Purin thumbed through the small collection of bills she had "earned" during her day of performing. The zoo had always been one of her favorite places. People there were happy and liked watching her, usually. And she got to see all the animals, which made it even better! But they were going to close in a few minutes, and she had to leave. Reluctantly she waved at the monkeys, several of which waved back, chattering at her. Spirits restored, she turned and started towards the gate.
And promptly tripped, falling on her face.
"Hey, what did that?" she asked, looking behind herself.
A large orb was stuck to the ground, making a neat sandwich of floor, orb, and feet. It was blueish and greenish, with several strange designs on it. It certainly didn't look like much, and certainly not enough to trip anyone. How it got there was also a mystery.
Purin considered this. "It's pretty," she finally decided, picking the foreign object up. Looks weren't everything though, and it seemed to have no obvious use. If nothing else, maybe it would be good to eat! With a slight grin, she took a lick of the gooey substance coating the orb.
"EWWWW! Yucky yuck!" No matter how much she spat or scrunched her face, Purin couldn't get the taste out of her mouth. Frowning, she tossed the orb into some bushes nearby and hurried off to buy some candy with a bit of the money she'd made. Hopefully THAT would get the taste out.
The orb simply waited, obscured by bushes. Of course, those would present little difficulty for the one meant to find it.
