Yeah I heard that he....she was a girl too....but all of the characters, even Hatori, calls him a boy...

That's because only the elder members know about it. Akito is suposed to be a man so they would look weird if they called Aki "her". Ren, Akira, Kureno, Ayame, Hatori, Shigure, Tohru and now Saki and Uo know about her being female. None of the others in the whole family know.

I know, it is shocking isnt it? When I first found out ( I reasearched it on the internet) I was taken aback. You dont expect that, espeically if all you have watched was the anime for the most part.
