and she didn't even push his arm away to be sure he didn't get blood on her, she just threw herself on him and hugged him tightly. She stood on tiptoe, one arm up over his shoulder, the other wrapped around his waist so she could get as close to him as she could. Her voice was quiet and choked as she managed to whisper 'I missed you so much, you just left and I didn't know where you were. I couldn't find you, and then when I found out you left I was so angry, and I just had to find you. I... I just wanted you to cry like I cried.'
She trailed off and the outburst made her feel better but she was terrified to let go of him, in case he looked at her like she was crazy. For a heartwrenching moment she imagined him shoving her away from him and telling her that he had left to get away from her.
Merci glanced up at Cinder when they were well out of earshot of the kids and smirked, "So.. they are really in love arn't they?" the smaller woman sighed quietly and leaned a little more on Cinder, "I've never had that.. kinda sad when you think about it. I'm really happy for them though."

Cinder leads Merci` down the hall toward the kitchen area a slight smile on her face, the taller woman looks over to her as she hears Merci` talking. At the meantion of love she looks back over her shoulder at Kasai and Fauve, "Yes they are definantly in love..." her eyes drift down to Merci` she smiles slightly, "and you will find someone to." Cinder gives Merci` a hug around the shoulders and points to a door ahead, "there we go the mess hall. We have some vodka and plenty of food. I imagine you are starving after being stuck in a craft like that for so long." Cinder palmed the door and hit the light moving back so Merci` could go into the kitchen before her.
Kasai's throat felt dry as he watched Fauve, her hand moved over his arm and he shuddered slightly at her touch, you want to check me? the question was very quiet she probably didn't even hear it or the slight amount of panic that was in his voice. Then the next thing he knows is that Fauve was holding him, her arms are around him. His first instinct is to be worried and to move back he didn't want to embaress himself and at the moment he was only in his boxers.
But something else happened instead when she hugged him a warmth of happiness filled him up and he wrapped his arms around her in turn cradling her against him gently. I missed you Fauve, I didn't mean to run off...it is a very long story. He looks to her his eyes betraying some of his emotions, he then kisses her on her forehead his mask moving just enough so he is able to.
Kasai stands a moment just enjoy having her in his arms, his ears flush as the rest of his face does and he looks down at her. Lets go and I can show you my room...this needs to be looked at. Kasai gulps and looks down at her hoping she would let go soon, he suddenly becomes very aware that he is only in his boxers. With a rising panic he gestures to a hall off to the side that leads to his quarters.

Merci paced into the cafeteria of sorts and marvelled at the size. It was so nice to be in a place that she couldn't reach her arms out and touch both walls. Her feet carried her a fair pace into the room as she thought about a response to Cinder, "I'm glad that Fauve and Kasai are, well if nothing else then happy with each other. Hopefully he can calm her down a little bit, she gets so worked up over things." Merci's voice was distant as she talked, and she pulled out a chair to sit down gingerly in. Her bottom was a little sore from the rather ungraceful tumble she had experienced upon exiting her tiny craft. "Right now however thoughts of personal relationships should probably take a back seat. The kids won't think about how we're going to get back to Masquerade so I suppose we should. Do you have any ideas? Honestly I'm not entirely sure how I got to be here, so I have no clue as how to get back."
The Kitsune lounged back in the chair and sighed happily as she stared at the ceiling of the mess hall. She stretched out her legs and pulled the leather skirt down and smoothed it out. Her ears lay at half mast on top of her head, and her red hair fell down around her face, longer then it normally was. "Could care less to be honest, I'm just happy to have human company."
Fauve slowly let him go but she wouldn't release the injured arm, 'Kasai...' Her voice was quiet, and she sounded worried. 'Am I making you uncomfortable?' She asked this as she started walking next to him, letting him guide her toward his room. Fauve was worried, a part of her felt that she had driven him off. That he'd run away from Masquerade to get rid of her, to be away from her. The blonde teenager couldn't help but be a little clingy, she had missed him and hadn't seen him in so long that she couldn't bare to let him go.
A small voice in her head urged her to let him have his arm back. It told her that he would pull away from her and run again if she didn't give him his space.
Fauve could feel it, she could feel the panic and the sadness when she looked at him and she didn't know why. She loved him so much, she hadn't known when she had met him what the feelings where. They had met when they were just children, but she knew now what she hadn't then. Fauve knew that Kasai was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, she wanted to hold him and have him hold her, laugh together, cry together.
She knew that he was what she wanted in a partner. Ashy was her sister and she was such a huge part of her life, and that would never change. Fauve wanted to share the things she couldn't with Ash, with Kasai.
That ghost of a feeling always made her feel uneasy around him, and it drove her crazy because she didn't know why she felt that way. The masked teenager wanted to know why she always deep down thought that he would leave her....

Cinder reaches up to a cupboard and pulled down the bottle of vodka, Cinder looked over the bottle and for a moment contemplated which space port she had picked it up in, with a shrug she grabbed a few glasses as well. "As for how to get back, I have a pretty good idea." Cinder grins a little as she slides a glass over to Merci`, "That ship you rode in on might be our ticket home. I'll just need to go over to it and chat a bit with it's computer." Cinder opens the bottle and dollops a good amount of Vodka into each glass she then glances over to the cooler, "want orange juice in it?" Cinder couldn't help but continue to grin, it was great to have the kitsune here, someone to talk to...someone that she could actually hear outloud when they spoke back to her.
...uncomfortable? Kasai's mind voice squeaked in response to Fauve. Really he didn't know how to explain to Fauve that she was making him maybe too comfortable. He then retracted the thought comfortable was not really the term he would use for the way she was making him feel, then he remembered he was only in boxers. He needed to become less comfortable...or whatever this was, Dead puppies! That was it...he had to think of dead puppies so he wasn't thinking about her hand on his arm or how close she was, or how nice the brush of her skirt was on his leg...or how she smelled. Kasai closed his crimson eyes as they walked trying to think of dead puppies and not the girl next to him so he didn't embarress himself and her.
From his perch in Kasai's mask curls Burton looked down and started to chatter at Fauve angrily as if just not seeing her. Who was this girl! He could tell there was something wrong with Kasai.
Kasai blinked his eyes open and looked up relief filling him to have a distraction, Burton be nice. He then looked over to see the door to his room, Fauve...you are making me - Now mind to mind he needed to think of how to phrase the next part of what he wanted to say. Well not uncomfortable. Kasai palms the door to his room and hits the light, the med kit is on my dresser...and I should get some clothing on...pants definantly some pants.
Cinder sighed after a moment of just watching Merci` and taking in the sound of another voice, "lets take our drinks and get life support on that ship you stole working. Then I can see about getting us back to Masquarade."
