Ever wonder if you really saw a Penguin skuttle by out of the corner of your eye, or maybe you love a certain type of animal and you don't know why. Well I'm here to tell you, that certain animal that you like is your totem animal or as some like to call them a power animal.

Your born with Spirit Guides, from birth to now you still have them and from now to death you will still have them.

Totem Animals

In any case it can be any animal, any bug, even mythical creators such as Dragons, Unicorns, Mermaids, Fairies, est.

You will be visited by many animals at a time, sometimes even a large group of four or five at a time, which has happened to me. But once they help you with something they leave, one will stay with you constantly and that will be the main animal.

You may carry attributes of said animal, like me, many of my friends said I reminded them of either a large cat or a wolf because even with a few friends I would go off on my own. I would do things alone, but like the wolf I'm a family person and love the company very much. I even act like a wolf now and then, holwing to the moon or holwing when I'm in or near the forest, it feels like it connects me to White Wolf.

With time you will know who your animal is and maybe even a name, they may talk with you verbally or telepathically irl or in your dreams. It depends on when they want to show themsefls to you and when you finally realize you have that animal with you always.

I want to know if you have a Totem/ Power Animal, maybe you have many or maybe a few. I want to know if you think you have one, its a good chance that you will. ^_^

Butterflies. I see them EVERYWHERE...sometimes, nobody else can see them, though. And they appear most when I need support--I had one land on my shoulder and nose recently. And in dreams, sometimes they will come and guide me away from those who pursue me... heart

Thats your main totem animal, it shows you the right paths to take and knows when to help you when you need it most. ^_^ Heres a bit o about your animal.

Transmutation, Dance of Joy

The butterfly is the symbol of change, joy and color.
It is the symbol of the soul.

They remind us that life is a dance,
not to take things quite so seriously.
They also remind us to get up and move.
Dance brings the sweetness of life.

Butterflies bring color and joy to your life.
Look at them and remember what joy is in your life,
if its a lot or a little, it is still joy.

They teach us that growth and transformation does not have to traumatic;
it can occur gently, sweetly, joyfully.

If a butterfly totem has shown up in your life,
make note of the most important issues in your life,
and see what needed to changed.

Aww, thank you for posting that for me! *heart* I thought it was odd for me to take a seemingly-sudden interest in butterflies like that. However, I recently moved, and went through my old elementary school papers. You see, due to some events, almost all of my memories from before I was 15 years old are completely locked away. I always sound so dramatic saying that, like those soap operas where everyone gets amnesia. Hee hee. But, apparently the butterflies weren't so random afterall. I found page upon page of drawings, and that helped jog a stream of memories--I'd spend recess chasing after them, an playing with them *gently, of course, not touching their wings*. And I had TONS of jewelry, and my diary was a butterfly picture, even.

It's nice to find my main totem animal. heart

I'm also very connected with angels, but I don't think that fits in here. xd

That would be one of your totems, but your main totem will be connected with you. It'll feel like he/she is your kinsmen. Just to help you along I have something on the tiger as well. Hope you enjoy. ^_^

Passion, Power, Devotion

The Tiger is the symbol of darkness
and the new Moon.

When a Tiger totem enters your life,
expect new adventures.
It will awaken new passion and power.

Tiger people do their best work at night.
They are very sensual and passion people and devoted parents.
Your best work will be done at night.
Tigers are associated with water and have all the properties of the element of Water –
healing, power through gentle flow, feminine energies.

In China, there are 5 mystic tigers:
The red tiger is south, summer and fire,
the black tiger is the symbol of north, winter and water,
the blue tiger is east, spring and vegetation,
the white tiger is west, autumn and all metals,
the yellow tiger is ruler of the Earth and its energies

I have many!

Crows are always nearby and a breeding pair even moved onto my property to be near me. I used to see them when I was riding on a trail. When their land turned into a housing development they had to move. I first heard them tapping at me through the skylight of the barn. Those birds are now deceased by their family still lives here. The flock has become immense! One pair lives in a tree right by my horses corral.

Grizzly Bears - this one I share with my dad.

My Cherokee family totem is the Wolf.

I've also always been horse crazy and have been able to communicate with them mind to mind for as long as I've been around them.

My Cherokee family totem is the Wolf.

I've also always been horse crazy and have been able to communicate with them mind to mind for as long as I've been around them.
You've got quite the lot of totems just like I had at first, lets see now I know I have some things on these animals...

CROW

Keeper of the Sacred Law

Crows are the keepers of the Sacred Law
and to have a Crow totem is very powerful.

Personal Integrity are your watchwords
and your guide in Life.
If you have a Crow totem, your prime path
is to be mindful of your opinions and actions.
You must be willing to walk your talk,
to speak your truth and to know your life's mission.

