Hey all, I'm new to this guild. Just thought I'd poll everyone on what they belive is the most shocking Buffy/Angel death ever.
Definately Taras death for me, since I didn't read any spoilers beforehand and completely didn't expect Warren to walk up and pull a gun of all things. I also consider this the most disturbing moment in Buffy history, and the saddest as well due to Willows reaction.

Tara, definitely. Although, really, I guess we should've seen it coming; Willow and Tara were happy again...can't have that, can we, Joss? A happy relationship...
Edit: Actually, for me, MOST shocking was Fred. Definately Fred. That...that...*whimper*

I think mine was probably Buffy in Season 5 or Spike in Season 7 when he died at the end, cause I never saw that coming.. I knew Tara was going to die cause I couldn't resist reading spoilers then. (Bad me sad )
Oh also on Angel when Wes died, that really sucked. I knew someone was going to die, but I didn't want to believe it would be Wesley! I liked the whole Illyria thing, just sad to see Fred go too. All of them in the poll were pretty shocking to me.

i knew that someone had to die at the end of buffy, and i had a feeling it was gonna be spike as soon as he took the pendit, but anya dying was flat out shocking, and saddning, i loved anya...(cry)

bloodlustvampire i knew that someone had to die at the end of buffy, and i had a feeling it was gonna be spike as soon as he took the pendit, but anya dying was flat out shocking, and saddning, i loved anya...(cry) Anya surprised me, although Spike not so much, because I knew he had to leave somehow to go to Buffy, I just wasn't sure how...

Tara's death was pretty suprising. I just felt numb when i saw it happen and how devistated Willow was.

I was pretty surprised when Wesley dies in Angel.. And I also cried pretty hard since I loved him and Fred together. (of course it was more Illyria then Fred..) Anya and Tara's deaths were both equally sad... crying

There were two deaths in the show for me that made me cry...
The first was when Angelus killed Jenny. Although I admit it wasn't so much the snapping of her neck that got me, but how he arranged her up for Giles. Y'know, soft music, roses, champagne... So he could find her dead in his bed. I cry every single time I see that.
The second is when Buffy dies at the end of season five... It's just so beautiful and emotional... Her speech to Dawn was wonderful and I just couldn't stop crying.

i liked jenny, she made giles more human, but he evloved as a character later through the show anyway so i guess her death was ok, still the way angelus aranged her after her death wasnt enought to make me awefully sad, but it did make me go wow

Tara's death was the saddest. I loved her and Willow together. But in Angel, I hated it when Wes dies. He was sooooooooo cool.

I have cried so much over so many things in Buffy and Angel. But my most shocking thing was when Bad Willow skinned Warren. That was a spot where I just said holy sh*t!
Of course I didn't cry over him, I clapped.
