soo, since we're on a sci-fi kick in this forum, anyone like Star Trek stuff? I've only seen a couple of movies, but I watched Voyager devotedly for about 2 years and I saw episodes from a few other Trekkie shows too.

I acutally haven't seen much of the movies, but I've seen "the next gernation" and of course the original! I like the original more. Shatner cracks me up! But there's lots of cool action. I used to have a tribble, actually.

I never have really been a big trekkie. It just never appealed to me.
The one movie I DID like was the fourth one... where they come to modern-day Earth... and have to save the whales. That was a favorite when I was younger.

oh, yeah, i remember that one. it was pretty good. the mom from seventh heaven was in that one.
my favorite movie was First Contact. i just love stuff with the Borg. plus Cockren (sp?) was so funny. they thought he'd be all smart and very 'above' all the other humans, but he was so drunk half the time and all he really wanted was to make a lot of money and be surrounded by beautiful women. biggrin

I like DS9. It's got cool characters, and, more than that, it's got an arc, towards the end the episodes are connecting in one big ongoing story, and that was cool.
I wonder if Firefly would have had arcs, if it had survived longer...

Voyager brought in many new fans, due to its ne and roiginal story lines, and DS9 became a great show to wathc after Season 1, and the end of the bemused Sisco character. It had funny moments and what not. But really, the original ST series lacked, the movies however, were good.

DS9 never got the credit it deserved
but i really don't like Voyager some of it felt like it was trying to be a stra trek soap opera

OMG... I was raised on Star Trek- my dad's been a fan since it came on tv, the original!!! And since then I've seen every spinoff and film.
Then I had to go and marry a fan too... LOL don't get me wrong, I watch just for the simple fact that it's scifi. I got to get me a good fix
S'why I am such a Firefly fan ^_^