Crow is a omen of Change.
Crow lives in the void and has no sense of time,
therefore, it sees past, present and future simultaneously.
Crow merges both light and dark, both inner and outer.
It is the totem of the Great Spirit
and must be respected as such.

They are symbols of creation and spiritual strength.
Look for opportunities to create and manifest the magic of life.
Crows are messengers calling to us
about the creation and magic that is alive in the world today
and available to us.

BEAR

Deep in slumber, dreams unending,
Wise old bear, patient, strong,
Send me dreams of transformation.
Grant me intuition along
With introspection of my life,
Inner listening, no more strife.

Caution, Healing, Leadership

The power of the Bear totem
is the power of introspection.
The answers to all our questions
lie within us.
Each of us has the capacity to quiet the mind,
enter the silence and know.

Just as the bear hibernates during the winter,
people with a Bear totem will be quieter
during the winter months. But they
must awaken in the spring and seek
whatever opportunities are around them.

When you have a Bear totem,
you are being guided to a leadership role.
You must be fearless in defending your beliefs.

The Bear also encourages you to exercise
your abilities as a natural healer.

Bears are associated with trees which are natural antennas, linking the heavens and the Earth.
Bear also has links to the seven color rays of the Universal Light
as well as Lunar ties, linking the subconscious and the unconscious mind.
It is associated with the Goddess Artemis.

WOLF

Intuition, Learning, Spirit

This totem brings faithfulness, inner strength
and intuition when he enters our lives.
But he also brings learning to live with one's self.
The wolf teaches us to learn about our inner self
and to find our inner power and strength.
But to achieve this, we must take risks
and face our deepest fears.
A wolf totem demands sincerity.

This totem demands a lot of us
but gives us much in return;
a spirit helper that is always there to help
and gives us extraordinary powers of endurance.
He reminds us to listen to our inner thoughts
and trust our insights.

They remind us not to waste resources a
nd to learn how to avoid trouble and confrontations.
People with Wolf totems have the capacity to make quick and firm emotional attachments.
Trust your insights about these attachments. Wolf will guide you.
Take control of your life with Wolf’s help and do so with harmony and discipline.

HORSE

Travel, Power, Freedom

Horses are symbols of freedom.
This totem brings new journeys.
It will teach you to ride in new directions and discover your own freedom and power.
Guide to overcoming obstacles.

The Horse is the symbol of Wind.

Horse people are usually friendly and adventurous.

If a horse has shown up in your life, you must ask yourself:
"Am I feeling constricted? Do you need to move on or allow others to move on?"

Horse will teach you how to ride into new directions to awaken
and discover your own freedom and power.

We seem to share a common totem but I'm not sure if he is your main spirit animal, Wolf or rather Snow Fall is my main totem. I to am Cherokee but also Black Foot, I'm a mixed Indian but its nice to know there are others out there who share some of my heritage. ^_^

I also hope you enjoyed all I have put up here for you Gem, you have many wise totems and always listen and respect those animal spirits because they love you and want you to learn. Also talk more with the horses, they have much to teach you. ^_^

Thank you for all the info. I know that must have taken quite a bit of time for you to work on that. heart

The wolf isn't my main one - more of a family thing.

Bear is my main one.

I do find it interesting that I have a spirit guide that also takes the form of a coyote. I'm sure he is much more of a spirit guide, though.

Yes it dose take some time for me to write it but I find it enjoyable for those who want to learn what their animal means and why they are in there lives to begin with. I love to tell and teach a little about what I know from reading and personal experince. =3

Hmm Coyote seems to be a bit of a trickster like Fox, but I'm sure as well that it might just be a spirit guide taking the guise of an animal to get your attention.

I've met others who have said their main animal is wolf, but I'm not so sure about that. But then again who am I to judge when my animals pick me of their own will. I get the impression that your animals picked you as well. ^_^

What kind of info do you have about dogs? That is definately my son's totem. He's had an affinity with them since we brought him home from the hospital. We used to even call him "puppy".

As a matter of fact I do have something on dogs ^_^

DOG

Faithfulness and Protection

The Dog is a symbol of the small becoming the great.
People with this totem have great spirit
and a great ability to love.
It takes a lot to break a dog spirit.

People with a Dog totem are usually helping others or serving humanity in some way.
Dog medicine embodies the loving gentleness of best friend and the fierce energy of protector.
You will have a deep understanding and compassion of human shortcomings.

Study the quality of the breed of dog that has entered your life:
is it a hunter, a protector, a companion, playful?
Each of these qualities will give you insight into the qualities needed for your own life.

A Dog totem is a great spirit booster.
