~The Rebirth of a People~
It was early June when a charter was granted to a group of people from various back grounds to establish a satellite settlement. By December, 200 some odd settlers traversed the galaxies instructed to settle a small planet ideal for habitation, but not fully surveyed. In hopes of recovering a new world of wealth.
Some believe that those pioneers could not have been more ill-suited for the task. Encountering unpredictable dangers, and creatures never before seen in any of the far reaches or solar systems. Research suggests that at least some of the people were artisans, craftsmen, and laborers that made every effort to make the colony succeed.
By one account, they landed there because of the clear strategy and position, however others tell us it was a coincidence in crash landing. Almost immediately after landing, the colonists were under attack from what amounted to the on-again off-again enemy, known only as ROUS's and a group of felines known as Rade. As a result, in a little over a months' time, the newcomers managed to build a small civilization, houses, a commons, and what amounted to a school.
The numbers grew slowly with the events of a few crash landing arrivals of private ships. Making the people in residence a mixed pot of rather than a single people. All the while struggling to unlock the mysteries of the mysterious Masque Children.....
