neutral I mean.... seriously. I've looked around and I've seen one good word on Akito. I'm an Akito fan, I'll admit. I like her/him in the anime better, mostly because in the anime he's male.... but.... I'm a female Akito fan too! He's been kinda cruel, but I bet he has good reasons for it neh?
Note: I haven't read to the point that tells he's a she. I still refer to him/her as a male. I haven't read into the part where it says "He lives to die" either yet. I'm looking for imformation putting this post up.... Anyone want to give me some aid in understanding Akito?

You find out Aki-chan is a girl in ch 97 vol 17.
The whole born to die thing was just some weak plot that was made up for the anime. Aki-chan was born to be loved, we learn this from Akira in vol 18{?} when he tells Akito how long everyone has been waiting for her and she would always be surrounded by people and loved because she is the God.
I really like Aki, she's such a great character and can still manage to be healed by Tohru even after what Ren has done to her.

I feel so bad for Akito! crying She just wanted someone to be with her... and Kureno made a promise to her, even though it hurts him to leave Uo-chan. sad ... But, Akito is supossed to eventually end up with Shigure. Everything about it is just so depressing, to me...

I don't like..it. He/she is so jealous of the other members of the zodiac being in love so he hurts them. It drives me insane because he/she acts so two faced at first to tohru by saying she was cute and "lets be friends"and then smacks her in the face!!

I don't mind her...at the beginning I HATED her...but I've come to realize she's had a rough life...I mean her mother was totally rude to her! Making her dress as a guy her whole life? And to be told you only lived so you could die? That's got to be hard! But, everybody dies...nobody knows when and many things happen to others worse than what happens to Akito and they are perfectly nice...she doesn't need to take it out on others...I wish in your poll there was an option for neutral people...I am neutral towards Akito...

Akito was never told she was born to die. That was some poor ending the anime creators made up, it is not part of the story. Akito was born to be loved, but because of Ren she mentally damaged her when Akira died by telling her the bond was flase and she was going to be left alone.

I do like Akito. Yeah, she's done some awful things, but only because she was so scared of being alone. crying If you think about it, Yuki or Kyo might have ended up bitter and scared like that if they didn't have support from Tohru/family/whoever. Akito doesn't really get that kind of reassurance at all. Desperate people do desperate things, y'know?
