((Well, here I go. Guess it can't hurt to try. Never RPed a Soquili, but there's a first for everything!))
The amythest soquili was walking around a lake, wondering what to do. She wanted to meet others, but there was no one to be found. She walked a little closer to the lake, letting her hoofs wade in a little, feeling the refreshing water on her fur. Her silver eyes darted all over the large lake, looking for signs of life. There was nothing but bugs and fish. She gave a small sigh.
"Though, if there were others, how would I respond to them?" She asked herself. She began thinking of different things to talk about if she ever were to meet another. She stopped walking after awhile and gazed at the calm clearing. A bird flew by the trees that surrounded the lake.
Soon, though, the soquili had the sudden urge to break from the peacefullness and to just gallop around. She didn't fight that urge, and gave in, galloping at full speed around the lake, letting out all her joy. She really did like to run, and could never get enough of it. Sure, she enjoyed calm and peacefullness, but there were always those times when she'd just rather run her heart out.

The Amethyst Soquili took her mane with a smile as her eyes came to rest over the valley. What? No royal Greeting? The mare snorted softly and pawed at the grass. Her braided mane caressed her neck as she gave an apprasing look over the valley. Never mind them, then.. they would all know who she was soon enough.
Royal purple accsented with silver in the sea of green as her hoove beats brought her safely across the country side. She reared herself up, her hooves pawing at the sky itself. "Fools!" she cried in rage, yet she kept her tongue. The mare gave a toss of her head again, her braids almost coming alive in this simple movement of grace. Her horn caught the sunlight as she shook her head. How could they not welcome her with open arms, she was Royal!
Her purple coat seemed to bristle with her irritation as she glanced over the tall green grass. A smirk crossed her face as her tail lightly, ever so softly brushed the ground. They would know soon enough. Her eyes sparkled as she continued on her journey, through the valley to the mouth of the forest.

(She's my fav. so I'm gonna try... whee )
Amethyst woke with a jump. She'd had the strangest dream. Over and over she had been hearing a call for help but no matter where she ran to she couldn't find where it was coming from. This bothered her, since it was in her nature to want to help anyone in distress. After a moment of silence, the vibrant violet mare rose to her feet. She decided it best to take a stroll in the twilight of the morning to clear her clouded mind...
The mare followed gracefully along the shore of the river, her horn and silver markings glimmering slightly in the minimal amount of dawn's light. She had just rounded a bend in the river when she heard a familiar sounding cry for help. It was just like the one from her dream. She reared up, following the call as swiftly as the spirits could guide her. Much to her surprise she actually was able to track where it was coming from.
Before her she found a small rabbit, it's hind leg trapped benieth the weight of a large rock. Without question, Ame made haste in freeing the creature. It squinted up at her, clearly still in pain as Amethyst bent her horn down to the poor rabbit's foot. She had meant to check to see how badly it was injured when all of a sudden, the rabbit's ears perked up and it found itself able to hop away. Amethyst just stood there, smiling, as the now liberated creature fled back towards its home happily. One more good deed done.
It made her happy to live up to her name...after all, the Amethyst represents the power of the spirits through dreams and healing.

((Well...I guess i'll try.))
She had never been sure who her parents were. She had never really figured out how she had come to this world and she didn't know her own name. Her amethyst colored fur shined in the sun as she walked to a nearby stream and drank deeply. She had been on the move for quite some time. She didn't know why. She had always been searching for something. She often thought she was searching for her parents or an owner, but she also felt like she wanted more.
She took a deep breath after drinking and trotted into a close field to eat before leaving again. She had never been a part of a herd and she often thought that she wouldn't fit in with any others. She wouldn't let herself. She always thought that if she enjoyed something it might be taken away from her like her parents had been taken away. She knew they existed; they had to. After that she began her journey. She was happy to be by herself sometimes but she hated being completely by herself. But she knew she wasn't. She could hear the birds singing in the trees and she whinnied happily to them. She ran into the forest and chased the butterflies and enjoyed the company of all of the creatures.
When she was done having fun she turned around and went West. She always went West. She somehow always knew where that direction was. She felt like something was waiting for her in the West. As she galloped along, the wind whipped her mane and tail around. She came to a big hill overlooking a big clearing and she stood on top of it looking down pretending that others were there. She did this often when she came across spots like this. Somewhere in her heart she knew she would find whatever it was she was looking for, even if it meant she had to circle the world she would find it.

