Let me know if I do a bad job of trying to explain this.
I am re-incarnated from a woman named Hillary who is otherkin. She talks to me sometimes (not very often, though) and so does her brother in the halls and at lunch sometimes. People always come up to me and ask what I am doing and usually don't leave me alone about it. Grant it, I know it's not smart and I knew I was going to get a hard way to go about it but my 'friends' keep saying I'm talking to myself and otherkin don't exsist. And besides, I have the right to talk to who ever I want, and I don't care if they think I'm nuts. My one friend, Megan, has slept over here many times and has seen ghosts and my doors open and close by themselves and I think she might almost believe. So how can I prove to her I'm not making anything up?

You can't. You can just tell people and let them decide to believe you or not; you can't force a belief on anyone.
But one thing strikes me off. You say you're reincarnated from this woman and yet she talks to you? But if she is you and you are her... why is she manifesting apart from you? Shouldn't you be talking to yourself and reaching back into the past or something? Are you sure she's not a spirit guide or something like that? I just think it is very odd for a reincarnated persona to manifest... apart from the current life.

Inuyasha doesn't think so. xd But yeah, that is kind of wierd. I "imagine" past lives as if I'm speaking with them, but I also feel and know what they feel.

Starlock You can't. You can just tell people and let them decide to believe you or not; you can't force a belief on anyone. True, infact I do not believe you can really prove anything spiritual in a way, its just something that people believe in or they don't

I'm not saying I don't believe you. And I'm not saying don't talk back. However, I think it's a good idea to avoid obvious discussions with people you can see that others can't in a public area. Most people will simply never believe what you say and have no problem calling men in little white coats to come and get you. I'm proud of the fact that you stick to your beliefs in the face of your friends, but take it easy on them. Give them time to warm up to the idea or else you'll scare them off. And that's just the worst way to loose a friend. Trust me, I know.
As for talking to your past life, it is feesable. I know a few people who's Otherkin pastlife self (otherkin pastlife self... yeeeeah, that's a nice phrase. Makes me sound real intelligent. ~sarcasm~) has been repressed - for one reason or another - so long they have to develop their life on their own. They end up with an odd split peronality thing going on. When they awaken that part of themselves, that part hasn't changed so it will usually stay in the shadows and leave the other side to do all the work b/c that side knows how to live in this new environment. So, they can talk to this person, but only in a sense of talking to yourself about something when you have two drasticly different sides of a discussion and agree with both. Sooo, that past life and you share all the same experiences that can be rememebered or felt, but you're seperated enough that it's almost a completely different person. I dunno... I don't have the problem. I just live around it. @.@ It can get so confusing. "Who am I talking to again?" "...Guess." ">.< You suck!"

For one, how can you be reincarnated from a women named Hillary, wouldn't that mean in turn you are Hillary. I think you wern't reincarnated from this women and she is just a spirit.

I feel no need to prove anything. I'm content with what I seem to know and I won't let other people decide on me or who I am. Why should you?
If you're reincarnated from her, why not talk to her through a mental link? That saves some awkwardness.

Okay, I'm confused! Isn't it true that when someone is reincarnated the soul is reborn, what she is making it sound like is there are 2 diffrent souls her's and the Hillary's. In turn then wouldn't she just be talking to her self for she is Hillary and Hillary is her? Unless there are 2 souls in one body, which would eventually lead to the death of the vessel they both are residing in. The only possiblity would be if she was looking at past events of herself, which she isn't. (Sorry if it seems like I'm being rude I'm just trying to express my confusion.)

There are some cases where a person has a splintered soul, and past lives have their own conscious, some can manifest to their present self on the physical plain (because that sentence was not confusing at all). In other cases past lives can be living memories, but I don't know how to explain that one without confusing myself at this time of night. Past lives can be reflections that can be seen within the mind of the present life.
Also multiple souls can coexist within a body as long as the host or vessel is willing.

Actually, they don't have to be willing. The actual person/owner of the body is called a "host" for a reason - the other is a parasite. That doesn't mean evil, it just means they've taken over where they haven't really any right to be. Most are confused and afraid, with the occasional baddie for variety, and sometimes you'll get an angelic presence who stepped in to help someone through a very difficult experience - and of course this gets tricky, because you'll find plenty of confused entities who will call themselves angels or demons. The Chinese (that's the angle from which I studied them) call them gui, and the character depicts a spirit with a hook on it - sort of a spiritual burr.
But let's put that aside. Talking to people who "aren't there" is generally considered a bad sign, and in this day and age would likely get you slammed on meds faster than you can say Quidditch. Bravo if you want to brave some serious ridicule, outgrouping, and possible internment in a psych ward in order to talk about what you're doing, but as you've noticed it'd probably be a lot easier all round if you just told people you like to talk to yourself. Really, when all's said and done, everybody has their own relationship with the otherworldly, and yours won't always match with theirs. I understand the need to reach out - it gets pretty lonely - but maybe you should just concentrate on finding out what *she* believes in. Otherwise you'll end up with well-meaning friends trying to keep her away from the scary man who's trying to indoctrinate her into his cult.

Thats what I have...you try talking to an Elf using shakebearian english! Then try it with a fae who will switch between japanese and english, now that is exhasperating.
