Cross my heart and smack me dead. Stick a lobster on my head.
My name is John Crichton. I'm lost An astronaut. Shot through a wormhole In some distant part of the Universe. I'm trying to stay alive Aboard this ship. This living ship Of escaped prisoners. My friends If you can hear me. Beware If I make it back. Nothing far If I open the door. Are you ready? Earth is unprepared. Helpless For the nightmares I have seen.
Or should I stay? Protect my own And not show them. You exist
But then you'll never know, the wonders I have seen.
FARSCAPE
The story of pilot/astronaut John Crichton. Shot through a wormhole to the other side of the known universe and taken aboard Moya, a living ship.
My how it is loved. I declare, I am a Scaper, more than I shall ever be a Browncoat.

ANOTHER INTRO
Ladies and Gentlemen of the press. At 26.14 on the flight clock, we begin the major experiment of this shuttle mission.
EACH MAN GETS A CHANCE TO BE HIS OWN KIND OF HERO
Commander John Crichton will pilot a craft of his own design, in a dangerous attempt to use our planets gravity as a speed booster.
...AND WHEN IT COMES...
Slingshotting him off into space at previously un-recorded speeds.
Canavral, this is Farscape One. I am free and flying.
...IT WILL BE THE LAST THING...
John, you have to abort! ABORT NOW!
... YOU EVER EXPECTED
Eh.....Canavral?................. Canavral?.......Earth?.........Uh oh.
FARSCAPE. The PeaceKeeper Wars.

Gravel, do you use "frell" at all in normal context? In your everyday speech?
I've only seen a few episodes, and now I use the word "frell" all the time. It's funny. I was a clutz and dropped something a day or two ago, and the first word that comes out of my mouth is "FRELL!" I think I frightened some people.

I say 'Frelling' alot. I do sometimes say 'Frell', but it's normally 'Frak' which is my BSG ( Battlestar Galactica) reference. Then there's Gorram, put that is used for lesser situations.
But yeah, im always referencing Farsacpe IRL. And then I smile, and laugh, and feel all warm inside.

Referencing obscure sci-fi is fun in public... especialy with made up words. biggrin
Or just random quotes. Like if we're talking about food, I'll pop in a "Soylant Green is people...". People look at me strangely.

Of Farscape?
I haven't seen too many episodes to be a fair judge.
But, of what I HAVE seen, I did enjoy "My Three Crichtons". Because the other episodes were later in the series, and I didn't really know much of the backstory.

I haven't seen Farscape. But I think that if I did see it, I would probably like it.

GravelRanger Anyone who watches it, loves it. Except my dad. Which stinks, because we usually split the cost of buying sci-fi. (That's what we've been doing, getting the X-Files box sets). So I'm going to have to buy the series by myself.... sad Quote: scifi swearing is so much fun hehe... yep. I don't swear normally anymore. I've only used: Swear words in Latin, Japanese, Chinese, or sci-fi swearing. It's really funny... No one asks what I say anymore, because they just know I'm a freak. wink
