Saniya's Journal
Often, we can find peace in a place that is special to us. Whether this place is one found in nature like a forest or a waterfall, or whether it is a place of our own creation like a quiet room or an altar, we find a unique spiritual attraction to these places that calm us -- help us more closely internalize our feelings. Allowing us to heal as we must, a regenerative property that one simply can't find in a stress filled environment.

Ones happiness, self-esteem, and ability to work, are influenced greatly by the relationships that we form. A commonly held perspective, that either leads to symptoms of mental illness, is an egocentric view where one believes the best way of improving our relationships is to change other people and that other people are the source of all our problems. One great example of this harmful view is Adolf Hitler who blamed the Jewish for all the worlds ills.

It is important to realize that in order to change relationships we can only change the way we relate to others, and then others will change the way they relate to us. Friendships will only work if you are able to be yourself within them and you are likely to feel more comfortable and genuinely happy with these people. Tough they dont have to be comfortable, some very good relationships can be provocative and challenging.

Although good relationships are valuable, dont underestimate the importance of solitude; the ability to enjoy, and to find creative strength in our own company. To be at ease with oneself alone can be a source of refreshment and energy. Solitude is a necessary component of many creative activities that require us to draw from our own inner depths. Solitude is not the opposite of a good relationship. In truth if we are at ease with ourselves we will be at ease with others.

Time with oneself, and time spent as individuals with friends is vital to human development, these stolen moments allow us to distinguish our friends from our foes... Thats what Saniya's little haven has become, a place for the children to learn with each other in this strange new reallity that their homeworld has become..

Home Base
The lovely teenage water mask moved slowly beneath the security of foreign blankets, shifting on the narrow surface of the couch, she felt dizzy and weak as she blinked her aqua eyes open to survey the interior of where ever it was, that she was... tugging the blanket close she wearily shifted to sit up, slowly coming to the realization that she was at Kasai and Cinderfae's. How in Heaven had she ended up here?

Gaining her feet left her dizzy and slightly insecure, so she grasped the back of the couch and held her breath for a moment. Where was everyone? Why had she been left alone and unconscious in Kasai's home?

She struggled to Remember, but everything was slightly fuzzy arround the edges, and then it came rushing back to her, the pond.. she had slipped... and then... the wave of new memories stole her very breath... and she dropped the blanket to a pooled heep on the floor.. Kasai must have carried her back, but at the moment that didn't matter, nothing mattered as her mind raced, with the need to get out of there, to get away. Feeling oddly ill, she made the best use of new height and longer legs and spead stubbling over so slightly with her new measurements, simply eager to remove herself from the dwelling, with no care of who would miss her. She simply knew that she needed to get out.

And out she went, out the door moving through town, her chest heaving she instinctively guided herself past her chosen and a few others in the town itself, shaking and gasping as her chest ached so desperately she pushed through some undergrowth on an ill-used game trail into the woods not a hundred yards from the lake, stumbling she paid no head to where she was until finally she collapsed at the base of a rather embracing large tree.

Uncertain, of anything else she alloud her weary mind to rest once more, as her breathing leveled, she took comfort in her suroundings, and simply existed, where no-one could find her, she had no worries. She could simply exist in solitude, while her mind cleared, and she absorbed what had happened to her, and all that had changed...

Looking about herself Saniya decided that this place was actually quite comforting for her... Maybe she could come here more... to be by herself, meditate... write in her journal.
