do you think spirits (angels, demons the such) have anything to do with religon? if you do what religon do you think there accosaited with?
my oponion:
i belive in angels, but not as christianity potrays them. i am not christian, so i dont belive in their god. but i belive that angles are simply pure beings that protect us when they can and when we need it most. i also belive there are "demons" who play nasty tricks and try to annoy us. sometimes they try to take over our body (posses us) for their own personal gain. not to be "evil" but just as a survival of the fittist kind of thing.

I absolutly agree with you about saying that angels and demons etc. have something to do with religon.BECAUSE THEY DO....Some religons dont even believe in G-d.I'm Jewish so.. I DO believe in G-d. my Rav(Torah teacher) told me that angels DO exist and that they are G-ds will. They are not humas that died (or anything like that) They are something G-d created.Angel may not be the fury or fluffy winged creatures, that you think they are...No body really knows how angels look like.And even if someone saw an angel, no one has proofen it yet.(you may not believe me but that is what i believe in and that is what I was tought when i was young so that is what i believe in)(its very hard to change a persons belief after they are 7 years old)*Unless they see it with their own eyes.
P.S. Angels are NOT spirits.They are not humans that have died..dont say spirits people are going to think that you are talking about gosts and such. sweatdrop

I agree with Kira on the subject that Angels were ad never will be dead people. They are perfect beings made by God, but, each religion in itself has Angels in it. Though I have no clue what they look like, I know from personal experience that most of them have wings. AThe4 other that don't have wings are in human guises. Getting of subject here, but I belive Angels were created by God, but do not pertain to religon. Thats my opinion. =3

The idea of 'angels' is heavily tied in with religion. In Western systems, ranking and hierarchies are used. Angels are basically pure beings created by God with special tasks, many messengers. I think it's pretty much the same in Judaism and Islam.
The Baha'is have an interesting take on angels. Basically, an angel is a term for a highly developed soul who is here to aide other humans.
Winged beings go back to ancient times. The Egyptian Goddess Isis wielded wings. They are often simply symbols of the divine.
Whether true angels have wings or not, I don't know. Personally, I consider angels spirits. I believe they are a different breed, and can possibly incarnate on Earth. A different race of sorts.
I can't concentrate where I am writing this...I'll come back and research some more on this. ^^

Onm the subject of wings and things, I belive they do have them where ver they are but when they visit us on earth and make themselfs visible to our eyes, most the time they don't have the wings. The human guise comes into play, so, not all angel sightings should have them all in wings o_O, I mean a stranger on the street you pass might be an Angel or that person you help up that tripped might be an Angel. They are very ellusive, but when the time comes to give a message they seek you out.
I was wondering Kira, I think the Tora says something about Angels, correct?
I also know that many religions tie into Angels, and alot of them are ranked, in each religion they are called something different in the Phyla they belong to.

i know for a fact that angels are very tied into religions...most religions like someone above said. Angel Gabrial appears both in islamic religions (brought news to muhammad) and in christian religions (i think we all no about the story of jesus' birth). As for wings and appearence i have no idea.

My view on Angels and Religion is that well, there is a major link. I am Baptist, but I am also big into History. I have read the Da Vinci Code and seen the movie, and although I dont believe in a big conspiracy with Jesus, I do believe that the bible is very old. There is no way to know if it was altered or not.
Angels in my opinion have to be real. I have had some strange experiences in my life, that have caused me to believe in God, Jesus, and Angels. Although I cant say I trust the Bible or the Church. BUT like i said. I am not some fan of Conspiracy or anything, that is just my belief on it.

The painting the Last Super seems to depict an affemaninet man or a woman leaning away from God, making the M for marriage. Just me view on things. Yeah, the thought that JESUS might have had a wife is fascinating. But it was the DEMIURGE who trapped them in the physical, and blah, blah, blah.... xd

I thought Adam and Eve were the first sinners? I always wondered if it was the snake that Eve saw that was the first sinner, I always wondered if the snake had eatten an apple and gained insight on God. Man this feels like its going in full circle. XD
