Funny how I've hardly ever seen any debate over this from Buffy fans. It's always been about whos the best couple and other corny girly stuff blaugh
I figured it'd be more interesting to discuss who would win in a fight for a change, since fights and humor is the main reason I started watching Buffy to begin with. So who do you all think?
I myself will go with Willow on this, Illyria may be stronger when she first arrives, but that form is unstable and shouldn't really be counted on to make it through a long fight.

I'll have to agree. Illyria is strong, but in the long run the body won't last long.
Willow is definitely strong, espescially when she's angry. She's got a lot of power at her disposal if she wanted to use it.

You talk about Illiriya being unstable, but you got to remember, Dark Willow after using her powers it drains her and she has to refill, or whatever. Giles had the borrowed magic so its not real. Glory can be killed in human form and her power also weakens after a while. Caleb was proven he can easily be beaten. Angel and Spike both can be dusted, Buffy as strong as she is, is only human.
It all depends on the situation and the given surroundings. Angelus or Evil Spike I would say is the all around strongest. They get hurt but they only die via sunlight, stakes and beheading, not to mention they are uber strong. Buffy is a close second. She heals fast, her stamina is by far one of the best, not with standing Angel and Spike (because they dont breathe there for they dont get tired). Illiriya also doesnt fatigue, though because of her unstable condition she gets weak.

I would defenitely go with Angelus on this one, if he counts. We're talking about a badass vampire who maimed and vanquished all in his mighty path.. All of the others seem to have more weaknesses (as mentioned above, Illyria is unstable, Willow gets drained, ect.) and even though he isn't invincible, I also think Angelus/Angel has the purely evil sadistic mind which doesn't make him stop and think about what he's doing.

i think that if u were to put all of them in an open area at night it would be a good fight, i'm pertty sure buffy would come out on top tho, u have to think of who would be smart enough to team up and who's ego would kill them, glory and celib would likely be killed first because i think buffy and spike would team up, even if spike isnt buffy whipped and has no soul, he's still not dumb, and he has sided with buffy before, i think angelous's would be to arrogant to side, but would still hold his own, dark willow could also hold her own alone, but glory cant and calib is even weaker than glory, i think calib would go first, the second glory weakened to human form she's be dead, ilyria and dark willow could last longer without weakning but if they fought eachother it would just be a matter of who weakened first, and after that the other would be weak to and pretty much be screwed, after that it's angelous and spike/buffy, i think buffy and spike would win because buffy can take angelous and spike would help a lot, this is assuming that buffy is carrying a stake which she amlost always is, then it would be between buffy and spike, and i think we can all agree that buffy wins that one to, so overall, buffy wins because of slayer stregnth, stamnia, healing abailty, and improved slayer stragity of who and who not to attack..., of corse this is just my thoughts on the senario, it could go a lot of different ways, i suppose the only ones who could answer this question for sure are the writters

I dunno..I think Glory was pretty badass. No one every actually beat her in a 'fight' if i remember correctly..They kinda had to resort to magic trickery >.>

Willow is definantly the strongest. When she is mad, she goes all CRAZY and even when she isn't mad, she is increadably strong. I mean in the very last episode, she made Kennedy a Slayer, with magic and that had gotta be extremly difficult and must take some serious power.

hmm...i can't comment on the AtS characters cause i didn't watch that, but it's hard to say about the btvs characters. On one hand, it would be easy to say that Buffy is the strongest. But then, physically, Glory was stronger than Buffy. Also several times Spike came really really close to killing her but either the chip or his feelings stoped him, not buffy's strength. I don't know. It's very debatable.

Willow without a doubt. If she really wanted to destroy the world and all her friends in it after Tara died she could have. she had the power that's not even a question. She evolved ALOT during the show. just a few seasons ago she could only float a pencil.
