Before you begin your studies you will need to report to the Chamber of Reception upon your arrival. There you shall be sorted into your houses, of which there are four.

Many of the students knew each other, and many others didnt even see a familiar face. But all of them knew the wonderful feeling of coming to hogwarts. Each student couldn't wait to experience the life of coming to hogwarts. As the air was filled with a feeling of joy and upmost excitement, the students ate their fill of the famous hogwarts food.

At all of the tables, there were mixed feelings as students, new and old, chatted about their summer and what to expect of the school year. Several students were already plotting pranks and tricks to pull, while others talked about what classes they were taking. At the table of the professors, there was the talk of the classes and schedules. Some teachers talked about students they would be teaching, complaining about the followers of fred and george wealsey and such.

Happy to be back at Hogwarts, Serenity smiles as she takes it all in. There was nothing like the beginning of term feast. Well except for all of the others feasts throughout the school year, but the first one always seemed to be the most special. It was a time for catching up with all of her friends and housemates. She waves to a couple of people seated further down the table.

As much as she is enjoying the wonderful food and atmosphere, she really wants to get on with things so that she can catch up with her close group of friends. In between bites of her food she chatters to others about some non important topics.

Serenity wonders what is in store for her this year. It was her fifth year at Hogwarts, supposedly one of the most difficult due to the OWL exams. Since she is off in her own little world and not wanting to sound rude she nods her head a lot, while saying stuff like "uh-huh, yes." Of course she is really trying to see if she can spot her Ravenclaw friends at their table. Alas, there are too many people blocking her view. She sighs slumping back down in her spot with her fork still in hand.

Finally! Serenity thinks as she hears her name being called. She turns to see Mirage waving at her. Grinning widely she straightens up in her seat making herself look a little taller. Careful as to not hit the girl sitting next to her, she stands up as she waves back.

"Mirage!" Excitedly she leaves the table to go say hello to one of her best friends. She was pretty much finished eatting anyway, as she had eatten a few things from the trolly during her train ride there.

"It's so good to see you!" She smiles taking her friend and hugging her. "Seemed like summer would never end. I couldn't wait to get back you know. How have you been?" She asks cheerfully.

A voice called out "Oy! Serendipit-ay! Mirage! Hey, love birds, make way..." A tall, long-legged girl with very straight, very noticible reddish-blonde hair and vibrantly green eyes was striding toward them. She was wearing a smirk despite the fact that she was really smiling. They usually came out in smirks. Jade Alanis approached, hopping over first years, and habitually tossing her hair.
