She was just going to go get a book or two.
Or at least, that was what Kimiko had intended to do that day. It was bad enough she hardly knew the language, aside from what was not-so-affectionately referred to as 'fangirl' Japanese, even though there were some folks out there who were able to help her. No, what made it worse, in her opinion, was that she had somehow managed to doze off on the train, effectively missing her stop. Her sense of direction was poor enough to begin with.
And what an odd dream, realistic at that. In some pseudo Alice in Wonderland inspired twist, she had come across a rabbit. Only, well, it wasn't white. Nor did it talk, or carry a pocketwatch. Perhaps it wasn't Wonderland at all, really; she owned rabbits back in America, after all, but still, rather freakish when the critter apparently merged with her.
Such a strange dream, and then she had woken up, finding that the train had stopped at the station after the one she was going to get off at. Frowning at the sudden increase of volume concerning the hustle and bustle of everyone, the young woman sighed, and got off at this stop, figuring that walking would be a much better method of getting around, somewhat.
Then again, there was that lingering sense of paranoia she had with being out in public on her own. What if she lost her way again? Or was abducted? Shaking her head to clear these thoughts, the brunette quickened her pace, almost at a run, really. In any case, faster than she usually could manage.
Oh well, anything to get her to her destination faster. Kimiko would worry about that dream later.