((I will give it a shot.))
Amethyst gracefully trotted around an open clearing in a field after the sun went down on a summer’s night. She looked around her and saw something shimmering in the moon light next to a group of long grass. She curiously walked over to the where the shimmering was coming from in order to see what produced the beautiful light.
As she got closer to the object she saw that it was a purple gemstone. Enticed by the beauty of the stone she lowered her head slowly and gently picked it up. She loved the stone so much that she took a piece of strong grass and wrapped it around the stone creating a pendent.
She gently place the pendent around her neck and walked over to some near by water to see how it looked on her. Amethyst loved how it match her so well that from that night on she vowed never to take it off. Everytime Amethyst passed water you could always see her looking at her pendent.

She was traveling along the cliffs towards the lake.It had been a long lonely time, until she had heard the sounds of the others. She had hidden and watched them at times, being so differnt. And then she saw some of the others, that told her she was not so different afterall.Emboldened by this she decided to go be around the others for awhile. That is how she found herself along the cliffs, and trying not to look over at the sheer drop to her right side. Not be certain of the outcome, she did not wish to find out by falling. The hawk did not help. She could not figure out why it followed her.Or she decided, when their paths would go seperate ways.Even if it was a creature of flight,it still held on a path. She could not remember anything past a couple of days before.Though it really did not register to her this simple fact, she was alone, had no memory of her days before two days ago,and had a hawk tailing her. Wondering about it all, almost lead her over the cliff. She came to herself as she stood there looking over the edge.Had she stepped one foot over, she would have fallen and found out what happened with a fall from the height of the sheer cliffs. She was alone, well almost, and wandering. The hawk flew down in front of her and then away. She wondered if it had been trying to warn her of the edge of the cliff. Elven

Maeve looked at her reflection in the still lake, and smiled as she dipped her tail in the water to make it ripple. She watched the rings of water move outward eventualy turning into nothing. "Am I to share that fate?" Maeve spoke to her reflection. "Will i grow so grand and then dissappear without a trace? To be forgotten, just another ripple in the water of time." Her face turned from concern and sorrow to a look of strength. "Not I." With the grace of a syrin dancing in the water she walked away from the lake's edge. "I will become so grand as the moon itself . To be placed among the stars, and remembored forever."
She did not see herself as 'evil', but like any mortal she longed for life. Each day only has 24 hours in wich to do something worth being remembered for. Then that thing may only be remembered for a short time. Maeve searched for the one thing to ultimately make her immortal, not in body, but in spirit. Like the mighty Achilles remembered for his strength and valor in the battle of Troy.
(well i tried my best...i just hope it was good enough)

((*was inspired by http://www.gemstone.org/gem-by-gem/english/amethyst.html *))
The mare walked gracefully along the lake, holding her head high. She had to admit it was a beautiful day, though that was not necessarily a good thing. That meant there would be other Soquilis running about being merry, and they would probably expect her to join in their silly little games. She hoped the spirits would warn any young foals and young at heart that It was getting harder and harder to explain to them that she was the wrong Soquili to play with.
She had no use for merriment and frivolity; she had much more important things to think about, like the important questions of the world, the spirits...questions of LIFE and EVERYTHING! Of course, trying to explain this to the others only brought about sarcastic or silly answers that couldn't possibly be true.
The worst part was, she couldn't think evil of those who interrupted her thoughts. Oh, she had disliked the teasing, and she had disliked the constant badgering of her to play, but whenever she tried to think of a way to really tell them all off, it vanished as quickly as a raincloud on a sunny day. She sighed and stared at her purple reflection in the water. "How am I supposed to truly reason out the answers to life if I cannot figure out what is wrong with me?"

