im just kinda starting and i wondered how everyone else started and what should i start with like did you get curious and put on makeup like what was the first thing you did put on makeup or a dress i dunno

It was quite gradual for me. I'm still not a huge crossdresser, but that's only because my living situation prevents it mainly. I dunno, it kinda gradually happened. I always kinda had a curiosity as to what women's clothing was like and I've wanted to wear stuff since middle school... (or maybe earlier, I can't really remember). At any rate, I got really stuck on it when I was encouraged to crossdress for Halloween one year. They called me Emily all night and I found that I really enjoyed it. So I've kinda been doing it when I could ever since then.

hmm, my case is quite similar to Spaghetti's one. I became curious about feminine things at 15, began crossdressing in my early 16, met another crossdresser and had a relation with her for about one year. This experience dramatically boosted my crossdressing, and now, I'm doing it steadily, allthough I'm almost married with my girlfriend (we've been together for six year and it'll surely last really longer) with is comprehensive about that but does not allow me to crossdress when she's there (allthough she loves making love with me wearing sexy lingerie, but that's another story ^^)

It started when I was about 11. I dunno why, I just had a sudden urge to try on my sisters underwear. I used to do it a lot as a kid, but I remember that coming from a love of acting and dressing up, rather than a need to feel girly. Although, in hind sight, I usually took the female parts ...
I just tried on all the girly clothes I could, worked out what felt nice, and what was comfortable, and then what looked good. I never really tried playing around with make-up, as it's easy to ditch clothes in a hurry if your parents arrive back suddenly, but not take your make-up off. But recently I've been messing about with different looks for bands, and eyeliner and lipstick has been known to make an appearance. I still dunno how to do most of it though. I need m,ore practise (and a helpful female friend!)
It's only in the last year (ie. since I moved out of my parents house and in with an understanding friend) that I've been able to experiment and expand my wardrobe. My elder sister knows, but she's not too keen on it. She knows I stole her clothes, but as long as she didn't catch me, she didn't seem to care.
