Soaring over the forest with grace and precision, Aurorealis darted into a small clearing to land. He liked to soar over this area, especially since it was so beautiful, well most of it was. The stallion snorted as he landed and he glanced around the area. Hm. Quiet...
Recently, he had settled comfortably into a teepee with a two-legger and another soquili, who he thought was rather annoying. Though being quiet and polite, he said nothing. He was grateful to have somebody to stay with since he was so far away from where he was born. Ocassionally he thought back on it and wondered how everybody up there was faring. Aurorealis knew in his heart that he probably wouldn't see them very soon. He had a mission that needed to be done...

It may have been quiet at that very second, but it wasn't going to stay quiet for long! Rain was in a good mood, as always, and she was up for kicking her heels high into the air. She loved to feel the wind flying through her hair, and what better day to do it than everyday?
Letting out a joyful nicker she pounded her feet harder and faster into the ground, not paying attention of anything for once in her life. Normally she was alert, but on such a nice day like today what could go wrong?

Ears flickering slightly, Aurorealis heard something in the near distance but made no move. The pitch dark soquili glanced around, the sun was beginning to set but there was plenty of day out. His long luxurious mane and tail flickered back and forth as he moved through the tall grass. He stretched his wings lazily and wondered where Chitsa was. That unusually hyper mare always seemed around wherever he went.
He continued to move around the clearing quietly, gazing at the birds that flew overhead. Even though outwardly he seemed like a compassionate soquili, he oddly showed no emotion.

Of course, when one is not paying any attention, they don't look where they are going. Such was the case with Rain, for at the moment that the black Soq had arrived Rain had closed her eyes and put on a burst of speed.
. . . needless to say, collision was almost immenent.

The stallion didn't see her until it was too late. He was pushed back a few feet as she collided into him. Fortunately, not much harm was done to him since he was used to things running into him. For the first few days of his arrival, Chitsa had probably run into him a total of 20 times, some accidentally and some... not so...
He was more worried about her then himself, since he knew he was sturdy. "Are you ok?" He had a rather concerned tone of voice and gazed at her with pure golden eyes.

Rain had never been good with running into things. She wasn't the strongest of mares, but she sure could run, so on collision she fell to the ground with a thud, bruising her side. She grimaced, but chose to try and hide any pain she felt and quickly got back to her feet.
She gave the male a sideglance before examining any damage the fall may have given her. "No I'm fine," she determined after a moment, then her brain switched into gear.
"I'm terribly sorry! I should have payed more attention! I didn't hurt you did I?" Her eyes easily showed her worry, if it was only slight.

"No, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I'm fine, are you sure you're alright?" Aurorealis' voice didn't correlate with his expression. He had a concerned tone but he showed no emotion in his eyes or his face. It looked rather awkward. What a way to start a conversation, very awkward indeed... He stood there, summing up the mare quietly.

Rain cocked an eyebrow at him questioningly. He seemed like a very confused Soquili to her. "Yes, I'm sure and it was no fault of your own, really." Now that she wasn't in shock or trying to apologize Rain had a chance to get a proper look at the Soq. He was a fine specimin, with the rainbow standing out against the black.
What intrigued her most were his wings. It wasn't though she hadn't seen wind Soquili before, but his were particularily stunning at the tips. She snapped back into awarness short thereafter. "I'm terribly sorry. I'm so rude. I'm Rain and you are?"

Unfortunately for the stallion, he seemed to do that with a lot of soquili. And even more unfortunate was that he couldn't control it. He had just learned, not to show facial emotions. They were pointless in his eyes, maybe someday he would finally show some emotion besides from his voice...
"I'm glad you are unharmed. I go by Aurorealis." He gave a curt bow and stood back up. "How might a mare like you be on this fine day?"