The purple coated mare smiled as she looked into the dark abyss of the water. She wasnt a water Soquili, nor did she fancy water much. But her mother had said something of the water. Saying it was ruled by merpeople and the world under there was so different, that Merpeople did not believe in life above land. She had wondered all her life it was true. She wasnt sure, but her little body ached with the thought of going down there to look.
Unfortunately, luck had dealt her a nasty unfair card. Her health wasnt as well as it should be. Her heart didnt beat like normal, and her mother called it a murmur. It was a birth defect that plauged the mare. She was beautiful, and hid the illness well. But she couldn't hide it away. It was impossible. She was not allowed to dive down into the depths for fear of death would follow. So her eyes stayed tuned on the waters surface hoping for a peek of the forbidden fruit she could not taste. She looked at the water..and waited..
(I hope it's okay I gave her a birth defect. I wanted to be different)

((Only three? xD;; I hope it's okay if we do more.. <<))
The wind left the scent of flowers in it's wake this day, the clouds retreating too high to see them, leaving the open sky an endless sea of blue. A few birds chirped happily among the tree tops, the sound echoing to the declicate, relaxed purple ears of a unicorn. Her silver toned eyes scanned the trees, a smile playing across her face as she watched them.
What a beautiful day, the graceful mare thought as she rested beneath a large willow tree. The long leaves seemed to surrond her as she sat, framing her beautiful form with sunlight. She smiled at the warmth of the sun upon her face. With one fluid movement she was on her feet, trotting delicately towards the sparkling stream that ran through the plains. When she walked she seemed to almost float, her steps soft and silent.
As she dipped her mouth to drink she caught a glimpse of a small red bird beside her, crying out with worry. A look of concern crossed her face, and she nuzzled the fledgling with a motherly tenderness. "There there, don't worry young one." She said softly, her voice smooth and creamy. The little bird settled down and watched her with wide eyes.
Atalanta lifted the hatchling delicately with her horn, letting him rest atop the smoothest part. She stood for a moment, and closed her eyes, listening. She became one with nature in that instant; a special gift she possesed. She became one with the land, the trees, the sky, and she pinpointed the worry of the mother bird, the trees feelings washing through her. She opened her silver tinted eyes and set the baby bird gently back with his mother, smiling softly. "Now you are safe, little one. A word of wisdom to your ear; seeing the world is wonderful, but seeing your home is priceless."

The gem-dappled Soquili gently trotted through the long blades of grass, careful not to trample a quickfooted rabbit or scurrying bug. After all, who was she to harm one of the Creator's creatures? She smiled softly as a frail butterfly fluttered by her, before being blown up by a small gust of wind.
Amethyst sighed softly, continuing to walk through the grass. She pondered a question she'd been asking all her life. Why had the Creator blessed her with such beauty? Fortunately, the mare was very kind and often shy to others, which made her an ever greater delicacy to one's eye. As she watched a ladybug crawl up a blade of grass to another ladybug, another question badgered her. Why was she alone if the Great One had given her such beauty that no mare could hold a candle to it?
Perhaps it is a curse... she thought to herself, coming to a small pond. In it were little frogs and tadpoles, as well as little red dragonflies. Amethyst watched for a moment, as a large spider crawled down a leaf to watch the water for any foolish creatures wishing to become it's lunch. The mare suddenly whinnied loudly as a helpless tadpole was caught in the spider's long, sickly thin legs. "Let it go!" she cried, even if the spider had no ears. It dragged the still wriggling creature to the shore, where an immaculately white sac of eggs could be seen. Amethyst's eyes widened. The spider had no real intention of killing it for pure pleasure; It had a family to care for. Perhaps.. one day... she herself could care for a family?

