A pair of navy green low rise converse rested apon the black dash of a highly polished Mazda, tapping out a rythem to a painfully loud Rammstein song. Baggy black pants draped over the legs and met at the waist with a thin whitw wifebeater and green button up, which, at the moment, wasn't buttoned at all. A black fadora rested low on his forehead, pushing his black hair further down into his eyes, which too, were hidden under a pair of green shades.
The streets of Tokyo were crouded, as usual, and it was bringing him no peace of mind. With each passing car, his upper brow seemed to twitch. He never had liked Japan, and was rather sickened even being there, though he had buisness, and was determined to finish it, as soon as he showed.
All of about a week ago, this guy recieved an anonymous e-mail, hinting at a race along the streets of Tokyo. He hadn't been interested at all, nearly deleting it on the spot having read Japan. But something odd stirred within him when he saw what the prize was, so, being of a curious nature, he decided to check it out. Thus, he sits in his car, feet on the dash, and cranks German metal music to clear his head, singing alon to the song 'Linx'.

Another young man sat in the back of a limosine, staring out the window with an apathetic expression on his face. He was highly regarded as one of the most attractive people in the country, and specifically Tokyo, but he was also known for being the son of a billionaire and racing tycoon. His father organized and sponsored everything, and his mother of course ran a successful hotel line. Typical things. Typical things that he hated to death.
For as long as the world could remember, the feminine boy had shown less than an ounce of interest in any particular subject, being in general apathetic toward most things and yet still somehow diligent in his studies. He could ride a horse, play the violin and the piano, dance, paint, sculpt, sing, and write, but the one thing he would not do was drive a car. So it was ironic that the upcoming race featured him as the prize.
A simple black car pulled up in the parking garage, next to the young man who seemed to have a fetish for green, and when the door opened, the man inside was an odd sight. Though he was not strange for the car he drove, his line of business might have suggested other clothing, since he looked like something out of MIB, and seemed to be Russian, not Japanese.
He knocked, none too gently, on the man's window.

A bit too calmly, the boy rolled down his window, looking into the dark black shades that sheilded the man's eyes. It amused him, how well he could see his refection, so, as a sign of respect, he removed his own glasses, tucking them into his shirt as his other hand removed his hat. It was a bit odd, the color of his eyes. I guess for someone who seemed to love green, it would have been natural to see green eyes... WRONG! His eyes were an odd violet color, standing out beautifly against the silky black hair that was tied back into a rather tight pony tail. His fingers traced over the small monitor that was mounted to the dash. The volume of the harsh music lowered exponentialy until it was mearly a whisper against the sounds of the streets. "May I help you?"

"I see you received my email." His voice was low, and it held a slight unplaceable accent. It was not enough that a person could not understand him, just so much that you knew it existed and nothing more. His English was rather crisp, but his voice was typically deep as a man of his size should be.
Slipping his own glasses forward a bit, he tilted his head down to look into the boy's violet eyes, reflected in the deep crimson ones. "My name is Dante."

"Hello? Paige? This is the commissioner, I want to talk about this race..."
That phone call was all but normal, and as the boy sat, donned simply in a towel and dripping hair, he listened intently, not able to even get a single word in. His eyes searched the room, rather, he was reaching into his mind, attempting to recall anything that would have suggested him knowing this person, or even how they got his number.
"This race, as you may know already, the prize is rather priceless, and we need you to get it for us... so, meet us down in the parking garage off of Tokyo's main highway, we'll send someone to meet you, and he'll give you the rest of the details. Oh, and by the way, you'll need to be there by 4pm tomorrow eavning..."
This, however, was an odd thing to request, so, his curiosity got the best of him, and he drove down to the airport, not even bothering to mention his leaving to anyone at all.

"Paige... my name's paige" His deep violet eyes stared back relentlessly, a bit questioning at first, but then softened as he turned and reached a hand into a bag of chips. It was true, never could eat jus one. "What exactly are you doing here?"

"I know." He'd been supplied with quite a few details on Paige, generally just things like his height, weight, and hobbies, but specifically about his racing record. It was kind of funny, but with the prize of this new race, the thing needed to be rigged. They couldn't risk Takami falling into the wrong hands, and with some of the scumbags entering the race, it was highly possible. At this rate, Takami would never marry, so his father took the problem into his own hands. It was also his father's effort to get the boy slightly interested in something, to be passionate instead of diligent, but it was also a way to ensure that his racing legacy lived on.
"You haven't been told much about why we need you to win the prize so badly, have you?" The 'race' was actually a series of such things, and the highest ranking at the end of each race was the one currently in charge of Takami. Not that the boy would be compliant with whomever he was handed off to. Even if he was in general apathetic, he didn't like being traded off.

