I haven't read those but I did read the Midnighter's trilogy, and another book he wrote but I can't think of the title now. (Its So Yesterday I looked it up) The Midnighters trilogy was ok (i wouldn't buy it, i got from the library). So Yesterday was really good though.

when i was reading Specials and the part of the battle at Deigo and the part after when she was really confused about life, i was so sucked into the book that i too became really confused about life <--i know that sounds corny, but its true...

i read the trilogy and enjoyed it throughly. Does anyone know what the lifespan of a Speical is?

SPOILERS!!
i loved that series. i read all 4 books:
uglies, pretties, specials, and extras
i couldn't put it down.
i even got my mom to read it and she loved it
but she got so pissed when Zane died
i actually got all teary eyed for that.
but in extra's when tally finally lets herself be with david

Plot of the first book
In the future when you turn sixteen you get extreme plastic surgry that will make you beautiful and biologically a person who looks like they need to be taken care of. All you do is party, drink, sex, and the lot.
This follows a girl who is about to become a pretty. She knows how to sneak around and becomes frightened over the prospect of becoming a pretty because it also alters your personality. She leaves the city to hopefully find her friend who ran off into the wild.

I liked the concept of it. Wasn't really thrilled with Extras, but what can you do?

I really liked it, though I agree that Extras wasn't as good. I think it's the best set he's written, though Midnighters was good too.
