In a time where magic and old customs still existed, a young Welsh prince abadoned his claim to the throne and escaped into the woods. For years, humans and beings of unnatural gifts coexisted but walked a very dangerous line. Racism against magical beings was rampant, causing many to follow the young prince into the woods where they created their own colony, fit with training grounds for young students.
Although they no longer obeyed the laws of the human world, custom had managed to take the journey through the wilderness with them. When a student reached their sixteenth birthday (or its correspondence according to race), they were given the option of attending a school to magnify and hone their abilities. The school was named after its founder, the recently deceased Prince of Windsor.

 General OOC Rules

TWO.
If you have any private questions, please PM cherry peel. If she is unavailable, contact Akina Tokuwa.
THREE.
Donations *are* accepted. You may either donate directly to the guild or to the Windsor Academy mule. Please keep in mind that money given to the guild cannot be used to repay cherry peel; that money may only be used to purchase more subforums. Cherry peel paid for this guild out of her own quest fund for her devil tail, and it would be nice for her to be reimbursed. Just consider that money could have been charged to join, but cherry peel doesn't think anyone should be required to pay if they do not wish to!
FOUR.
In order to prevent a bunch of inactive, useless threads, please do not continuously recreate threads. If you can reuse a thread, please do. Basically, don't just start a thread in the hopes that someone will post back, but then if no one does, start another identical thread later inthe week. Please use the OOC forum to find someone who would like to RP and then start a thread. This will cut down on dead threads in the subforums.
FIVE.
You may have up to THREE (3) characters, but only two students (maximum). If you choose to create a new character, you must PM your new profile to Windsor Academy for approval. Then, add it to your profile page in the character bio thread. (On a side note, teachers are a must for this kind of roleplay so feel free to PM cherry peel, Akina Tokuwa, or Windsor Academy if you are interested in filling a teaching position.)
SIX.
You MUST friend the Windsor Academy mule. This is the only way for guild-wide announcements to get out, and if you do not friend the mule, you will not know what is going on with the guild or what updates are being made. Once the mass PM feature is installed by the Gaia admins though, you may de-friend the mule. If you do not comply to this, you will be removed from the guild.
IC Rules ONE.
Romance is allowed, but don't be gross. GAIA is PG-13 and to go beyond that disrespects the people who worked hard to create this community. Kissing and cuddling are allowed, but nothing beyond that. If you are truly that desperate, take it to private PMs or IMs, but do NOT post that RP in the guild in any way. There are ways to hint at sex or further activity without being explicit. One old favorite is the fade-to-black method. Be creative!
TWO.
Do NOT have OOC conversations in an RP thread. Use this main forum for OOC. If you need to tell another player something though in the middle of an RP session, just put double brackets around your text. Still, there should NEVER be a post made in an RP thread that is entirely OOC content. You can make a comment, but do not chat it up.
THREE.
The consent rule is in effect in Windsor Academy. Do not kill or harm another player without their consent, and be sure not to godmode. Everyone can get hurt. If someone is continuously godmoding in an RP thread, please PM Akina Tokuwa or cherry peel. Measures will be taken to ensure that it does not persist.
FOUR.
This is a school so there shouldn't be too much fighting. If there is, the character must be prepared to face IC repercussions, which can range from detention to expulsion.
FIVE.
The general feel and genre of Windsor Academy should be Medieval in nature. There shouldn't be any guns or mecha unless it's very simple blacksmith work.
SIX.
Though the set up of this thread may be passe, it is unique in that this is a VERY literate RP. Roleplayers who come to Windsor Academy must be prepared to make post at a MINIMUM of 5 sentences (one full paragraph) in length. There is absolutely no chatspeak or casual RP (*walks to the door* hey gurl! how r u? *smiles*). Post like this:
Sarah walked across the room in a frenzy, tears clinging to the corners of her eyes and staining her neck. She smacked John across the face with all the strength her lithe form could muster. "How could you do this to me!" she pleaded through choked sobs.
Write like it's a novel. If you refuse to RP in a literate manner, you will be ignored and possibly shunned. Each guild member will be given three warnings, but past that, you will no longer be able to post in this thread.
SIX.
Also, not all races are allowed in this RP. The following creatures are on the approved list:
Elves
Magically-gifted humans
Humans
Dwarves
Half-elf/half-nonmagical human, Half-dwarf/half-elf, two-thirds human/one-third elf, etc. (Basically, any combination of the four approved races is okay.)
A special request can be made for other creatures, but Windsor Academy reserves the right to reject any species that they do not want at the school without having to justify the decision.
SEVEN.
*IMPORTANT* If you start an RP thread in the dormitory subforum, but your characters decide to go out to the practice field, do NOT continue RPing in the dormitory subforum. Instead, start the trip to the practice field and then at the bottom of your post, include: "CONTINUED @ _____" and include the URL of the *new* thread in the Outside the Castle subforum.
EIGHT.
Have fun! Roleplay is only as fun as what people put into it so feel free to create subplots and complex relationships. And if you ever think you have an idea for metaplot, PM the Windsor Academy mule. It might not ever happen, but suggestions never hurt!

The Grounds 
-Any OOC discussion goes in here. That includes hangout threads, RP requests, advertising, or anything you wish. Do not RP in the main forum!
G, M, MC, and K - dormitories subforum
- dormitories for the students. Anyone can walk into the main foyer, but to get into the living areas, students must stand before the door and say their name. It opens only to their registered voice.
- Any RP that occurs within any of the four dormitories goes here. Once you leave the dormitory, please switch subforum.
Outside the Castle - subforum
-Any RPing that occurs on the grounds of the Academy goes here. If you're visiting the nearby village, exploring the woods, or going to the practice field.. it goes here.
Inside the Castle - subforum
-Any RPing that occurs in any building other than the dormitories goes here. That includes classes (except survival skills or another outdoor class), visits to the Headmaster, or dining hall. Any RPing inside Windsor Castle or the Victoria A. Linvea building occurs here.