He closed his eyes, trying desperatly to block out the sounds of Tokyo all around him. There were bad memories there, and it showed through his grimace as he looked away and spoke. "I guess not... that's why you're here, am I right? There's something i have to do for you, and only -I- can do it right? Possibly save a girl in distress, race against some racist pigs? You want me to kill people? What!? Just tell me so I can get out of this godforsaken place!"
His voice rose alongside his temper as the horrible memories that this city held threatened to tear him apart. His eyes flashed behind his bangs and his hands gripped hard at the slacked material of his pants. Nothing bothered him more than this place, and these people... and what they did to him...

"Boy in distress, Paige. The heir to a racing tycoon, and his place as the prize has attracted a lot of... unwanted attention." He was more professional than to call them scumbags, but that's what many of the men entering the race were. That and competing Yakuza who would use the chance and the old man's honorable word to get money for more of their bloody wars and illegal operations. Takami would get caught in the middle of it, no doubt.
He slipped a picture out of his pocket and handed it to Paige. The boy had uneven red hair and cold blue eyes, neither trait one which his family could figure out. But it had made him a little too popular to begin with, and now with a price tag attached to him, it was only making him far more desirable.
"To many of the men in this race, Takami Oni is nothing more than a collector's piece and a means to power. We need you to race in this series. It'll be your choice whether you actually take Takami as your prize at the end, but either way, you'll be rewarded."

"I have no interest in prizes.. money.. and especially not the boy..." His hands placed the green shades back over his eyes, memories flooding back like cold rain. "I'll help you... but under one condition...." The eyes under the thick frames shifted to the gas meter in his dash. "I want gas... as much as I need to win this damn thing. Fix my car up... and we're good."
Terms and conditions for racing in Tokyo were rather simple... and if one's car was up to par... then practicly no one could stop them. Paige wasn't an extremly greedy guy.. he just liked his car, and nothing more than to blow the compitition away.
"You've got three days... then the first race starts right? Count me in... if you can get the NOS..."

That was it? Simple. "Done. When you win each race, you'll have Takami until the next race. They're usually a day apart to allow for very quick repairs, but we'll take care of your car and hotel bills. Gas obviously, since it'll take at least a half tank for each race." He'd have to be good at drifting, but his record nearly proved that he was the best. Of course, that was against foreigners, not the Japanese. Either way, they'd have to see.

"So... this Kid... Takami... he's like a slave to the winners? What kind of father does he have...?" He coughed harshly into his hand, the other digging relentlessly into the black leather of his new seats.
They were rather nice seats, and he had payed a good bit of money to have the kanji for 'demon' inscribed into the driver's seat. Of coarse, and as much as he hated it, he -was- Japanese by blood. His mother had concieved and birthed him in the city of Okiado, and took him into Tokyo to be raised. Though.. things went wrong, as they usually did for half breed children.
The blue in his eyes was exchanged with a pale green, completly normal for this attitude. He cleared his throat for a moment, and silence followed. "I... would like to see my next prize."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A small boy sat, feet hanging off the edge of a large wooden porch, a small glass of tea by his side. It was about five in the afternoon, a bit cooler than usual for summer.
The boy was a light tan in color, his short black hair hanging messily in his light blue eyes. Small, dark bruises were visible all down his small arms, and in his eyes was the reflection of an older boy, roughly six feet in height, and a good bit larger than the child. Rough hands decended apon his small frame, pinning him to the porch. Not a scream, not a single plea or cry escaped the boy as he was stripped and roughly violated. Hot tears rolled down his cheeks as he struggled to stay still.
In the distance was an elderly man, the boy's new father. His hands were busy counting the money the boy had provided, not even caring in the slightest what happened to his son. There was the sound of breaking glass as the tea cup dropped to the hard floor beneath, the shatter the only noise that broke the hateful silence. Then there was nothing. Just the sound of the wind, a silent witness to these daily crimes.
"Not a slave, he's just put in the care of his winners. And his father, well... He's a trifle more difficult to explain than his son is." Which happened to worry most of his corporation, because some of the men that had entered the race were certainly large enough to do harm to a student of art like Takami. The main thing the boy had going for him was strong legs and that wouldn't last for long since he had very little armstrength. Of course, sometimes the heir could be very surprising.
Dante raised an eyebrow. His next prize? "Do you mean the boy?"
He nodded, a bit irritated by the constant run around questions and answers. Never before had he taken so long to enter a single race, and for a damned Jap at that. "Show me the boy, and I'll race, or no deal..."
