~*~ Here are the rules and guidelines of the Exchange! ~*~
No. 1: The main Exchange is for the selling/buying of items ONLY. Selling/buying is fine, but the main focus of your thread MUST be for these purposes. Holding lotteries, hosting contests, or managing charities yet selling a Dried Grass Skirt in a post to keep it "legal" will not work. The focus of your thread is not on the sale of items; it's on something else. Threads will be moved to the proper forums on a case-by-case basis.
No. 2: The title of your thread should relate to what you are selling. If you post a title such as "Selling a Halo!", but in fact you are not ("Sorry, I wish! Selling a hockey mask!"), this is considered title spoofing and is warnable by a moderator because you are intentionally misleading other users into your true intent.
-White text, just as misleading, is also not permitted if it is used in conjunction with title spoofing.
-However, this means that threads simply titled "Selling!" or any other derivative are fine. You are not misleading users with what you are trying to do.
No. 3: Advertising in other users' threads is not allowed. This is a form of unwanted solicitation as well as spam. Both are against the Terms of Service of Gaia. If reported, you will have your post removed from the forum and a warning issued.
No. 4: If a thread started off as one thing but becomes spammy in later pages with no relevance to the sale itself, it will be moved to the Chatterbox forum depending on the spam. This includes "I'm leaving Gaia" threads. If all you're going to do is converse with friends, please take it elsewhere.
No. 5: The following belong in the Wanted subforum of the A.A.I.S.
- Seeking to purchase a certain item from a seller
- Offering X amount of gold for whatever sellers may offer you
- Seeking a certain item through a trade - "Item X for Item Y"
No. 6: The following belong in the Charity/Quests/Lotto subforum of the A.A.I.S.
- Asking for donations
- Asking for a gold or item loan
- Questing (shops with quest posts are exempt from this because their main focus is the sale of their items)