With a slight breeze, a mist of water from the roaring waterfall sprayed her slightly. The Amythest Soquili snorted and shook her braided mane. Well, that got rid of the that, she thought. The evening light breezed over her coat, cloaking her in rippling shades of purple. She looked down at the lake of clear, crystalline water at the base of the waterfall and gave a whinny of satisfaction. Without warning, a rustle in the distance interrupted her survey.
She perk up her ears and listened intently. Now what could that be? It seemed to be coming from somewhere upriver. With a flick of her tail and another shake of her mane, the soquili wheeled around and galloped towards the source of the rustle.. The rustling grew louder and louder, and finally she stopped. Hardly panting, she narrowed her eyes and peered forward. The sun has slept and the first of the stars twinkled from the night sky. She spotted two rugged-looking men, dumping..alcohol? They intoxicating the water for the forest!
Her nostrils flared at this indignity and her eyes narrowed further. The soquili charged through the forestry, and with a great, fearsome neigh, reared up high on her hind legs. She brought her two front legs back down with a loud thud and pawed menacingly at the ground. The two took one look of her, gulped and took off as fast as their legs could carry them whimpering for their mother. Feeling that she's been humiliated by this idiotic act, the Soquili started after the two men before she caught herself. The water! I cannot let the creatures in the forest be intoxicated by their water source! One glance at the slightly reddish water told her all she needed. The soquili gently stepped into the cool water and bending low, touched the tip of her silver to the water. In an instant a burst of silver and purple light spread through the water cleansing it of any traces of alcohol, the water pure again. Giving a whinny, she stepped off the river and galloped to her place at the top of the highest cliff, next to the waterfall again. After all, that seems the place for the Royal Guardian for purity and life....The Amythest Soquili

The wind whistled through the canyon, blowing memories as well as thoughts inside it's channels and grooves. One who added to those memories and those thoughts stepped beside the lip of the canyon and looked into it. The wind caught the bottom of the beutiful silky royal purple mane and tossed it's braids along as far as they could go. She snorted at the wind as it blew a leaf into her eye. The Soquili shook her heaf, watching the leaf fly away with the force of her shake. It was fragile and graceful, and reminded the soquili of herself at sometimes.
With a decisive nod, the Soquili turned away from the canyon and trotted off, not really sure to where she was headed to, she ust wanted to feel free and at peace, which was what this alone time was giving her. It felt soothing to her as the soft smells of grass and soil filled her nose, and the sweetness of the water on her tongue.
Somtimes the soquili loved to be with others, running and playing like a child, but every so often she needed a break from society. But perhaps it was time for her to return, she was feeling much better, and more able to think clearly. When she looked up, she saw the leaf fluttering away, and knew what she had to do.

The sun beat down upon the amethyst coat of an equine who's eyes were laid upon a small young bird laying alongside a small pond's riverbanks. Wings flapped uselessly for one was bent at an angle that no wing should ever be at. It was quite obvious the little one was in quite a lot of pain and it tore at the Soquili's heart. Lowering her head to the frightened friend she whuffed softly upon it before nudging it gently so as not to cause it more pain. "What shall I do with you?" She questioned. She wasn't about to let it lay there for death. A feline or another larger bird would certainly swoop down upon it and have the little bird for a meal. Oh no, she wouldn't allow that to happen so she came up with a plan to return the little friend to its nest. Pointing her silver spiraled horn to the ground she carefully slid the tip along the grassy surface and under the bird before slowly lifitng her head up, causing the bird to slid onto her head after a few faltering tries. Then, once the bird was secure upon her head she moved delicately to the nearest tree before rearing onto hind legs, leaning her knees against the rough bark. There she proceeded to tip her head towards a low lying branch and deposited her little friend on the branch. "There, now you're safe for the time being. Now I'll just get you something to eat." Loweirng her self to the ground with a smile the unicorn trotted off to find something to help aid the little bird back to health.
